தேசிய நிகழ்வுகள்

• மத்தியப்பிரதேசத்தில் தொடர்ச்சியாக பெய்த மழையின் காரணமாக ரேவாவில் அமைந்துள்ள ஆசியாவின் மிகப்பெரிய சூரிய மின் திட்டமானது சேதமடைந்தது. பலத்த மழையால் ஏற்பட்ட மண் சரிவைத் தொடர்ந்து இந்தச் சேதம் ஏற்பட்டுள்ளது.
  • தற்சமயம் மழை நின்றுவிட்ட காரணத்தால், வல்லுநர்கள் அந்த மின் நிலையத்தை பழுதுப்பார்ப்பதில் மும்முரமாக ஈடுபட்டுள்ளனர். மதிப்பீடுகளின்படி, மழையால் இந்தத் திட்டத்துக்கு ரூ. 20 கோடிக்கு மேல் இழப்பு ஏற்பட்டுள்ளது.

 

 

• வளர்ச்சியில் முதன்மை கவனத்தைச் செலுத்தும் விதமாக நீடித்த 28 அன்று முசோரியில், முதலாவது இமயமலை ஜுலை மாநிலங்களின் மாநாட்டை (Himalayan States’ Conclave) உத்தரகாண்ட் நடத்தவுள்ளது. இமயமலை மாநிலங்கள் எதிர்கொள்ளும் பிரச்சனைகள் குறித்து இந்த மாநாட்டில் விவாதிக்கப்படும். இதில் உத்தரகாண்ட், ஜம்மு  & காஷ்மீர், ஹிமாச்சல பிரதேசம், சிக்கிம், அஸ்ஸாம், அருணாசல பிரதேசம், மேகாலயா, நாகாலாந்து, திரிபுரா மற்றும் நாகலாந்து உள்ளிட்ட அனைத்து இமயமலை மாநிலங்களில் முதலமைச்சர்களும் அவர்களது நிர்வாகிகள் & சிறப்பு வல்லுநர்களுடன் கலந்துகொள்வார்கள்.

 

 

• தமிழ் உள்ளிட்ட அனைத்து மாநில மொழிகளிலும் தபால் துறைத் தேர்வுகளை எழுதலாம் என்றும் கடந்த ஞாயிற்றுக்கிழமை நடைபெற்ற தேர்வு ரத்து செய்யப்படுகிறது என்றும் மாநிலங்களவையில் மத்திய தொலைத் தொடர்புத் துறை அமைச்சர் ரவிசங்கர் பிரசாத் அறிவித்தார்.

 

 

சர்வதேச நிகழ்வுகள்

• பாலாகோட் தாக்குதலுக்குப் பிறகு, இந்திய விமானங்கள் தங்கள் நாட்டு வான்எல்லையில் பறப்பதற்கு விதித்திருந்த தடையை சுமார் நான்கரை மாதங்களுக்குப் பிறகு பாகிஸ்தான் நீக்கியுள்ளது.
  • இதையடுத்து, பாகிஸ்தான் வான்வெளி வழியாகப் பயணம் மேற்கொள்ளாமல் இருந்த இந்திய விமானங்கள், செவ்வாய்க்கிழமை முதல் அப்பகுதியின் வழியாக மற்ற நாடுகளுக்குப் பயணம் மேற்கொண்டன.

 

 

அறிவியல் மற்றும் தொழில்நுட்பம்

• அமெரிக்க ஐக்கிய நாடுகளில் உள்ள ஆராய்ச்சியாளர்கள் மின்னணு சிகரெட்டுகள் மூளைத்தண்டின் செல்களில் மன அழுத்தத்தை உருவாக்குகின்றன என்பதைக் கண்டறிந்துள்ளனர். வளர்ப்புச்சுண்டெலியின் நரம்பியல் தண்டு செல்களைப் பயன்படுத்தி, ந-சிகரெட்டுகளால் தூண்டப்பட்ட தண்டு செல் நச்சுத்தன்மையின் அடியொற்றிய “Stress- Induced Mitochondrial Hyper-fusion(SIMH) என்னும் வழிமுறையை அவர்கள் அடையாளங்கண்டுள்ளனர்.

NATIONAL NEWS

• Uttarakhand will host the first-ever Himalayan states’ conclave here on July 28 where the prime focus will be on sustainable development.
  • The conclave will host the Chief Ministers of the Himalayan states – Uttarakhand, Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Tripura, Mizoram and Nagaland, along with administrators and specialists.

 

 

• In Madhya Pradesh, continuous rain has damaged Asia’s largest solar Power project in Rewa. The damage was caused after heavy rain triggered a mudslide. Now the rain has stopped, and experts are busy repairing this power plant.
  • As per the estimates, this project has suffered a loss of more than Rs 20 crores by rain.

 

 

• Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad Tuesday told the Rajya Sabha that the postal exams held last week have been annulled.
  • He also informed the lower house that fresh examination will be conducted in all local languages including Tamil.

 

 

INTERNATIONAL NEWS

• Pakistan opened its airspace for all civilian traffic on Tuesday morning, sources said, effectively removing the ban on Indian flights that were not allowed to use majority of its airspace since the Balakot airstrikes in February.
  • The Indian Planes will be allowed on the pakistan Airspace after 140 days.

 

 

SCIENCE AND TECH UPDATES

• Researches of United states of America have found that Electric cigarettes will create Stress on the brain stem cells.
  • Researchers do not yet understand how the chemicals in ECs might affect neural stem cells, particularly their mitochondria — organelles that serve as the cell’s powerhouses and are critical in regulating cell health.
