• முதல் தலைமுறை மாணவர்களுக்கு கல்வி கட்டணம் ரத்து செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளது தொடர்பான அறிவுறுத்தலை தொழில்நுட்ப கல்வி இயக்குனரகம் வெளியிட்டுள்ளது.
  • பொறியியல் படிப்பில் சேரும் முதல் தலைமுறை மாணவ, மாணவியருக்கு கல்வி கட்டணம் ரத்து செய்யும் திட்டத்தை தமிழக அரசு 2010-ம் ஆண்டு நடைமுறைப்படுத்தியது.
  • சுயநிதி பொறியியல் கல்லூரிகளில் கலந்தாய்வு மூலம் சேரும் மாணவர்களுக்கு அரசு கட்டணமாக 25,000 நிர்ணயித்துள்ளது.

• சவூதி அரேபியாவில் பொருளாதார மாநாட்டில் இந்திய பிரதமர் மோடி பங்கேற்பு.
  • சவூதி தலைநகர் ரியாவில் “எதிர்கால முதலீட்டுக்கான தொடக்கம்” என்ற தலைப்பில் பொருளாதார மாநாடு நடைபெறுகிறது.
  • “இந்தியாவில் அடுத்தது என்ன?” என்ற தலைப்பில் மோடி உரையாற்ற உள்ளார்.

 

 

• சீக்கிய பல்கலைக்கழகத்தை அமைக்கும் பணியைத் தொடங்கியது பாகிஸ்தான் அரசு.
  • சீக்கிய மதத்தை தோற்றுவித்தவரான குருநானக்கின் பிறந்த இடமான நன்கானா சாஹிப் நகரத்தில் 10 ஏக்கர் பரப்பளவில் கட்டப்படவுள்ளது.

  • சர்தார் வல்லபாய் படேலின் பிறந்த தினம் தேசிய ஒற்றுமை தினமாக கொண்டாடப்பட்டு வருகிறது.
  • படேலின் நினைவாக குஜராத் மாநிலத்தில் ஒற்றுமைக்கான சிலை அமைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

NATIONAL NEWS

• On October 26, 2019, in the city of Ayodhya 4 lakh earthen lamps were lit along the banks of Sarayu river. The event was organized by the Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath. It was the third and largest Deepotsav in Ayodhya after he came to power. Last year around 3 lakh lamps were lit.

• A 28-member delegation from European Union met PM Modi on October 28, 2019. The delegation will visit Kashmir on October 29, 2019. The delegation is to check on the reality of the situation in Kashmir.
  • This is the first trip to the region by a foreign delegation after India revoked Article 370 and integrated Kashmir with the rest of the country. India rejected US ‘s plea to visit the region earlier in October.

INTERNATIONAL NEWS

• India has approached the world body ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization) after Pakistan denied permission for PM Modi to use its air space. The overflight clearances are granted by other countries according to ICAO guidelines.

SCIENCE AND TECH UPDATES

• Scientists have accidentally discovered ‘the footprints a monstrous galaxy’ being called as ‘Cosmic Yeti’ in early universe that has never been seen before. The discovery provides new insights into the first growing steps of some of biggest galaxies in universe. The astronomical findings were published in Astrophysical Journal

    • The “cosmic Yeti” galaxy so far might have been concealed by dust clouds and had as many stars as the Milky Way.
    • It was forming new stars at a rate that was over 100 times faster than in Milky Way.
