| An act of Parliament which enables creation of a Special tribunal to handle the expenditions disposal of the cases pertaing to environmental issues. | நாடாளுமன்றம் இச்சட்டத்தினை உருவாக்கி அதன்மூலம் சிறப்பு தீர்ப்பாயத்தினை உருவாக்கியது. அத்தீர்ப்பாயம் சுற்றுச்சூழல் தொடர்பான வழக்குகளை விரைந்து முடிப்பதற்காக உருவாக்கப்பட்டது. |
| It draws inspiration from the Consitutional provision of Article 21, which assures the citizens the right to a healthy environment. | அரசலமைப்புச் சட்டம் ஷரத்து 21-ல் குறிப்பிடப்பட்டுள்ளது போல் குடிமகனுக்கு ஆரோக்கியமான சுற்றுச்சூழலுக்கான உரிமை அளிக்க வேண்டும். |

| The NGT has the Power to hear all civil cases relating to environmental issues under. 1. The Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 2. The Forest (conservation) Act, 1980. 3. The Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981. 4. The Environment (Protection) Act, 1986. 5. The Public liability Insurance Act, 1991. 6. The Biological Diversity Act, 2002. |
சுற்றுச்சூழல் தொடர்பான அனைத்து சிவில் வழக்குகளையும் விசாரிப்பதற்கு அதிகாரம் உண்டு. 1. நீர் (மாசுபாடு தடுப்பு மற்றும் கட்டுப்பாடு) சட்டம் 1974. 2. வன பாதுகாப்புச் சட்டம், 1980. 3. காற்று (மாசுபாடு தடுப்பு மற்றும் கட்டுப்பாடு) சட்டம் 1981. 4. சுற்றுச்சூழல் பாதுகாப்புச் சட்டம் 1986. 5. பொதுகாப்பீட்டு பொறுப்புச் சட்டம், 1991 6. பல்லுயிர் பெருக்கச் சட்டம், 2002. |
| The NGT has not been vested with power to hear any matter relating to (i) The Wildlife (Protection) Act, 1972. (ii) The Indian Forest Act, 1927 |
இருப்பினும் கீழ்க்கண்டச் சட்டத்தின் அடிப்படையில் வழக்குகளை விசாரிக்க அதிகாரமில்லை (i) வனஉயிரினங்கள் பாதுகாப்புச் சட்டம், 1972. (ii) இந்திய வனச்சட்டம், 1927. |
