தமிழக நிகழ்வுகள்

 

• பேரிடர் மேலாண்மை தொடர்பான தரவுகளை இணைத்து குறிப்பிட்ட பகுதிகளில் வெள்ள எச்சரிக்கைகளை வழங்குவதற்காகவும், பேரிடர் மேலாண்மைக்கான மதிப்பீட்டிற்காகவும், தமிழ்நாடு மாநில பேரிடர் மேலாண்மை ஆணையமானது TN-ஸ்மார்ட்(Smart) என்ற செயலியை அறிமுகப்படுத்த உள்ளது.
  • தமிழ்நாட்டின் பல்வகை அபாய பாதிப்பு தாக்க மதிப்பீடு மற்றும் அவசரகால செயல்பாட்டு கண்காணிப்பு(Tamil Nadu – System for Multi-hazard Potential Impact Assessment and Emergency Response Tracking) என்பதன் சுருக்கமே TN-ஸ்மார்ட் (smart) ஆகும்.

 

 

இந்திய நிகழ்வுகள்

 

• ஸ்வச் – தாரா(Swatch Dhara) : ஆந்திர பிரதேசம் மாநிலம் முழுவதும் தூய குடிநீரை வழங்கும் நோக்கத்துடன் அம்மாநில அரசானது Swatch – Dhara  (ஸ்வச் – தாரா) என்னும் திட்டத்தை தொடங்கியுள்ளது.
  • இத்திட்டத்தின் மூலம், வழங்கப்படும் குடிநீர் ஆறு படிநிலைகளில் தூய்மைபடுத்தப்பட்டு UV-கதிர்கள் மூலம் பாக்டீரிய அழிக்கப்பட்டு வழங்கப்படுகிறது.

 

• மகளிர் பாதுகாப்பை வலுப்படுத்தும் வகையில் இரண்டு புதிய இணையதளங்கள் உள்துறை அமைச்சர் ராஜ்நாத் சிங் தொடங்கி வைத்துள்ளார்.
  • குழந்தைகளை ஆபாசமாக காட்டுவது, குழந்தைகளை பாலியல் ரீதியாக துன்புறுத்துவது, கூட்டு பாலியல் பலாத்காரம் தொடர்பான பாலியல் தகவல்களுக்கு எதிராக Cybercrime.gov.in  என்ற இணையதளத்தில் புகார்களை தெரிவிக்கலாம்.
  • பாலியல் குற்றங்களை கண்காணிப்பது மற்றம் அது தொடர்பான விசாரணைக்கு உதவுவதை நோக்கமாகக் கொண்டது. பாலியல் குற்றச் செயலில் ஈடுபடுவர்கள் தொடர்பான தேசிய புள்ளிவிவர இணையதளம் போன்றவற்றை வெளியிட்டுள்ளார்.

 

 

• இந்தியப் பெருங்கடல் பகுதியில் அமைந்துள்ள இந்தியா உட்பட 21 கடலோரப் பகுதி நாடுகள் இணைந்து IORA (Indian Ocean Rim Association)  என்னும் அமைப்பை ஏற்படுத்தியுள்ளன. இந்த அமைப்பின் சார்பில் புதுப்பிக்கத்தக்க எரிசக்தி தொடர்பான கருத்தரங்கம் அக்டோபர் 2-ம் நாள் புதுடெல்லியில் நடைபெற உள்ளது.
  • சர்வதேச அளவில் இரண்டாவது முறையாக நடைபெறும் இந்த கருத்தரங்கின் தொடக்க நிகழ்ச்சியில் பிரதமர் மோடி, ஐ.நா. சபையின் பொதுச் செயலாளர் அன்ந்டோனியோ குத்தரஸ் மற்றம் பிறநாடுகளைச் சேர்ந்த தலைவர்கள் கலந்து கொள்கின்றனர்.
  • இதற்காக நான்கு நாள் பயணமாக ஐ.நா. பொது சபையின் பொதுச் செயலாளர் அன்ட்டோனியோ குட்டரஸ் அக்டோபர் 1-ம் தேதி இந்தியா வரவுள்ளார்.

 

 

• தனிநபர்கள் மற்றும் தனியார் நிறுவனங்கள் சில முக்கிய துறைகளில் தொழில் தொடங்குவதற்கு பாதுகாப்பு அனுமதி பெறுவதை எளிதாக்குவதற்காக மத்திய உள்துறை அமைச்சகமானது(MHA – Ministry of Home Affairs), இ-சஹரஜ் (e-Sharjah)  என்ற தளத்தை தொடங்கியுள்ளது.
  • இந்த ஆன்லைன் தளமானது பாதுகாப்பு ஒப்புதல் செயல்முறைகளை நிலைப்படுத்தப்பட்டதாகவும், வேகமாகவும், வெளிப்படையாகவும் மற்றும் கண்காணிப்பை எளிதாகவும் மாற்றுகிறது.

 

உலக நிகழ்வுகள்

 

• பொறுப்பான, நிலையான மற்றும் உலகளாவிய அளவில் அணுகக்கூடிய சுற்றுலாத் தன்மையை மேம்படுத்துதலை பணியாகக் கொண்ட UNWTO -இன் (United Nations World Tourism Organization) 7-வது உலகளாவிய நகர்புற சுற்றுலா உச்சி மாநாடு தென்கொரியாவின் தலைநகரான சியோலில் நடைபெற்றது.

 

 

• ஜப்பான் ஆளுங்கட்சி தலைவராக மீண்டும் தேர்ந்தெடுக்கப்பட்டுள்ள ஷன்சோ அபே மூன்றாவது முறையாக அந்நாட்டின் பிரதமராக தேர்ந்தெடுக்கப்பட்டுள்ளார்.

 

 

• இதில், மொத்தமுள்ள 807 வாக்குகளில் ஷின்சோ அபே 553 வாக்குகளைப் பெற்று வெற்றிபெற்றள்ளார். இதன் மூலம் ஜப்பானில் நீண்டகாலம் பிரதமர் பதவி வகித்தவர் என்ற சாதனையைப் படைத்துள்ளார்

 

விருதுகள்

 

• நிலம், கடல் மற்றும் காற்று ஆகியவற்றில் வீரச்செயல் புரிந்தவர்களுக்காக வழங்கப்படும் உயரிய விருதான டென்ஜிங் நார்கே விருது (Tenzing Norgay Award) INSV  – தாரனியின் அனைத்து மகளிர் குழுவிற்கு வழங்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
  • உலகம் முழுவதும் எட்டு மாத கால அளவிற்கு மேற்கொண்ட கடல் பயணத்திற்காகவும் சாதகமற்ற நீரில் நீடித்த அவர்களின் திறனுக்காகவும் இக்குழுவிற்கு அவ்விருது வழங்கப்பட்டது

• குறிப்பு:
  • 72-வது சுதந்திர தினத்தில் இக்குழுவினர் நாவ் சேனா Nav Sena Medal  விருதைப் பெற்றது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.

• World Peace Day – 2018 (உலக அமைதி தினம் – செப்டம்பர் 21)
  • உலக நாடுகளில் உள்ள மக்களிடையே சமாதானத்தைப் (அமைதி) பற்றிய விழிப்புணர்வை ஏற்படுத்துவதற்காக ஒவ்வொரு ஆண்டும் செப்டம்பர் 21-ஆம் நாள் உலக அமைதி தினம், ஐ.நா. பொதுச்சபையால் அனுசரிக்கப்படுகிறது.
  • மனித உரிமைகள் பற்றிய உலகளாவிய பிரகடனத்தின் 70-வது ஆண்டு நிறைவை கொண்டாடும் விதமாக இத்தினத்தின் கருத்துருவாக(Theme – 2018 : “The Right to Peace – The Universal Declaration of Human Rights at 70”) என நிர்ணயிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

NATIONAL NEWS

 

• Prime Minister Narendra Modilaid the foundation stone of India International Convention and Expo Centre (IICC) in Dwarka, New Delhi. The facilities provided at the centre will be on par with the best in the world in size and quality, offering setting for international and national events, meetings, conferences, exhibitions and trade shows. 
  • It will rank among the top 10 in the world and the biggest indoor exhibition space in India.

 

• In a big push to modernise India’s emergency response infrastructure, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA)and Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO),Department of Space are collaborating together to set up an advance Integrated Control Room for Emergency Response (ICR-ER).
  • A Memorandum of Understanding(MoU) regarding the same was signed between ISRO and MHA which will enable setting up of a state-of-the-art Integrated Control Room for Emergency Response (ICR-ER) in Ministry of Home Affairs.

 

• The Union Home Minister, Shri Rajnath Singh has launched two separate portals to strengthen Women Safety. The portal “gov.in” will receive complaints from citizens on objectionable online content related to child pornography, child sexual abuse material, sexually explicit material such as rape and gang rape.
  • The second portal unveiled by the Union Home Minister today relates to the National Database on Sexual Offenders (NDSO). It is a central database of “sexual offenders”in the country which will be maintained by the NCRB for regular monitoring and tracking by the State Police.

 

• Tamil Nadugovernment announced scheme for the protection of the exotic Neela kurinji (Strobilanthus kunthianus) plants in Nilagiri district of Tamilnadu. This came after the complaints of packaging and selling them on commercial basis. The Neela Kurinju is a native to the Western Ghats.

 

• Cyclonic storm ‘Daye‘ is likely to cause damage to the road, rail and communication channels in various districts of Odisha. The cyclonic storm has caused heavy rains along with the high-speed wind in various parts of the region.

 

• Arunachal Pradeshbecomes the first State in North East India to introduce Smart e-Public Distribution System (e-PDS), a solution developed by the Madras Security Printers, a company specializing in system integration and solutions for e-governance projects.
  • The End-to-end e-PDS system provides centralized online real-time electronic PDS to improve efficiency in supplying commodities to the beneficiaries.

 

• Asian News International, ANIand Emirates News Agency, WAM, the official news agency of the UAE government has signed an MoU, for bilateral cooperation in the area of the free news exchange in Abu Dhabi.

 

INTERNATIONAL NEWS

 

• To reduce carbon footprint and promote sustainable energy, Indiacontributed one million US dollars for the installation of solar panels on the roof of the imposing UN building in New York.

 

• The World Tourism Organization (UNWTO)is organizing the 7th UNWTO Global Summit on Urban Tourism: A 2030 Vision for Urban Tourism, in Seoul, Republic of Korea.
  • The Summit provides a unique platform to discuss the key issues shaping the future of urban tourism in the context of the 2030 Urban Agenda.

 

• The 3rd edition of acclaimed International Business Conference  ‘MahaBiz 2018’ will be held in Dubaion 12th and 13th October 2018. MahaBiz is considered a bridge for business opportunities between Maharashtra state and Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region.
  • GCC is a political and economic alliance of six middle eastern countries.It includes Saudi Arabia , UAE , Kuwait , Oman , Bahrain and Qatar.

 

ECONOMY

 

• Fitch Ratingsupped India’s growth forecast for the current fiscal to 8% from 7.4% earlier, but flagged rising oil bill and higher interest rates as key concerns. Fitch, in its Global Economic Outlook, said it expects inflation to rise to the upper end of the central bank’s target and on relatively high demand-pull pressures and rupee depreciation.

 

• TheCorporation Bank has signed an information utility (IU) agreement with National e-Governance Services Ltd (NeSL), the first IU registered with the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India (IBBI), to share financial and security information under IBBI (IU) Regulation 2017.

 

SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY

 

• NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration)’s Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite (TESS) has discovered two new earth-like exoplanets namely: “super-Earth”and “hot Earth”.
  • Super-Earth: It is named as Pi Mensae c. It is 60 light-years away. It orbits its sun every 6.3 days. Hot-Earth: It is named as LHS 3844 b. It is 49 light-years away. It orbits its sun every 11 hours. Both the planets are too hot to support life.

 

• Yusaku Maezawa, a Japanese businessman, will be the first private moon tourist, to fly on Big Falcon Rocket (BFR) of SpaceX around the Moon in 2023.
  • The Big Falcon Rocket (BFR) is in development. It is 118 meters long. It will comprise a first stage with engines and fuel systems, and a second stage with the spacecraft where the passengers will ride.

 

AWARDS

 

• Union Transport Minister felicitated Bollywood actor Anushka Sharmaduring the 34th anniversary of Priyadarshni Academy Global Award, in Mumbai. She received the Smita Patil award for best actor.
  • She is gearing up for the release of her film Sui Dhaaga which is inspired by the Make in India campaign that was launched by the government in 2014.

 

• The National Sports Awards 2018 wereofficially announced. The full list of National Sports Awards winners was released by Press Information Bureau (PIB). Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli and weightlifter Saikhom Mirabai Chanu will receive the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award- India’s highest sports honour.
  • Kohli will become the third Indian cricketer after legendarySachin Tendulkar (1997) and the talismanic former captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni (2007) once the sports ministry officially accepts the committee’s recommendation.
  • CWG and Asiad gold medalist javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra, Asiad double medalist sprinter Hima Dasand Indian batswoman Smriti Mandhana will receive Arjuna award 2018.

 

• Mousumi Khatuamade it a philosophy of her life and scripted history as she became the first woman from Kalyani City, West Bengal to climb Asia’s highest volcanic peak Mount Damavand. Damavand, the highest peak in Iran and a potentially active volcano.

• 21^stSeptember 2018, World Alzheimer’s Day was observed all over the world. On this day, Alzheimer’s organizations throughout the world create awareness about Alzheimer’s disease.
  • World Alzheimer’s Day is observed on 21 September since 2012. Also, Septemberis observed as World Alzheimer’s Month.
