- முதல் பிரிக்ஸ் வேலைவாய்ப்பு செயற்குழு கூட்டம் (Employment Working Group) மே 11-12ல் புதுடெல்லியில் மெய்நிகர் வடிவத்தில் நடைபெற்றது.
இந்த ஆண்டு பிரிக்ஸ் தலைமையை இந்தியா ஏற்றுக்கொண்டுள்ளது.
பிரிக்ஸ் உறுப்பு நாடுகளின் பிரதிநிதிகளில் பிரேசில், ரஷ்யா, இந்தியா, சீனா மற்றும் தென்னாப்ரிக்கா அடங்கும்.
இக்கூட்டத்திற்கு தொழிலாளர் மற்றும் வேலைவாய்ப்பு துறை செயலாளர் அபூர்வா சந்திரா அவர்கள் தலைமை தாங்கினார்.
- புதிய விண்மீன் கூட்டமான ‘ஏபெல் 3827’ன் அற்புத புகைப்படத்தை அமெரிக்காவின் நாசா விண்வெளி ஆய்வு மையம் வெளியீட்டுள்ளது.
அமெரிக்காவின் நாசா விண்வெளி ஆய்வு மையம், ஐரோப்பிய விண்வெளி ஆய்வு மையம் ஆகியவை இணைந்து 1990, ஏப்ரல் 24-ல் ஹப்பிள் தொலைநோக்கியை விண்ணில் நிலைநிறுத்தின.
31 ஆண்டுகளில் இந்த தொலைநோக்கி 48000க்கும் மேற்பட்ட நட்சத்திரங்கள் கோள்களை புகைப்படம் எடுத்துள்ளது.
சுமார் 15 லட்சம் புகைப்படங்களை நாசாவுக்கு ஹப்பிள் அனுப்பியுள்ளது.
130 கோடி ஒளி ஆண்டுகள் தொலைவிலுள்ள புதிய விண்மீன் கூட்டத்தை ஹப்பிள் தொலைநோக்கி படம் பிடித்துள்ளது. ‘ஏபெல் 3827’ என்ற மிகப் பெரிய விண்மீன் கூட்டமாகும்.
- அமெரிக்கா நாடாளுமன்ற கீழவையின் பிரதிநிதிகள் சபையின் குடியரசு கட்சித் தலைவராக அமெரிக்க முன்னாள் அதிபர் டொனால்ட் டிரம்பின் ஆதரவாளரான எலீஸ் ஸ்டெஃபானிக் தேர்ந்தெடுக்கப்பட்டுள்ளார்.
லிஸ் செனிக்கு பதிலாக எலீஸ் ஸ்டெபானிக் தேர்ந்தெடுக்கப்பட்டார்.
லிஸ் செனி முன்னாள் அதிபர் டிரம்பை கடுமையாக விமர்சித்து வந்தார். இந்நிலையில் இப்பதவிக்கு நடத்தப்பட்ட வாக்கெடுப்பில் தோல்வியடைந்தார்.
