- நேபாள பிரதமராக மீண்டும் சர்மா ஓலி நியமனம் செய்யப்ட்டார்.
- நேபாளத்தில் எதிர்கட்சிகள் ஆட்சியமைக்க தவறியதால் கே.பி.சர்மா ஓலியை மீண்டும் பிரதமராக நேபாள நாட்டின் அதிபர் வித்யாதேவி பண்டாரி நியமித்தார்.
- மே 14 அன்று சர்மா ஓலி பிரதமராக பதவியேற்கிறார்.
- நேபாள நாட்டு அரசியலமைப்பு சட்டப்படி பதவியேற்ற 30 நாட்களுக்குள் சர்மா ஓலி பெரும்பான்மையை நிரூபிக்க வேண்டும்.
- முன்னதாக நேபாள கம்யூனிஸ்ட் கட்சி தலைவர் புஷ்பகமல் தாஹால் அரசு அளித்து வந்த ஆதரவை திரும்ப பெற்றதால் நாடாளுமன்றத்தில் சர்மா ஓலி தலைமையிலான கட்சி பெரும்பான்மையை இழந்தது.
- 275 உறுப்பினர்கள் கொண்ட பிரதிநிதிகள் சபையில் கே.பி.சர்மா ஓலிக்கு ஆதரவாக 93 வாக்குகளும் எதிராக 124 வாக்குகளும் அளித்தனர்.
- நம்பிக்கை வாக்கெடுப்பை வெல்ல 136 வாக்குகள் தேவைப்பட்ட நிலையில் நம்பிக்கை வாக்கெடுப்பை இழந்தார்.
- வெளிநாடு வாழ் இந்தியர்கள் 2020-ம் ஆண்டில் சுமார் ரூ.6.13 லட்சம் கோடியை தாய்நாட்டுக்கு அனுப்பி வைத்துள்ளதாக உலக வங்கி தெரிவித்துள்ளது.
- இது கடந்த 2019-ம் ஆண்டு ஒப்பிடுகையில் 0.2% குறைவாகும்.
- இந்த பட்டியலில் இந்தியா முதலிடத்தில் உள்ளது. இரண்டாவது இடத்தில் சீனா உள்ளது.
- 3வது இடத்தில் மெக்சிகோ உள்ளது.
- அமெரிக்க விண்வெளி நிறுவனமான நாசா 4.5 பில்லியன் ஆண்டுகள் பழமையான சிறுகோள் பென்னுவின் படத்தை பகிர்ந்துள்ளது. சிறுகோளின் படம் ஒசைரிஸ் ரெக்ஸ் விண்கலத்தால் பிடிக்கப்பட்டது.
- “OSIRIS-Rex” எனப்படும் நாசா விண்கலமான பூமிக்கு திரும்புவதற்கான தனது 2 வருட நீண்ட பயணத்தை தொடங்கியுள்ளது.
- 2018-ம் ஆண்டில் இந்த விண்கலமானது பென்னு என்ற குறுங்கோளை அடைந்தது.

- K P Sharma re-appointed as Nepal PM
- K P Sharma Oli was again appointed Nepal’s Prime Minister by President Bidhya Devi Bhandari on Thursday after opposition parties were unable to put together a coalition government.
- Oli, who had lost a trust vote in the House of Representatives on Monday, will take the oath of office on Friday. He must prove that he has majority support in the House within 30 days
- He previously served as prime minister from October 11, 2015 to August 3, 2016 and again from February 15, 2018 to May 13, 2021.
- India received $83 billion in remittances in 2020: World Bank report
- India received over USD83 billion in remittances in 2020, a drop of just 0.2 per cent from the previous year, according to a World Bank report.
- China, which received USD 59.5 billion in remittances in 2020 against USD 68.3 billion the previous year, is a distant second in terms of global remittances for the year gone by, as per the latest World Bank data released on Wednesday.In 2019, India had received USD83.3 billion in remittances.The report said India’s remittances fell by just 0.2 per cent in 2020.
