  • கன்னியாகுமரி ராமநாதபுரம், கடலூர் மீனவக் கிராமங்களில் மீன் இறங்குதளங்கள் அமைக்கப்படும் என்று மீன்வளத்துறை அமைச்சர் அறிவித்துள்ளார்.

• அனைத்துப் பிரிவுகளிலும் உள்ளுர் மக்களுக்கு (கன்னட மொழி பேசும்) வேலைவாய்ப்புகளில் 80% இடஒதுக்கீடு வழங்குமாறு கர்நாடக அரசு தனியார் நிறுவனங்களுக்கு அறிவுரை வழங்கியுள்ளது.
  • தனியார் துறையில் தொகுதி ‘சி’ மற்றும் தொகுதி ‘டி’ ஆகிய பணிகளில் உள்ளுர் மக்களுக்கு 100% ஒதுக்கீடு வழங்குவதற்காக 1961ஆம் ஆண்டு கர்நாடகத் தொழில்துறை வேலைவாய்ப்பு (நிலையான ஆணைகள்) விதிகளை அம்மாநில அரசு ஏற்கனவே திருத்தியுள்ளது.

• கொரோனா வைரஸ் பாதிப்பை எதிர்த்துச் சமாளிப்பதற்கு ஒரு உத்தியை வகுப்பதற்காக சார்க் அமைப்பின் தலைவர்கள் காணொளி மாநாடு ஒன்றில் பங்கேற்றனர்
  • இந்த மாநாட்டில் இந்தியாவின் சார்பாக பிரதமர் மோடி கலந்து கொண்டார்.
  • இந்த மாநாட்டில் கோவிட் -19 பாதிப்பிற்கான அவசரகால நிதியை உருவாக்க இந்தியா முன்மொழிந்துள்ளது.
  • மேலும் இந்த வைரஸ் நோய்க் கடத்திகளைச் சிறப்பான முறையில் கண்காணிப்பதற்காக இந்தியா நோய் கண்காணிப்பு இணைய வாயிலை அமைக்க உள்ளது.

• COVID-19 வைரஸின் மரபுக்கூற்றைப் பிரித்தெடுத்த உலகின் ஐந்தாவது நாடாக இந்தியா உருவெடுத்துள்ளது.
  • இதற்கு முன்பு ஜப்பான், தாய்லாந்து, அமெரிக்கா மற்றும் சீனா ஆகிய நாடுகள் கொரோனா வைரஸின் மரபுக்கூற்றை வெற்றிகரமாகப் பிரித்தெடுத்துள்ளன.
  • இது நாட்டில் மருந்துகள், தடுப்பூசிகள் மற்றும் விரைவாக நோய் கண்டறிதல் கருவிகள் ஆகியவற்றின் மேம்பாட்டிற்கு உதவுகின்றது.
  • இந்தியாவில் பிரித்தெடுக்கப்பட்ட கொரோனா வைரஸின் மரபுக்கூறானது வுஹான் நகரில் இருந்த கொரோனா வைரஸின் மரபுக்கூறுடன் ஒப்பிடும் பொழுது99% ஒத்தவையாக உள்ளது என்று இந்திய மருத்துவ ஆராய்ச்சி மன்றத்தின் (Indian Council of Medical Research – ICMR) பொது இயக்குநரான பல்ராம் பார்கவா கூறியுள்ளார்.

• Minister of State for Jal Shakti and Social Justice and Empowerment, Shri Rattan LalKataria said that, there is prevalence of Uranium concentration above 30 microgram per litre in some of the localized pockets of few States/UTs in the country.
  • As per WHO provisional guidelines, the maximum permissible limit of Uranium as 0.03 mg/l in all drinking water standards. Elevated uranium level in drinking water may affect human health.

• On March 17, 2020, the Department of Space reported at the Parliament that ISRO has designed NAVIC messaging system and receiver. The system is currently used by the Indian National Centre for Ocean Information system (INCOIS)
  • The system is used to broadcast emergency warning messages in cases such as tsunami, cyclone, high waves.
