தமிழக நிகழ்வுகள்

 

• இந்தியாவின் முதல் திறந்தவெளி நூலகமான “லிட்டில் ஃப்ரீ லைப்ரரியை” தமிழகத்தின் திருச்சி மாநகராட்சியானது புத்தூர் அலுவலக குடியிருப்பில் தொடங்க உள்ளது.
  • இது வாசிப்பு பழக்கத்தை வளர்க்கவும் உள்ளுர் மக்களிடையே புத்தகங்களை பரிமாறிக் கொள்ளவும் எடுக்கப்பட்ட முயற்சியாகும்.

 

 

இந்திய நிகழ்வுகள் 

 

• புது டெல்லியிலுள்ள இந்திரா காந்தி சர்வதேச விமான நிலையத்தில் (IGI – Indira Gandhi International) சுற்றுலா எளிதாக்கல் மற்றும் தகவல் மையத்தை (Tourist Facilitation and Information Counter) மத்திய சுற்றுலாத் துறை அமைச்சகம் தொடங்கியுள்ளது.
  • இந்த மையமானது ஆங்கிலமில்லாத மொழி பேசும் சுற்றுலாப் பயணிகளுக்கு உதவ சுற்றுலா அமைச்சகத்தின் 24 × 7 மணி நேர உதவி எண்ணான 1363 என்ற எண்ணை வழங்கியுள்ளது.

 

 

• இந்தியா – மொஸாம்பிக் ஆகிய நாடுகளுக்கிடையேயான சர்வதேச ஒத்துழைப்பு உடன்படிக்கையின் ஒரு பகுதியாக, மொஸாம்பிக் கடற்படை அதிகாரிகள் மற்றும் பணியாளர்களுக்கு இந்தியாவின் மிக பல்திறன் கொண்ட, உள்நாட்டிலேயே தயாரிக்கப்பட்ட இடைமறிப்பு படகுகள் கொண்டு இந்தியாவின் சார்பில் சிறப்பு பயிற்சியானது சென்னையில் வழங்கப்பட்டது.
• குறிப்பு:
  • இந்திய அரசானது மொசாம்பிக் கடற்படைக்கு 2 இடைமறிப்பு படகுகளை நன்கொடையாக வழங்கி உள்ளது.

 

 

• அமெரிக்காவை அடிப்படையாகக் கொண்ட நிறுவனமான தேசிய பொருளாதார ஆய்வு அமைப்பினால் (National Bureau of Economic Research – NBER) வெளியிடப்பட்ட சமீபத்திய ஆய்வின் படி, புனே நகரமானது இந்தியாவின் 7-வது நெருக்கடியான நகரமாக உள்ளது.
  • இந்த ஆய்வின் படி, மிக நெருக்கடியான நகரமாக பெங்களுரு உள்ளது. 2-வது இடத்தில் மும்பை உள்ளது. சென்னையானது இப்பட்டியலில் 4-வது இடத்தில் உள்ளது.

 

 

உலக நிகழ்வுகள் 

 

• சர்வதேச பெண் விமானிகள் சங்கம் (ISA + 21 – International Society of Woman Airline Pilots) வெளியிட்டுள்ள சமீபத்திய அறிக்கையின் படி உலகின் அதிக அளவிலான பெண் விமானிகளின் சதவிகிதத்தை இந்தியா கொண்டுள்ளது. மேலும் இந்தியாவின் பெண் விமானிகளின் சதவிகிதமானது உலக சராசரியை விட இருமடங்கு அதிகமாகும்.
• குறிப்பு:
  • உலக பெண் விமானிகளின் சதவிகிதம் – 5.4% ஆகும்.
  • இந்தியாவின் தற்போதைய பெண் விமானிகளின் சதவிகிதம் – 12.4% ஆகும்.

 

 

• கிழக்கு ஆசிய நாடுகளின் 13-வது உச்சி மாநாடு (Thirteenth East Asia Summit – 2018)இ சிங்கப்பூரில் நவம்பர் 14 முதல் 15 வரை நடைபெற்றது. இம் மாநாட்டில் ஆசியாவின் கிழக்கில் உள்ள நாடுகளுக்கிடையேயான பொருளாதார மேம்பாடு ஒத்துழைப்பு மற்றும் பயங்கரவாத எதிர்ப்பு குறித்து விவாதிக்கப்பட்டது.
• குறிப்பு:
  • பன்னிரண்டாவது கிழக்கு ஆசியா உச்சி மாநாடு, பிலிப்பைன்ஸ் நாட்டின் பாசே நகரில் நடைபெற்றது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.

 

 

விளையாட்டு நிகழ்வுகள்

 

• ஸ்பெயினில் நடைபெற்ற உலக கேடட் செஸ் தொடரில் 12 வயதுக்குட்பட்ட ஆண்களுக்கான பிரிவில் இந்தியாவின் குகேஷ் 10 புள்ளிகளுடன் தங்கப் பதக்கம் வென்றுள்ளார்.
  • சுமார் 86 நாடுகள் பங்கேற்ற இப்போட்டியில் இந்தியா 2 தங்கங்களுடன் இரண்டாவது இடம் பிடித்துள்ளது. சீனாவானது முதலிடம் (2 தங்கம், 1 வெண்கலம்) பிடித்துள்ளது.

 

 

அறிவியல் & தொழில்நுட்பம் 

 

• காவல்துறை பணியாளர்களுக்கு பணி சம்பந்தப்பட்ட அன்லைன் பயிற்சிகள் மற்றும் தகவல்களை வழங்குவதற்காக டெல்லி காவல் துறையானது “நிபுண்” (NIPUN) என்ற மின்னணு கற்றல் தளத்தை தொடங்கியுள்ளது.
  • இந்த ஆன்லைன் கற்றல் தளமானது, கூட்டுமுயற்சி கற்றல் மற்றும் கூட்டுப் பங்காண்மைத் திட்டத்தின் (The Collaborative Learning and Partnership – CLAP) கீழ் பல்கலைக்கழக மானியக் குழு (UGC), FICCI, தேசிய மனித உரிமைகள் ஆணையம், தேசிய குழந்தைகள் பாதுகாப்பு ஆணையம் ஆகியவை இணைந்து வடிவமைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

 

 

நியமனங்கள்

 

• சென்னை உயர்நீதிமன்றத்தின் புதிய நீதிபதியாக பி.புகழேந்தி என்பவiரை மத்திய சட்ட அமைச்சகம் நியமித்துள்ளது. தற்போது சென்னை உயர்நீதிமன்றத்தின் நீதிபதிகளின் எண்ணிக்கை 60-ஆக உயர்ந்துள்ளது.
  • இவர் சென்னை உயர்நீதிமன்றத்தின் மதுரை கிளையில் தமிழக அரசின் கூடுதல் அட்வகேட் ஜெனரலாக பணியாற்றி வருகிறார்.
• குறிப்பு:
  • சென்னை உயர்நீதிமன்றம் ஏற்படுத்தப்பட்ட ஆண்டு – 15 ஆகஸ்ட் 1862

NATIONAL NEWS

• On the concluding day of five day long Make in Odisha Concalve, Odisha Science and Technology Minister Badrinarayan Patra announced the robust Biotechnology Policy 2018to enable the state to become one of the top biotech innovation and investment destination in the country.
  • The policy was formulated with a motion to provide fiscal and non fiscal incentives, support for product development by biotech start ups and MSMEs, streamline rules, regulations and legislation to create an innovation friendly environment, create a vibrant bio-entrepreneurial culture in academia and research institutions.

 

• Women and Child Development (WCD) Ministry has approved setting up of 1023 Fast Track Special Courts to dispose off pending cases of rape and POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) Actthroughout India.
  • Law and Justice Ministry had sent a proposal regarding this to WCD Ministry. The Empowered Committee of officers for the Nirbhaya Fund headed by Women and Child Development secretary Rakesh Srivastava approved the proposal.

 

• The 2-day 9thSession of the India-Kyrgyz Inter-Governmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technological Cooperation (IK-IGC) concluded in New Delhi. It started on November 15, 2018. Kyrgyz proposed the creation of joint food and food processing ventures for agriculture and meat product for export to the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) markets.
  • Both the parties decided to hold the 10^th meeting of the Kyrgyz-Indian inter-governmental Commission on Trade-Economic and Scientific-Technical Cooperation in Bishkek, Kyrgyz Republic.

 

• The 9th Annual Defence and Security Dialogue between India and China held in Beijing. It was held between the two defence delegations headed by defence secretary Sanjay Mitra and China’s deputy chief of Joint Staff Department of the Central Military Commission.
  • The 9th Annual Defence and Security Dialogue was held after one-year gap due to Doklam standoff.

 

• The Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP), Ministry of Commerce and Industry hosts, 2 days conference of Global Digital Content Market 2018 (GDCM 2018) in New Delhi.
  • It was the 2^ndedition of the conference, 1^st edition was held in Geneva in 2016. India has been chosen as the host nation for GDCM 2018 by World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).

 

• The Asian Development Bank (ADB)and the Government of India signed a $300 million Loan Agreement to support lending by India Infrastructure Finance Company Limited (IIFCL) in New Delhi. The last-tranche funding would help at least 13 sub-projects involving roads and renewable power generation through IIFCL project.
  • Further, this loan would help prepare for the financial closing of $2.4 billionin investments.

 

INTERNATIONAL NEWS

• French President Emmanuel Macron and Morocco’s King Mohammed VI have inaugurated Morocco’s first high-speed rail line,the first ever such line in Known as the LGV, it will connect the economic hubs of Tangier and Casablanca in 2 hours 10 minutes at a speed of up to 320 kph (199 mph) instead of almost 5 hours on a regular train.

 

APPOINTMENT

• Stephen Barclay, Junior Health Minister who voted to leave European Union in the 2016 referendum has been appointed as the new Brexit Secretary by British Prime Minister Theresa May. Barclay will focus on domestic readiness for Brexit.Earliers he served as a financial services minister.

 

SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY

• Chinahas built an ‘artificial sun’ that reaches 100 million °C, 6 times the temperature of Sun’s core of 15 million °C. Scientists from China’s Institute of Plasma Physics announced that plasma in their Experimental Advanced Superconducting Tokamak (EAST) also called the “artificial sun”, reached 100 million °C, the temperature required to perform nuclear fusion on Earth.
  • The record temperature was achieved through various new techniques in heating and controlling the plasma. But they were able to maintain the state for only about 10 seconds.

 

AWARDS

• Late  Martha Farrellhas been honoured with the “Lifetime Achievement Award” at the 6th Indian Social Work Congress in New Delhi. Dr. Farrell was recognized for her lifelong work towards gender equality, women’s empowerment and prevention of sexual harassment at workplace.
  • She was among 14 people killed in a terrorist attack on a guest house in Kabul, Afghanistan on May 13, 2015. Suheil Tandon,Martha’s son along with the team of Martha Farrell Foundation received the award.

 

SPORTS

• Former Australia all-rounder John Hastingshas retired from all cricket, citing the risks posed by a bleeding lung condition. Hastings played one Test, 29 ODIs and nine Twenty20 internationals for Australia before retiring from Tests and ODIs a year ago to become a T20 specialist.

  • November17th is annually seen as the International Students’ Day all over the world.  It is seen an international observance of student activism as the date commemorates the anniversary of the 1939 Nazi storming of the University of Prague. The day was first marked in 1941 in London by the International Students’ Council.
