தமிழக நிகழ்வுகள்

 

  • தமிழகத்தின் நான்காவது காவல் ஆணையத்தின் தலைவராக ஷீலா ப்ரியா நியமனம்.
    • காவலர்களின் குறைகளைப் போக்கவும், காவல் துறையில் சீர்திருத்தங்களை கொண்டு வரவும் காவல் ஆணையம் அமைக்கப்படும்.
    • இதற்கு முன்னர் 1969, 1989, 2006-ஆம் ஆண்டுகளில் காவல் துறை ஆணையங்கள் அமைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளன.
    • காவல் ஆணையத்திற்கு தலைவராக நியமிக்கப்பட்டுள்ள முதல் பெண் ஷீலா ப்ரியா என்பது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.

 

 

தேசிய நிகழ்வுகள்

 

  • நாட்டிலேயே முதல் முறையாக தனியார் கல்வி துறையில் பணியாற்றும் பெண்களுக்கு 26 வாரம் மகப்பேறு கால விடுமுறை அளித்துள்ளது கேரள அரசு.
    • மத்திய அரசின் மகப்பேறு காலப் பலன்கள் சட்டத்தின் படி, அரசு துறையில் பணியாற்றும் பெண்களுக்கு 26 வாரம் மகப்பேறு கால விடுமுறை ஊதியத்துடன் வழங்கப்படுகிறது.
    • மகப்பேறு காலப் பலன்கள் சட்டத்தை, தனியார் கல்வி துறை பணியாளர்களுக்கு நீட்டிக்கும் முதல் மாநிலம் கேரளம் ஆகும்.

 

 

  • 62 ஆண்டுகள் பாரம்பரியத்தைக் கொண்ட ஜம்மு – காஷ்மீர் சட்ட மேலவையை அம்மாநில நிர்வாகம் ரத்து செய்தது.
    • கடந்த 1957 ஆம் ஆண்டு மத்திய பாராளுமன்றம் ஜம்மு – காஷ்மீர் சட்ட மேலவைக்கு ஒப்புதல் அளித்துள்ளது.
    • ஜம்மு – காஷ்மீர் சட்ட மேலவை 36 உறுப்பினர்களை கொண்டிருந்தது.

    • ஜோகதி மஞ்சம்மா, கர்நாடக ஜனபதா நிறுவனத்தின் தலைவராக நியமிக்கப்பட்ட முதல் திருநங்கை ஆவர்.
    • கன்னட நாட்டுப்புறவியலின் பாதுகாப்பு, கலைஞர்களின் நலம் ஆகியவற்றிற்காக கர்நாடக ஜனபதா நிறுவனம் செயல்படுகிறது.

NATIONAL NEWS

  • India will gift 75,000 metric tonnes of wheat to Afghanistan in November as announced by Ambassador Vinay Kumar. The Indian envoy made these announcements while speaking at the 37th anniversary of the Afghan Red Crescent Society’s (ARCS) Special Week.
    • The Indian government has supplied 1.1 million tonnes of wheat for the people of Afghanistan on a grant basis.

  • The Chenani-Nashri tunnel, the longest tunnel in Jammu and Kashmir, will be renamed after Bharatiya Jana Sangh founder Shyama Prasad Mukherjee.

  • President Ram Nath Kovind will be on a two-nation visit to the Philippines and Japan from October 17th to 23rd October. President is visiting Japan to attend the enthronement ceremony of the Emperor of Japan Naruhito.
    • The President will be in the Philippines from October 17th to 21st and in Japan from October 21st to 23rd.

  • The second edition of Indo-French Knowledge Summit is being held from17-18 October 2019 at University of Lyon in France. The summit is dedicated to higher education, research and innovation.
