• உத்திரபிரதேச மாநிலம் புலந்த்செகரில், ஆர்.எஸ்.எஸ்., நடத்தும் முதல் ராணுவ பள்ளி தொடங்கப்பட உள்ளது.
  • ஆர்.எஸ்.எஸ்., தலைவராக இருந்த ராஜு பையாவின் பெயரில், “ராஜூ பையா சைனிக் வித்யா மந்திர்” என அழைக்கப்படும் பள்ளியின் கட்டடம் தயாராக உள்ள நிலையில் வகுப்புகள் ஏப்ரல் மாதம் முதல் துவங்கும்.

 

 

• உத்திரபிரதேசத்தில் பணிபுரியும் தமிழகத்தைச் சேர்ந்த ஐபிஎஸ் அதிகாரி பி.தினேஷ்குமாருக்கு குடியரசு தின பாராட்டு விருது வழங்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
  • இந்து-முஸ்லிம் உள்ளிட்ட பல்வேறு அமைப்புகளுடன் தினேஷ்குமார் பேச்சுவார்த்தை நடத்தி முன்னெச்சரிக்கை நடவடிக்கைகளை எடுத்து வருகிறார். இதனால், பொதுமக்களுக்கு எவ்வித இடையூறும் நேராமல் அமைதியான முறையில் போராட்டம் தொடர்கிறது. இந்த செயலை பாரட்டி தினேஷ்குமாருக்கு உ.பி. அரசு தங்கப் பதக்கம் வழங்கி கவுரவித்துள்ளது.

  • தனது கிராமத்தில் உள்ள குழந்தைகள் கல்வி பயில வேண்டும் என்பதற்காக தனது சொற்ப வருமானத்திலும் கொஞ்சம் பணம் சேர்த்து பிற இடங்களில் கடன் வாங்கி தனது கிராமத்திலேயே முதன்முறையாக பள்ளி ஒன்றை தொடங்கியுள்ளார். ஏழ்மையான நிலையிலும் மாணவர்கள் படிக்க கஜப்பா செய்த இந்த முயற்சியை பாராட்டி மத்திய அரசு அவருக்கு பத்மஸ்ரீ விருது அறிவித்துள்ளது.

    • பத்மஸ்ரீ என்பது இந்திய அரசால் வழங்கப்படும் நாட்டின் நான்காவது உயரிய குடியியல் விருது.
    • இது முதன் முதலில் ஜனவரி 2, 1954ஆம் ஆண்டில் இந்தியக் குடியரசுத் தலைவரால் ஏற்படுத்தப்பட்டது.
    • பாரத ரத்னா, பத்ம விபூசன், பத்ம பூசன் விருதுகளுக்கு அடுத்தபடியாக நான்காவது வரிசையில் அமைந்துள்ளது.

 

 

அறிவியல் மற்றும் தொழில்நுட்பம்

 

• எளிதில் உடையக் கூடிய மற்றும் அளவில் சிறிய பொருள்களை, கையால் தொடாமல் ஒலி அலைகளைக் கொண்டு தேவையான இடத்துக்கு நகர்த்தும் புதிய ரோபோவை விஞ்ஞானிகள் கண்டுபிடித்துள்ளனர்..

• The country’s first Super Fab Lab was launched at the Integrated Startup Complex of the Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM). The lab will give a major push to the hardware industry in the country and the only such facility outside the U.S.
  • The Super Fab Lab will function in collaboration with the MIT.

• The smallest gold coin in the world featuring legendary scientist Albert Einstein has been recently minted by Switzerland. The gold coin of about 0.12 inches of diameter has been made by state-owned Swiss mint and features the scientist sticking out his tongue.
  • The size of the coin weighing 1/500th of an ounce is so small that it comes along with a magnifying glass for observing Einstein’s cheeky image.
