• இந்தியாவில் உயர்கல்வி பயில்வோர் எண்ணிக்கையில், தமிழகம் முதலிடம் வகிப்பதாக முதல்வர் எடப்பாடி கே.பழனிசாமி தெரிவித்தார்.
  • செய்தித் துளிகள் :
    • கடந்த 2011-ஆம் ஆண்டில் 100-க்கு 34 பேர் உயர் கல்வி படித்த நிலையில், தற்போது 100-க்கு 49 பேர் உயர்கல்வி படித்து வருகின்றனர். இதனால், இந்திய அளவில் உயர்கல்வி பெறுவதில் முதன்மை மாநிலமாக தமிழகம் விளங்கி வருகிறது.

 

 

இந்திய நிகழ்வுகள்

 

• பிட் காயின்’ உள்ளிட்ட மெய்நிகர் நாணயங்களுக்கு இந்தியாவில் விதிக்கப்பட்டிருந்த தடையை உச்சநீதிமன்றம் மார்ச் 4-ஆம் தேதி நீக்கியது. இதன் மூலம் மெய்நிகர் நாணயங்களுக்கு இந்திய ரிசர்வ் வங்கி (ஆர்பிஐ) கடந்த 2018-ஆம் ஆண்டு விதித்த தடை முடிவுக்கு வந்துள்ளது.

    • மெய்நிகர் நாணயப் பரிவர்த்தனைகள் அனைத்தும், பொதுவான இணையதள தகவல் சேமிப்பகத்தில் மேற்கொள்ளப்படும் மின்னணு தகவல் பதிவுகளாகவே நிகழ்கின்றன. மெய்நிகர் பணப் பரிவர்த்தனை செய்யும்போது, அது பொதுவான ஒரு இணையதள கணக்குப் பதிவேட்டில் பதிவு செய்யப்படுகிறது. இதுவரை 2095 வகையிலான மெய்நிகர் நாணயங்கள் புழக்கத்தில் உள்ளன.

 

 

• இயற்கைக் குறியீடு (NATURAL INDEX) அமைப்பானது 2020ஆம் ஆண்டின் இயற்கைக் குறியீட்டுத் தரவரிசையை வெளியிட்டுள்ளது
  • அறிவியல் மற்றும் தொழில்துறை ஆராய்ச்சிக் குழு (CSIR – Council of Scientific and Industrial Research) குறியீட்டில் முதலிடத்தில் உள்ளது.
  • பெங்களுருவின் இந்திய அறிவியல் நிறுவனம் (IISC – Indian Institute of Science) இரண்டாவது இடத்தைப் பிடித்துள்ளது.
  • மூன்றாவது இடத்தை மும்பையில் உள்ள டாடா அடிப்படை ஆராய்ச்சி நிறுவனம் (TIFR – Mumbai)) பிடித்துள்ளது.
  • செய்தித் துளிகள் :
    • 2018 டிசம்பர் முதல் 2019 நவம்பர் வரை நிறுவனங்கள் மேற்கொண்ட ஆராய்ச்சியின் அடிப்படையில் இத்தரவரிசை அமைந்துள்ளது.
    • எண்களின் மொத்த மேற்கோளும் மற்றும் ஒரு கட்டுரைக்குக் கிட்டும் பகிர்வு சதவீதத்தைப் பொருத்தே இவ்வாராய்ச்சியின் முடிவு அமைந்துள்ளது.

• ஐரோப்பிய ஆணையமானது மொனாக்கோவில் ஒரு புதிய உலகளாவிய கூட்டிணைவைத் தொடங்கியுள்ளது.
  • பல்லுயிர்ப் பாதுகாப்பின் அவசியம் குறித்து விழிப்புணர்வை ஏற்படுத்துவதற்காக ஒரு வலுவான கூட்டிணைவிற்கு இந்த ஆணையம் அழைப்பு விடுத்துள்ளது.

    • 2020ஆம் ஆண்டு அக்டோபரில் நடைபெற இருக்கும் உயிரியல் பன்முகத் தன்மை ஒப்பந்தம் தொடர்பான பங்காளர்கள் மாநாட்டின் 15வது அமர்விற்கு முன்னதாக, இந்த ஆணையக் குழுவானது இயற்கைப் பிரச்சினைகள் குறித்து பொது மக்களிடையே விழிப்புணர்வை ஏற்படுத்துவதை நோக்கமாகக் கொண்டுள்ளது

 

 

அறிவியல் மற்றும் தொழில்நுட்ப நிகழ்வுகள்

 

• “நானோ அறிவியல் மற்றும் தொழில்நுட்பம் குறித்த சர்வதேச மாநாடு” (ஐகான்சாட்) மார்ச் 5-7 கொல்கத்தாவில் நடைபெறுகிறது
  • அறிவியல் மற்றும் தொழில்நுட்ப அமைச்சகத்தின் கீழ் செயல்படும் அறிவியல் மற்றும் தொழில்நுட்பத் துறை (டிஎஸ்டி) நானோ மிஷன் இதை ஏற்பாடு செய்துள்ளது
  • செய்தித் துளிகள் :
    • நாடு மற்றும் வெளிநாடுகளில் இருந்து இளம் ஆராய்ச்சியாளர்கள் மற்றும் மாணவர்களுக்கு ஒரு சாத்தியமான தளத்தை வழங்குவதை மாநாடு நோக்கமாகக் கொண்டுள்ளது.
    • மேம்பட்ட தொழில்-கல்வி தொடர்புகளுக்கான தொழில்முனைவோர் மற்றும் தொடக்க நிறுவனங்களுக்கான ஒரு தொழில்துறை அமர்வை இந்த மாநாடு நடத்தும்.

• On March 5, 2020, the Department of Science and Technology operating under Ministry of Science and Technology organized an International Conference on Nano-Science and Nano Technology (ICONSAT) at The Conference is to be held between March 5, 2020 and March 7, 2020.

• Luxembourg has become the first country with a free public transport system, with all fares for trams, trains and buses abolished as of February 29 2020. The one exception is first-class train travel, which will cost £2.60 (€3) per journey.
  • The scheme was originally announced in 2018, with a summer 2019 launch planned, but pushed back to this year.

• Shafali Verma, the teenage Indian batting sensation, has gained the top spot in the ICC women’s T20 International rankings, riding on her stellar run at the ongoing World Cup.
  • She has become only the second India batter after Mithali Raj to top the women’s T20 International rankings, according to an ICC statement.
