தேசிய நிகழ்வுகள்

 

  • மாநிலத்தின் தொலைதூர மற்றும் பழங்குடியினர் பகுதிகளில் பைக்குகள் மூலம் மருத்துவ சேவைகளை வழங்குமாறு ஆந்திர முதல்வர் ஒய்.எஸ்.ஜெகன் மோகன் ரெட்டி அதிகாரிகளுக்கு அக்டோபர் 18 அன்று உத்தரவிட்டார்.
    • மருத்துவ மற்றும் சுகாதாரத் துறையின் மறுஆய்வுக் கூட்டத்தின் போது, மருத்துவமனைகளில் உள்ள அனைத்து வளர்ச்சி மற்றும் சீரமைப்பு பணிகளையும் 2020 டிசம்பருக்குள் முடிக்குமாறு அதிகாரிகளுக்கு உத்தரவிட்டார்.

 

 

  • ‘இன்டர்போல்’ அமைப்பின் 91-ஆவது பொது அவை கூட்டம் வரும் 2022 இல் இந்தியாவில் நடைபெறுகிறது.
    • இந்நிலையில், சிலியின் சாண்டியாகோவில் இன்டர்போலின் 88-ஆவது பொது அவைக் கூட்டம் நடைபெற்று வருகிறது. இதில், 91-ஆவது கூட்டத்தை இந்தியாவில் நடத்துவதற்கான முன்மொழிவை, சிபிஐ இயக்குநர் ரிஷி குமார் சுக்லா சமர்ப்பித்தார்.

 

 

  • மத்திய அரசின் வீடுதோறும் சமையல் எரிவாயு இணைப்பு வழங்கும் திட்டமான ‘உஜ்வலா’ திட்டத்தின் மூலம், வடகிழக்கு மாநிலங்களில் ரூ.3,000 கோடி முதலீடு கிடைத்தது என்று அதிகாரிகள் தெரிவித்தனர். கடந்த 2016-ஆம் ஆண்டு ‘உஜ்வலா’ திட்டத்தை அறிமுகப்படுத்தியது.
    • இந்தத் திட்டத்தின் கீழ், வறுமைக்கோட்டுக்கு கீழ் உள்ள சுமார் 5 கோடி குடும்பங்களுக்கு மலிவான விலையில் சமையல் எரிவாயு இணைப்பு வழங்க மத்திய அரசு திட்டமிட்டது.

  • இந்தியாவில் காசநோயாளிகளின் எண்ணிக்கை கடந்த ஆண்டில் குறைந்துள்ளது என உலக சுகாதார நிறுவனம் (WHO)அறிக்கையில் தெரிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. எனினும், உலக அளவில் இந்தியா 8-ஆம் இடத்தில் உள்ளது. 2017-இல் 1லட்சம் பேரில் 204 பேர் காசநோயால் பாதிக்கப்பட்ட நிலையில், 2018-இல் இந்த எண்ணிக்கை 199-ஆக குறைந்துள்ளது.

  • ஐக்கிய அரபு அமீரகத்தில் நடைபெற்ற ஆசிய ஜூனியர் குத்துச்சண்டை சாம்பியன்ஷிப்பில் 6 தங்கம், 9 வெள்ளியுடன் இந்தியா 21 பதக்கங்கள் வென்றது.
    • 26 நாடுகள் பங்கேற்ற இந்தப் போட்டியில் அதிக தங்கம் (8) வென்ற அடிப்படையில் உஸ்பெகிஸ்தான் முதலிடத்தில் உள்ளது.

NATIONAL NEWS

  • Karnataka has topped the first-ever innovation ranking of states, followed by Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra . The report was released by Niti Aayog Vice Chairman Rajiv Kumar and Chief Executive Officer Amitabh Kant.

  • Indian Air Force (IAF) kick started its bilateral joint exercise with Royal Air Force Oman (RAFO), named ‘EX EASTERN BRIDGE-V’ at Air Force Base Masirah. The IAF contingent comprises of Mig 29 UPG (upgrade) combat aircraft along with C-17 Globemaster transport aircraft.
    • Last time, the bilateral exercise was held in 2017 at Jamnagar.

 

 

  • The Andhra Pradesh Government has launched a scheme called ‘YSR Navodayam’. The scheme aims to bail out micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the State and provide them financial relief by restructuring their bank loans before March 31, 2020.
    • Under the scheme, about 80,0000 MSMEs in the State would be benefited as their bank loans, that are subject to a ceiling of Rs 25 crores, would be restructured.

 

 

INTERNATIONAL NEWS

  • The Hurun Research Institute has released the inaugural Hurun Global Unicorn List 2019. This is the first year of the list and follows from the sixth quarterly Hurun China Unicorn Index.
    • China ranked at the top spot by 206 companies followed by the US with 203.

SCIENCE AND TECH UPDATES

  • An IIT Kharagpur graduate Debayan Saha, invented a device called “PM 2.5” which he claimed when fitted near the silencer pipe in vehicles will curb air pollution. One car fitted with the device can neutralise the pollution emitted from 10 cars in its vicinity.
    • “The technology developed by us uses a combination of electric energy and wave energy to influence the pollutants like PM 2.5 such that they act like magnet attracting other particulate pollutants from the ambient atmosphere to get attached to it.
