• இந்தியக் கடற்படையின் அணுசக்தி, உயிரியல் மற்றும் வேதியியல் பொருள்களுக்கு எதிரான பாதுகாப்பு வசதியானது (NBCTF – Nuclear, Biological and Chemical Training Facility) லோனவாலாவில் உள்ள “ஐஎன்எஸ் சிவாஜி”யில் திறந்து வைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
  • இதற்கு அபிஹிதயா என சமஸ்கிருதத்தில் பெயரிடப்பட்டுள்ளது. அதன் பொருள் “ஊடுருவ இயலாத” என்பதாகும்.

 

 

உலக நிகழ்வுகள்

 

• மின் மற்றும் மின்னணு உபகரணங்கள் மற்றும் குளிர்சாதன வாயு மற்றும் சிறப்பு கழிகளை மறுசுழற்சி செய்வதற்கான உலகின் மிகப் பெரிய மின் கழிவு மறுசுழற்சி மையம் துபாயின் துபாய் தொழிற்துறை பூங்காவில் அமைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
  • இங்கு சுமார் 39,000 டன் மின் கழிவுகள் மறுசுழற்சி செய்யப்படுகிறது.

• தைபே (Taipei)-யில் நடைபெற்ற 12வது ஆசிய ஏர்கன் சாம்பியன் ஷிப் போட்டியில் 10 மீட்டர் ஏர்பிஸ்டல் கலப்பு இரட்டையர் பிரிவில் இந்தியாவின் மானுபாகர் மற்றும் சௌரப் சௌத்ரி இணை தங்கம் வென்றுள்ளது.

 

 

அறிவியல் & தொழில்நுட்பம்

 

• இந்தியாவின் நிலவைப் பற்றிய ஆராய்ச்சியின் திட்டமான சந்திராயன் – 2 திட்டம் அடுத்த மாதம் செலுத்தப்பட உள்ளது. இதில் பூமியில் இருந்து நிலவின் தூரத்தை துல்லியமாக அளவிடுவதற்கு உதவும் நாசாவின் லேசர் கருவியான “ரெட்ரோரிப்ளெக்டர்” கருவிகளைச் சுமந்து செல்லவுள்ளது.
  • ரெட்ரோரிப்ளெக்டர் என்பது பூமியிலிருந்து அனுப்பும் லேசர் ஒளி சமிக்ஞைகளை பெற்று திருப்பி அனுப்பும் அதிநவீன ஆடியாகும்.

• நமது நாட்டின் செயற்கைகோளை அழிக்கும் முயற்சியை தடுக்கும் வகையில் முழுவதும் இந்திய தொழில்நுட்பத்தினைப் பயன்படுத்தி விண்ணில் இருந்த செயற்கைகோளை இந்தியாவின் விண்கல ஆயுதமான “A-SAT” (Anti-Satellite) வெற்றிகரமாக தாக்கி அழித்துள்ளது.
  • இதற்கு “மிஷன் சக்தி” எனப் பெயரிடப்பட்டுள்ளது. அமெரிக்கா, ரஷ்யா, சீனாவிற்கு அடுத்ததாக இந்தியா இந்தச் சாதனையை நிகழ்த்தியுள்ளது.

 

 

 விருதுகள்

 

• குரோஷிய நாட்டின் உயரிய விருதான Grand order of the king of Tomislav என்ற விருதானது இந்தியக் குடியரசுத் தலைவர் ராம்நாத் கோவிந்த் அவர்களுக்கு வழங்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

 

 

பொருளாதார நிகழ்வுகள்

 

• 2020ம் ஆண்டில் இந்தியாவின் மொத்த உள்நாட்டு உற்பத்தியின் வளர்ச்சி 7 சதவீதத்திலிருந்து 6.8 சதவீதமாக குறையும் என பொருளாதார மதிப்பீட்டு நிறுவனமான பிட்ச் (Fitch) தெரிவித்துள்ளது.

• வங்கதேச விடுதலை நாள் – மார்ச் 26 (Independence day of Bangladesh)
  • வங்கதேச நாடானது, 1971ம் ஆண்டு மார்ச் 25ம் தேதியின் இரவில் பாகிஸ்தானிடமிருந்து விடுதலை அடைந்ததை நினைவுகூறும் வகையில் ஆண்டுதோறும் மார்ச் 26 அன்று வங்கதேச விடுதலை நாள் அனுசரிக்கப்படுகிறது.

NATIONAL NEWS

• The Indian Railways said that 100 summer special trains would be run to handle extra rush of passengers during this season. These special trains will be run from March 28.
  • A superfast weekly special train between Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus and Gorakhpur will make a total of 26 round trips between the two stations every Friday from April 12 to July 5.

 

• On 27th March 2019, Union Cabinet approved the creation of additional posts of three Judicial Members and three Technical Members in the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT).

 

• Vijayawada railway station, one of the busiest railway junctions in the country, has received Gold Rating by the Indian Green Building Council. Council Chairman Meka Vijaya Sai presented the gold rating shield to Divisional Railway Manager R Dhananjayulu.

 

INTERNATIONAL NEWS

• Bangladesh celebrated the 49th Independence Day amid tight security. The day was celebrated with parades and paying of respects at Jatiyo Smriti Soudho, national memorial at Savar, on the outskirts of Dhaka.
  • On March 26, Bangladesh commemorates the declaration of independence on late hours of March 25, 1971.

 

SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY

• On 27 March 2019, India has proved its capability of defending its outer space assets after Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has conducted a successful Anti-Satellite (ASAT) missile test “Mission Shakti” from the Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Island in Odisha. It took just 3 minute.

• Incense sticks have been an integral part of Indian lifestyle. Adoption of agarbathis beyond praying rituals has given a boost to the category not only in India but in international markets as well.
  • In the last financial year, agarbathi industry has witnessed a growth of 8-10% in the domestic market with Karnataka, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, West Bengal and UP driving the maximum consumer demand.

 

SPORTS

• In Shooting, Manu Bhaker and Saurabh Chaudhary have bagged a Gold medal in the 10-metre Air Pistol Mixed team event at the 12th Asian Airgun Championship at Taoyuan in Taipei.

 

• On 21st March 2019, IT company Infosys joined hands with Roland-Garros with a three-year partnership agreement to provide digital solution for French Open tennis tournament, also called Roland-Garros.

 

APPOINTMENTS

• Election Commission of India has appointed KK Sharma, retired DG BSF as Special Central Police Observer for West Bengal and Jharkhand. Sharma, a 1982 batch IPS official, would oversee the deployment and other security-related issues in both the states.
  • Election Commission also appointed Gopal Mukherjee as Special Expenditure Observer for Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, DD Goel for Arunachal Pradesh and Nagaland.

 

AWARDS

• President Ram Nath Kovind received Croatia’s highest civilian order, the Grand Order of the King of Tomislav, during his official visit to the nation. The civilian order is awarded to heads of state for their contribution towards the strengthening of ties between the European nation and their respective country.
  • Kovind, who is the first Indian President to visit Croatia, is currently on a three-country trip from March 25 to April 4.
