இந்திய நிகழ்வுகள்

 

• உலகில் அதிகமான இரயில்பெட்டி உற்பத்தியாளராக சென்னையில் உள்ள “ஒருங்கிணைந்த இரயில்பெட்டி தொழிற்சாலை” (ICF – Integral Coach Factory) சீனாவை பின்னுக்கு தள்ளி முதலிடத்தில் உள்ளது.
  • சென்னையில் உள்ள ஒருங்கிணைந்த இரயில் பெட்டி தொழிற்சாலை 1952ல் தொடங்கப்பட்டது.

 

 

• இந்திய இராணுவம் மற்றும் இலங்கை இராணுவங்களிடையே நடைபெறும் “மித்ரா சக்தி – VI” (Mitra Shakti – VI) கூட்டு இராணுவ பயிற்சியானது இலங்கையில் மார்ச் 26 முதல் ஏப்ரல் 8 வரை நடைபெற உள்ளது.
  • இந்திய இராணுவத்தின் BIHAR படைப்பிரிவின் 1வது பட்டாலியன் இப்பயிற்சியில் பங்கேற்க உள்ளது.

• உலக டென்னிஸ் வீரர், வீரர்களின் தரவரிசைப் பட்டியலை சர்வதேச டென்னிஸ் சம்மேளனம் சமீபத்தில் வெளியிட்டுள்ளது.
  • ஆண்கள் ஒற்றையர் தரவரிசைப் பட்டியலில் செர்பியாவின் நோவக் ஜோகோவிச் முதலிடத்திலும், ஸ்பெயினின் ரபேல் நடால் இரண்டாவது இடத்திலும் உள்ளனர்.
  • இந்தியாவின் பிரஜ்னேஷ் குணேஷ்வரன் 84வது இடத்தில் உள்ளார்.

• மாணவர்களுக்கும் அவர்களது பெற்றோர்க்கும் தேர்வு தொடர்பான மன அழுத்தத்தை குறைப்பதற்காக, குஜராத்தின் காந்தி நகரில் உள்ள பொது நலத்திற்கான இந்திய நிறுவனம் (IIPHG – Indian Institute of Public Health Gandhi Nagar) “Conquer Exam, Be a Warriors” என்ற மொபைல் செயலியை அறிமுகப்படுத்தியுள்ளது.

 

 

விருதுகள்

 

• கணிதத் துறையில் சிறந்த பங்களிப்பை அளித்ததற்காக வழங்கப்படும் “ஏபல் பரிசானது – 2019ம் ஆண்டில் அமெரிக்க கணிதவியலாளர் “கரேன் செஸ்குல்லா உல்லேன்பெக்” என்பவருக்கு வழங்கப்பட்டது.
  • இவர்தான் கணித துறையில் மிகப்பெரிய விருது பெற்ற முதல் பெண் ஆவார்.

 

 

நியமனங்கள்

 

• இந்திய தேர்தல் ஆணையமானது, வாக்களிப்பதின் அவசியம் குறித்து மக்களிடையே விழிப்புணர்வை ஏற்படுத்துவதற்காக 12 தேர்தல் நல்லெண்ண தூதுவர்களை நியமித்துள்ளது.
  • இதில் மகாராஷ்டிராவின் திருநங்கை சமூக ஆர்வலர் “கௌரி சவன்ட்” முதல் திருநங்கையாக தேர்வு செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளார்.
  • திருநங்கைகளுக்கான வாக்களிக்கும் உரிமையானது 2014ல் வழங்கப்பட்டது.
  • தற்போது இந்தியாவின் 2086 திருநங்கைகள் வாக்காளராக உள்ளனர்.

• சர்வதேச காடுகள் தினம் – மார்ச் 21 (International Day of Forest)
  • மக்களுக்கு காடுகளின் முக்கியத்துவத்தைப் பற்றி விழிப்புணர்வை ஏற்படுத்துவதற்காக ஐக்கிய நாடுகள் அவையால் ஆண்டுதோறும் மார்ச் 21 அன்று சர்வதேச காடுகள் தினம் கடைபிடிக்கப்படுகிறது.
  • 2019ம் ஆண்டு சர்வதேச காடுகள் தின மையக்கருத்து:- “காடுகள் மற்றும் கல்வி – காடுகளை நேசிக்க கற்றுக் கொள்ளுங்கள்” (Forests and Education – Learn to Love Forests) என்பதாகும்.

 

 

• உலக குறை நோய்க்குறி தினம் – மார்ச் 21 (World Down Syndrome Day)
  • ஐக்கிய நாடுகள் அவையால் உலக குறை நோய்க்குறி தினமானது மார்ச் 21 அன்று கடைபிடிக்கப்படுகிறது.
  • 2019 உலக குறை நோய்க்குறி தின மையக்கருத்து:-“Leave no one behind” என்பதாகும்.

NATIONAL NEWS

• Indian Railways Integral Coach Factory (ICF) has surpassed the top Chinese manufacturers after creating a 40% record increase in its production. With this, Indian Railway’s oldest and premier coach manufacturing unit becomes the single largest rail coach manufacturer in the world.
  • ICF has manufactured 2,919 coaches from April 2018 to February 2019 as compared to 2,600 coaches by Chinese manufacturers.

 

• SBI has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Bank of China, third-largest bank in the world by capital size and one of the major players in the Chinese banking sector, to enhance business synergies between both the banks. This MoU will facilitate the clients of both the banks to access banking products and services of each other, which will lead to a mutually beneficial relationship.

 

• Exercise ‘Mitra Shakti’ between India and Sri Lanka will be conducted from March 26 to April 8 for the year 2018-19, in Sri Lanka. It is conducted annually as part of military diplomacy and interaction between armies of two nations.
  • Troops from 1st Battalion the Bihar Regiment of the Indian Army and Gemunu Watch Battalion of Sri Lankan Army would be jointly undertaking the exercise.

 

INTERNATIONAL NEWS

• The Government of Indonesia has hosted the first ever High-Level Dialogue on Indo-Pacific Cooperation (HLD-IPC) in its capital city Jakarta. The theme of the HLD was “Towards a Peaceful, Prosperous, and Inclusive Region”. It was inaugurated by Indonesia’s Vice President Jusuf Kalla.
  • The Dialogue saw the participation of representatives from India, Australia, US, Brunei Darussalam, Japan, South Korea, Russia, New Zealand and China apart from 10 member ASEAN countries.

 

SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY

• Japanese unmanned spacecraft, Hayabusa2 reached Asteriod Ryugu on June, 2018. Since then, the spacecraft landed multiple robotic probes on its rocky terrain of the Asteroid Ryugu.
  • The spacecraft had surveyed 69,000 locations covering almost 90 percent of Asteroid Ryugu by using a near-infrared spectrometer capable of detecting hydrated minerals.

 

APPOINTMENTS

• On 20th March 2019, former India hockey captain Sardar Singh along with 13 Indian Olympic Association (IOA) members, have been named in various Standing Committees with of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) at its 38th General Assembly which held in Bangkok.

 

SPORTS NEWS

• On 19th March 2019, The 2019 season of the T10 Cricket Match signed to be held in the Zayed Cricket Stadium, Abu Dhabi for the next five years. The first match in the T10 League will be held on 23rd October 2019.

• World Poetry Day observed on 21st March 2019 to encourage the reading, writing, and teaching of poetry throughout the world.
  • In the year 1999 during its 30th General Conference in Paris, The United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) adopted this day to support linguistic diversity and to safeguard endangered languages.
