• The Motor Vehicles Amendment Act, which was approved by President Ram Nath Kovind last month aims at stricter punishment for violation of traffic regulations.

• Tamil Nadu BJP Chief Tamilisai Soundrarajan is appointed as the Telangana Governor. Tamilisai stated that her term as the state Chief ends in December, allowing her to take up the role of Governor.
