• நாடாளுமன்ற பட்ஜெட் கூட்டத்தொடர் ஜனவரி 31ம் தேதி தொடங்குகிறது. முதல் நாளில் பொருளாதார ஆய்வறிக்கை தாக்கல் செய்யப்படவுள்ளது.
  • பிரதமர் நரேந்திர மோடி தலைமையிலான மத்திய அரசு தனது 2-ஆவது ஆட்சிக் காலத்தின் 2-ஆவது 2020-21-ஆம் நிதியாண்டுக்கான மத்திய பட்ஜெட்டை பிப்ரவரி 1-ஆம் தேதி நிதியமைச்சர் நிர்மலா சீதாராமன் தாக்கல் செய்கிறார். அவர் தாக்கல் செய்யும் முதல் முழு பட்ஜெட் இதுவாகும்.

    • தனிநபர் தகவல் பாதுகாப்பு மசோதா உள்பட பல்வேறு முக்கிய மசோதாக்கள் இந்த பட்ஜெட் கூட்டத் தொடரில் நிறைவேற்றப்படும் என்று எதிர்பார்க்கப்படுகிறது.

 

 

• ஐக்கிய தேசிய அபிவிருத்தி திட்டத்தின் (யு.என்.டி.பி) கருத்துப்படி, நிலையான அபிவிருத்தி இலக்குகளை (Sustainable Development Goals (SDG))அடைவதில் தெலுங்கானா சிறந்த செயல்திறன் மிக்க மாநிலங்களாக உருவெடுத்துள்ளது.
  • 2019 டிசம்பரில் இந்தியா எஸ்.டி.ஜி இந்தியா குறியீட்டை வெளியிட்டது என்பது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.

    • SDG குறியீட்டை வெளியிட்ட முதல் நாடு இந்தியா. இந்த குறியீட்டை நிதி ஆயோக் அறிமுகப்படுத்தியது.

சர்வதேச நிகழ்வுகள்

 

• இந்தியாவிற்கும் பங்களாதேஷ{க்கும் இடையிலான கூட்டு இராணுவப் பயிற்சி 2020 பிப்ரவரி 3 முதல் 2020 பிப்ரவரி 16 வரை மேகாலயாவின் உம்ரோய் நகரில் நடைபெற உள்ளது.
  • இந்த பயிற்சியை “SAMPRITI” என்று அழைக்கப்படுகிறது.
  • செய்தி துளிகள்
    • இராணுவப் பயிற்சிகளை மேற்கொள்வதற்காக 2017ஆம் ஆண்டில் இந்தியாவும் பங்களாதேஷ{ம் பாதுகாப்பு ஒப்பந்தத்தில் கையெழுத்திட்டன. அதன் பின்னர் இந்தியா பங்களாதேஷ{க்கு தங்கள் அதிகாரிகளுக்கு பயிற்சி அளித்து வருகிறது.
    • முதல் இந்தியா-பங்களாதேஷ் கடற்படை பயிற்சி அக்டோபர் 2019 இல் விசாகப்பட்டினத்தில் நடத்தப்பட்டது.

• கௌரவ மிக்க உலக விளையாட்டின் சிறந்த வீராங்கனை 2019 விருதை (வேர்ல்ட் கேம்ஸ் அதலெட் ஆஃப் தி இயர்) வென்றார் இந்திய மகளிர் ஹாக்கி அணியின் கேப்டன் ராணி ராம்பால்.

    • கடந்த ஆண்டு எஃப்ஐஎச் சீரிஸ் தொடர் விருது வென்ற ராணியின் அபார ஆட்டத்தால் ஒலிம்பிக் போட்டிக்கும் இந்திய அணி தகுதிபெற்றது.

• ஒவ்வொரு ஆண்டும் ஜனவரி 30 உலக புறக்கணிக்கப்பட்ட வெப்பமண்டல நோய்கள் தினமாக (World Neglected Tropical Diseases day) குறிக்கப்படுகிறது.
  • வெப்பமண்டல நோய்களை நிவர்த்தி செய்வதில் இந்நாள் விழிப்புணர்வை உருவாக்குகிறது.
  • உலக NTD தினம் குறிக்கப்படுவது இதுவே முதல் முறை.

NATIONAL NEWS

• The Indian Railways is to implement plans for RFID (Radio Frequency IDentification). The railways is to tag around 3,50,000 rolling stocks by 2021. Under the programme, around 3,500 coaches have been fitted with RFID so far.
  • This will help the Indian Railways in early identification of rolling stock.

• A Joint Military Exercise between India and Bangladesh is to be held at Umroi, Meghalaya between 3rd February, 2020 and 16th February, 2020. The exercise is called “SAMPRITI”.
  • During the joint exercise, Command Post Exercise and Field Training Exercise is to be conducted according to United Nations Charter.

• To mark the 75th anniversary of the formation of Shri Ram Chandra Mission and Heartfulness Institute, unveiled the meditation centre slated to be the world’s largest. The centre that can accommodate one lakh meditation people at a time.
  • Built on 30 acres, the meditation centre with a central hall and eight peripheral halls to accommodate 1,00,000 people, will offer meditation training free.

 

 

• Union Cabinet has approved the Medical Termination of Pregnancy (Amendment) Bill, 2020. The bill will amend the Medical Termination of Pregnancy Act, 1971. The limit of termination of pregnancy has been increased from 20 weeks to 24 weeks.
  • For Medical termination of pregnancy, permission will be needed, from two doctors and one of them must be a government doctor.

 

 

INTERNATIONAL NEWS

• On January 30, 2020, the Indian Commission for Cooperation with UNESCO (INCCU) was chaired by the Union Human Resource Development Minister Shri Ramesh Pokhriyal.
  • Along with the UNESCO commission, the event was also attended by the sub commissions namely Social Sciences, Culture, Education, Natural Sciences and Culture.

• Indian javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra has qualified for the Tokyo Olympics with a throw of 86 metres at the Athletics Central North East meeting in South Africa. The 22-year-old Asian breached the Olympic qualification mark of 85 metres in his fourth attempt at Potchefstroom.
  • Neeraj had missed the IAAF World Championships, the Diamond League and the Asian Championships due to an elbow injury.
