மூன்று மாவட்டங்களில், நிரந்தர வெள்ள தடுப்பு பணிகளை மேற்கொள்ள, 244 கோடி ரூபாயை அரசு ஒதுக்கீடு செய்துள்ளது. வட கிழக்கு பருவ மழையால் திருவள்ளுர், காஞ்சிபுரம், கடலூர் மாவட்டங்களில் அதிகளவில் சேதம் ஏற்படுகிறது. இம்மாவட்டங்களில் 1,000 கோடி ரூபாய் செலவில் நிரந்தர வெள்ள தடுப்பு பணிகளை மேற்கொள்ள அரசு முடிவெடுத்து உள்ளது.
அதன்படி, ஏற்கனவே 100 கோடி ரூபாய் செலவில் பணிகள் மேற்கொள்ளப்பட்டன. தற்போது இரண்டாம் கட்டமாக இப்பணிகளுக்கு 244 கோடி ரூபாயை அரசு ஒதுக்கீடு செய்துள்ளது.

ஆசியாவின் விக்டோரியா மாகாணத்தில், எஸ்.பி.ஐ. எனப்படும் பாரத ஸ்டேட் வங்கியின் கிளை திறக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. ஆஸ்திரேலியாவில் கிளை திறக்கும் முதல் இந்திய வங்கியாக எஸ்.பி.ஐ. விளங்குகிறது.
யுனெஸ்கோ (ஐக்கிய நாடுகளின் கல்வி, அறிவியல் மற்றும் கலாச்சார அமைப்பு) மற்றும் நாட்டின் பொது சேவை ஒளிபரப்பாளரான தூர்தர்ஷன், தொலைக்காட்சி இருமொழி நிகழ்ச்சியான ‘மகாத்மா லைவ்ஸ்’ அல்லது ‘பாபு ஜிந்தா ஹை’ 2019 அக்டோபர் 1-2 அன்று ஒளிபரப்ப கைகோர்ந்துள்ளது.

காந்தி ஜெயந்தி அக்டோபர் 2 ஆம் தேதி கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது. மகாத்மா காந்தி என்று பிரபலமாக அழைக்கப்படும் தேசத்தின் தந்தை மோகன்தாஸ் கரம்சந்த் காந்தியின் 150 வது பிறந்தநாளை முன்னிட்டு இந்த நாள் கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது.

The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare organized first National Nutrition Survey. The ministry took help from UNICEF to complete the survey. The survey was conducted between 2016 and 2018.
