இந்திய நிகழ்வுகள் 

 

• மத்திய மனித வள மேம்பாட்டு அமைச்சகத்தின் புத்தாக்கப் பிரிவின் புத்தாக்க நிறுவன ஆணையமானது புதுடெல்லியில் தொடங்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. இது நாடெங்கிலும் உள்ள அனைத்து உயர்கல்வி நிலையங்களிலும் புத்தாக்க (Innovative) கலாச்சாரத்தை முறையாக வளர்ப்பதற்காக அகில இந்திய தொழில்நுட்பக் கல்விக் குழுவில் இந்த ஆணையம் ஏற்படுத்தப்பட்டுள்ளது. (AICTE – All India Council for Technical Education).

 

 

• பருவநிலை மாற்றத்தை எதிர் கொள்வதற்கான பாரீஸ் ஒப்பந்தத்தை திறம்பட செயல்படுத்துவதற்கு வளரும் நாடுகளுக்கு வளர்ச்சி அடைந்த நாடுகள் ஆதரவு அளிப்பதை வலியுறுத்துவதற்கான, பருவநிலை மாற்றம் மீதான பேசிக் (BASIC) நாடுகளின் அமைச்சர்களுக்கிடையேயான 27வது சந்திப்பு புது டெல்லியில் நடைபெற்றது.
  • 2019ம் ஆண்டிற்கான பேசிக் நாடுகளின் அமைச்சர்களுக்கிடையேயான சந்திப்பை பிரேசில் நடத்தவுள்ளது.
• குறிப்பு:
  • பேசிக் நாடுகளானது (BASIC Country) – பிரேசில், தென் ஆப்பிரிக்கா, இந்தியா மற்றும் சீனா ஆகிய 4 பெரிய புதிதாக தொழில்மயமான நாடுகளின் கூட்டணி ஆகும்.
  • இது 2009 ஆம் ஆண்டு நவம்பரில் மேற்கொள்ளப்பட்ட ஒப்பந்தம் மூலம் உருவாக்கப்பட்டது.

 

 

உலக நிகழ்வுகள் 

 

• ஐக்கிய நாடுகள் சுற்றுச்சூழல் திட்டத்தின் (UNEP – United Nations Environment Programme) நிர்வாக இயக்குநராக இருந்த எரிக் சொல்ஹெய்ம் பதவி விலகியதையடுத்து, UNEP – ன் தற்காலிக இயக்குநராக தான்சானியா நாட்டைச் சேர்ந்த “ஜாய்சி முசியா” நியமிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளார்.
  • உள் தணிக்கை அறிக்கையின் படி, UNEP ல் இவர் விதிமுறையை மீறியுள்ளது குறித்து எழுந்த குற்றச்சாட்டை அடுத்து சொல்ஹெய்ம் பதவி விலகியுள்ளார்.

 

 

• மொராக்கோ நாடானது தனது “முகமது – VI – B” என பெயரிடப்பட்டுள்ள இரண்டாவது புவி கண்காணிப்பு செயற்கைக்கோளை வெற்றிகரமாக செலுத்தியுள்ளது. இந்த செயற்கைகோளானது, தென் அமெரிக்காவின் பிரெஞ்சு கயானாவில் உள்ள கயானா விண்வெளி மையத்தின் ஏவுதளத்திலிருந்து “ஏரியன் ஸ்பேஸ் வேகா” ராக்கெட் மூலம் செலுத்தப்பட்டது.
• குறிப்பு:
  • நவம்பர் 2017ல் வேகா இராக்கெட் மூலம் செலுத்தப்பட்ட மொராக்காவின் முதல் செயற்கைகோள் – “முகமது – 6A” என்பதாகும்.

 

 

 விளையாட்டு நிகழ்வுகள்

 

• புகழ்பெற்ற முதல் தர கிரிக்கெட் வீரரான வாசிம் ஜாபர், ரஞ்சி கோப்பை கிரிக்கெட் போட்டியில் 11,000 ரன்களை கடந்த முதலாவது இந்திய வீரராக உருவெடுத்துள்ளார். இவர் நாக்பூர் நகரில் பரோடோ அணிக்கு எதிரான ஆட்டத்தில் இச்சாதனையை நிகழ்த்தினார்.

 

 

அறிவியல் மற்றும் தொழில்நுட்பம்

 

• பாலில் கலப்படம் இருந்தால் ஸ்மார்ட்போன் மூலமாகவே கண்டுபிடிக்கும் வசதியை ஹைதராபாத் ஐஐடி மாணவர்கள் கண்டுபிடித்துள்ளனர். ஹாலோ குரோமட்டிக் என்று அழைக்கப்படும் நானோ அளவிலான இண்டிகேட்டர் காகிதத்தில் பொருத்தி சென்சார் செய்யும் வகையில் உருவாக்கியுள்ளனர்.
  • இதன்மூலம், அந்த காகிதத்தில் ஏற்படும் நிறமாற்றத்தைக் கொண்டு, அதன் PH மதிப்பை எளிதில் காணமுடியும்.

 

 

• சீனாவானது சூரியனின் மையப்பகுதியின் வெப்பநிலையான 15 மில்லியன் டிகிரி செல்சியஸ்-ஐ விட ஆறு மடங்கு அதிகமான அளவில் 100 மில்லியன் டிகிரி செல்சியஸ் வெப்பநிலையை எட்டக்கூடிய செயற்கை சூரியனை உருவாக்கியுள்ளது.
  • சீனாவின் பிளாஸ்மா இயற்பியல் கல்வி நிறுவனத்தின் அறிவியலாளர்கள் இந்த செயற்கை சூரியனை கண்டறிந்துள்ளனர். இது பூமியில் அணுக்கரு இணைவு செய்யத் தேவையான வெப்பநிலையாகும்.

 

 

நியமனங்கள்

 

• சென்னை உயர்நீதிமன்றத்தின் 61வது நீதிபதியாக வினீத் கோத்தாரி நியமிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளார். அவருக்கு தலைமை நீதிபதி விஜய தஹில் ரமணி பதவிப் பிரமாணம் செய்து வைத்துள்ளார்.

  • சமீபத்தில் 60வது நீதிபதியாக நியமிக்கப்பட்டவர் – பி.புகழேந்தி

 

 

 விருதுகள்

 

• ஐக்கிய நாடுகள் சுற்றுச்சூழல் திட்டம் (UNEP) – 2018 ஆம் ஆண்டின் ஆசிய சுற்றுச்சூழல் அமலாக்க விருதிற்காக வனவிலங்கு குற்றத் தடுப்பு கழகம் (WCCB – Wildlife Crime Control Bureau) மற்றும் அதன் அமலாக்கத் துறை தலைவர் R.S. ஷரத்தை தேர்ந்தெடுத்தது.
  • எல்லை கடந்த சுற்றுச்சூழல் குற்றங்களுக்கு எதிராக போராடுவதில் அவர்களின் சிறந்த பங்களிப்பிற்காக முறையே அமைப்பு மற்றும் தனிநபர் என்ற பிரிவுகளில் அவர்கள் தேர்ந்தெடுக்கப்பட்டுள்ளனர்.

NATIONAL NEWS

• The 27th BASIC Ministerial Meeting on Climate Changewas held in New Delhi, India. The meeting was chaired by H.E. Dr Harsh Vardhan, Minister of Environment, Forest and Climate Change of India. The meeting has urged the advanced countries to enhance their support to the developing nations in effectively implementing the Paris Agreement to combat climate change. 
  • Brazil to host the28th BASIC Ministerial Meeting in the first half of 2019.The BASIC countries (also Basic countries or BASIC) are a bloc of four large newly industrialized countries – Brazil, South Africa, India and China – formed by an agreement on 28 November 2009.

 

• Tripurawill host three-day 7th International Tourism Mart from November 22 at Agartala with tour operator delegates from 18 countries participating in an effort to popularise tourist destinations in the northeastern states.
  • Union Minister of State for Tourism K J Alphonswill inaugurate the 7th International Tourism Mart on October 22 at Prajna Bhavan in Tripura. The event will include cultural festivals and discussions on the theme for this year is ‘Adventure Tourism’.

 

• President Ram Nath Kovindand Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh will lay the foundation stone for the Kartarpur Corridor at Dera Baba Nanak, Gurdaspur on November 26. The decision to build the corridor from Dera Baba Nanak to the International Border was taken by the Union Cabinet.
  • Pakistan’s Foreign Minister, Shah Mahmood Qureshi, had announced that Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khanwould be breaking ground for the Kartarpur corridor on November 28.

 

• Andhra Pradeshhas topped the list of states with the highest employability followed by Rajasthan and Haryana, as per the India Skills Report 2019 conducted jointly by Wheebox, PeopleStrong, Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). Further, the report stated that Andhra Pradesh is one of the preferred hiring destinations in India, which offers equal space to both male and female workers.
  • The India Skills Report 2019further held that around 70 per cent of the youth face problem due to lack of professional guidance in finding desirable jobs that worth their skills.

 

• The Gujarat government launched Rs 351 Croreproject for the conservation of the Asiatic lions, after the Canine Distemper Virus (CDV) outbreak, in the next five  The project also includes an emergency ambulance van akin to the 108 emergency service.
  • It also includes a ‘state of the art’ veterinary hospital to be built at Rs 50 crore in Sasan Gir region.

 

INTERNATIONAL NEWS

• The Embassy of Indiain Nepal and Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) organized a 3-day exhibition of construction equipment and technology-ConMac 2018 in Bhaktapur near Kathmandu, Nepal. It was inaugurated by Nepal’s Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport Raghubir Mahaseth.
  • Ambassador of India to Nepal Manjeev Singh Puri will be the Guest of Honour. The exhibition aims to further enhance high level engagement between construction industries of the two countries.

 

SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY

• Researchers at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), USA have created the first ever ‘Ion Drive’ plane with no moving part by adapting a technology that is previously used in Spacecraft. Due to absence of moving parts, the plane will not produce any harmful exhaust. The Maintenance cost will also reduce and the plane will not create any noise.
  • The research will pave the way for the possibility of silent drones in the near future. The research can be the first step towards the revolution of aviation industry.

 

• An International team of scientists has discovered a massive star system in the Milky Way Galaxy that challenges the existing theories related to the death of big stars.
  • The star system described in the Journal “Nature”is around 8000 light years away from earth and adorned with a dust “pinwheel” strangely moving with a slower speed.

 

APPOINTMENT

• Popular singer Nahid Afrin of Assamhas been appointed as the first ‘Youth Advocate’ of the north eastern region by the UNICEF to fight for child rights. The UNICEF engages ‘Youth Advocates’ to harness their voice as agents of change in society.
  • Nahid made her playback debut in the 2016 Bollywood film ‘Akira’ starring Sonakshi Sinha in the lead. She received the best female playback singer award at the Assam state Film Award 2018.

 

• The Committee of Administrators (CoA) appointed three-member probe panel cleared Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) CEO Rahul Johri of allegations of sexual harassment, dismissing the charges levelled by two women as “mischievous and fabricated” and allowed him to resume duties.

 

AWARDS

• Azim Premji, chairman of Wipro, has wonForbes India Leadership Awards 2018, Lifetime Achievement. Wipro is India’s fourth-biggest software services company by revenue and Ajim Premji is the second richest Indian. The Forbes India Leadership Awards, India’s most prestigious honour for the top executives, was held in Mumbai.
  • Forbes India honoured entrepreneurs and company bosses across nine categories, with an emphasis on excellence, innovation, and transformational leadership.

 

SPORTS

• Veteran first-class cricketer Wasim Jafferbecame the first Indian batsman to touch the 11,000-run figure in the Ranji Trophy. The Vidharbha batsman achieved the milestone during the third-round match against Baroda in Nagpur at the Vidarbha Cricket Association (VCA) Stadium, Nagpur, Maharashtra. 
  • The cricketer, who had made his first-class debut in 1996-97, emerged as one of the legends of the Indian domestic cricket. The former opener had made his international Test debut against South Africain April 2008.
