• சபரிமலை கோயிலில் வழிபட பெண்களுக்கு அனுமதி அளித்து கடந்த ஆண்டு செப்டம்பர் மாதம் 28-ஆம் தேதி உச்சநீதி மன்றம் தீர்ப்பளித்தது.
  • இதனை மறு ஆய்வு செய்ய கூறி அளித்த மனுக்கள் மீதான விசாரணையை தலைமை நீதிபதி ரஞ்சன் கோகோய் தலைமையில் 5 நீதிபதி கொண்ட அமர்வு விசாரித்து வந்தது. அதனை அடுத்து நீதிபதிகள் ரஞ்சன் கோகோய், ஏ.எம். கான்வில்கர் (A) இந்து மல்ஹோத்ரா ஆகியோ 7 பேர் கொண்ட அமர்வுக்கு மாற்ற தீர்பளித்தனர்.

• தேசிய சுற்றுச்சூழல் பொறியியல் ஆராய்ச்சி நிறுவனமானது (National Environmental Engineering Research Institute – NEERI)) அறிவியல் (ம) தொழிற்துறை ஆராய்ச்சி மன்றத்துடன் Council of Scientific & Industrial Research – CSIR) , இணைந்து கடந்த 60 ஆண்டுகளில் மேற்கொள்ளப்பட்ட காற்றின் தர ஆய்வுகளை கொண்ட முதலாவது வலை களஞ்சியமான “IndAIR”–ஐ அறிமுகப்படுத்தியுள்ளது.

    • 1905 ஆம் ஆண்டிலிருந்து இயற்றப்பட்ட நாட்டின் அனைத்து முக்கியமான சட்டங்களும் இதில் அடங்கும்.

• ‘விளையாட்டு தொடர்பான குற்றங்களைத் தடுப்பது’ (‘Prevention of Offences Related to Sports’) தொடர்பான மசோதாவை அதன் நாடாளுமன்றம் நிறைவேற்றியதால், போட்டிகளை நிர்ணயிக்கும் வழக்குகளை குற்ற வகைக்கு கொண்டு வந்த முதல் தெற்காசிய நாடாக இலங்கை திகழ்கிறது. மேட்ச் பிக்ஸிங் மற்றும் ஊழல் தொடர்பான இந்த புதிய சட்டம் அனைத்து விளையாட்டுகளுக்கும் பொருந்தும் ரூ ஒரு நபர் விளையாட்டில் ஊழல் குற்றவாளி என நிரூபிக்கப்பட்டால், அவருக்கு 10 ஆண்டுகள் வரை தண்டனை வழங்கப்படலாம், மேலும் பிற அபராதங்களையும் செலுத்த வேண்டும்.

• சந்திராயன்-3 விண்கலத்தை 2020-ஆம் ஆண்டு விண்ணில் ஏவ இந்திய விண்வெளி ஆய்வு மையம் (ISRO) திட்டமிட்டுள்ளது.

    • ஜூலை 22 விண்ணில் செலுத்தப்பட்ட சந்திராயன்-2 விண்கலம், ஆர்பிட்டர், விக்ரம் லேண்டர் (4) பிரக்யான் ரோவர் ஆகியவற்றை கொண்டதாகும்.
    • சந்திராயன்-3 இல் லேண்டர் (4) ரோவர் ஆகிய இரு அமைப்புகளை மட்டும் கொண்டிருக்கும் என்று அறிவித்துள்ளனர்.

• 2020 டோக்கியோ பாரா ஒலிம்பிக் போட்டிக்கு தகுதி பெற்றுள்ளார் இந்தியாவின் நிஷாத் குமார்.

    • துபாயில் நடைபெற்று வரும் உலக பாரா தடகள சாம்பியன்ஷிப் போட்டியில் உயரம் தாண்டுதல் டி47 இல் வெண்கல பதக்கம் வென்றார் என்பது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.

• On 14 November, Assam State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (ASCPCR) is coming up with a mobile application, named ‘Sishu Suraksha’. The app will be launched on the occasion of Children’s day .
  • The purpose of the app is to empower citizens to take moral responsibility of protecting children and complaints against child rights violations.

• Uttar Pradesh government has launched a dedicated web portal and a mobile application, e-Ganna App, for sugarcane farmers of the state. Cane supply slip will now be issued to the farmers by sugar mills online.
  • The portal and the App will ensure transparency in the process of getting slips, and facilitate sugarcane supply by farmers to mills and check irregularities.

• Ministry of AYUSH is organizing the International Conference on Yoga on 15-16 November 2019 at Mysuru, Karnataka. The Chief Minister of Karnataka Shri B.S. Yediyurappa will inaugurate the two-day conference on 15th November 2019 in the presence of Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for AYUSH and Defence, Shri Shripad Yesso Naik.

• India has received the first prize at BRICS Young Scientist forum’s conclave in Brazil. The fourth conclave was held in Brazil from 6- 8 November.
  • Ravi Prakash, who is a PhD scholar from Indian Council of Agricultural Research-National Dairy Research Institute, has bagged the first position for inventing an affordable indigenously designed milk chilling unit for small to marginal rural dairy farmers.
