• இந்தியாவில் கண்டறியப்பட்டதாக கூறப்படும் B.1. 617 உருமாற்றம் அடைந்த கரோனா வைரஸ்க்கு எதிராக பைஸர், மாடர்னா தடுப்பூசிகள் சிறப்பாக செயல்படுவதாக அமெரிக்காவில் நடத்தப்பட்ட ஆய்வில் தெரிவிக்கபட்டுள்ளது.
  • இந்த ஆய்வை NYU Grossman School of Medicine என்ற மருத்துவ மையம் நடத்தியுள்ளது.
  • அந்த ஆய்வில் ‘புதிய வகை உருமாற்றம் அடைந்த கரோனா வைரஸ்கள் வேகமாக பரவக் கூடியவை என்றாலும் தடுப்பூசிகள் போட்டுக் கொண்டால் பாதிக்கப்படாமல் தவிர்க்கலாம்.

• 17வது திபெத்திய நாடாளுமன்றத்தின் முன்னாள் சபாநாயகர் பென்பா செரிங், நாடு கடத்தப்பட்ட அரசாங்கத்தின் புதிய தலைவராக ஜனாதிபதியாக தேர்ந்தெடுக்கப்பட்டார்.

• Iran has unveiled a new supercomputer named ‘Simorgh
  • Iran has unveiled a new supercomputer named ‘Simorgh’, which is 100 times more powerful than the previous supercomputer of the country to date. The supercomputer has been developed indigenously by Tehran’s Amirkabir University of Technology (AUT).
  • It has been named after a mythical Phoenix-like bird ‘Simurgh’.
