• காரைக்காலில் இன்று மாங்கனி இறைத்தல் விழா கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது.
  • சிவபெருமானால் அம்மையே என்று அழைக்கப்பட்ட பெருமைக்குரியவர் புனிதவதியார் என்னும் காரைக்கால் அம்மையார், இவர் 63 நாயன்மார்களில் ஒருவர்.
  • இவரது நினைவாக இவ்விழா கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது.
  • காரைக்கால் அம்மையாருக்கென தனி கோயில் காரைக்காலில் அமைந்திருக்கிறது.

• என் ஐ ஏ சட்ட திருத்த மசோதா மக்களவையில் நிறைவேறியது.
• தேசிய புலனாய்வு அமைப்பை (என் ஐ ஏ) வலுப்படுத்தும் வகையில் “ என் ஐ ஏ சட்ட மசோதா 2019” மக்களவையில் நிறைவேற்றப்பட்டுள்ளது.
• தேர்வு துளிகள்:
• தேசிய புலனாய்வு அமைப்பு 2009 ஆம் ஆண்டு உருவாக்கப்பட்டது. இதன் தலைவர் யோகேஷ் சந்திர மோடி
• இந்த புலனாய்வு அமைப்பு உள்துறை அமைச்சகத்தின் கட்டுப்பாட்டில் செயல்படும்.

• சந்திராயன் – 2 ஏவும் திட்டம் கடைசி நேரத்தில் ஒத்திவைப்பு.

• The NIA (Amendment) Bill, 2019, was passed in Lok Sabha on Monday, The Bill amends the National Investigation Agency (NIA) Act, 2008 that provides for a national-level agency to investigate and prosecute offences listed in the scheduled offences. 
  • Congress opposed to the Bill saying it may be misused by the govt for political vendett

SCIENCE AND TECH UPDATES

• The launch of India’s second lunar mission Chandarayan 2 has been temporarily stopped less than an hour before the scheduled launch, due to a technical problem. The satellite had been scheduled for launch at 02:51 local time on Monday (21:21 GMT Sunday) from Sriharikota space station on India’s eastern coast.
  • The countdown stopped 56 minutes before due to “technical fault was observed in launch vehicle system,” Reported by ISRO.

• Young shooter Elavenil Valarivan won gold medal in the Junior World cup 2019. she had won gold at the same championships last
  •  she shot 251.6 in the final to win gold.She defeated her compatriot Mehuli Ghosh .

• The United Nations, at its General Assembly in November 2014, declared15 July as World Youth Skills Day. The aim of World Youth Skills Day is to encourage youth to celebrate the value of acquiring skills like building, making, and creating as a way to achieve personal success and fulfillment.
  • The theme for the 2019 World Youth Skills day is “Learning to learn for life and work”.
