தமிழக நிகழ்வுகள்

 

• இந்தியாவில் முதன் முறையாக “DRONE” மூலம் வானில் பறக்கும் “ஏர் டாக்சி” யை (India’s First Air taxi, Drone Air Taxi) அண்ணா பல்கலைக்கழகத்தை சேர்ந்த “தக்ஷா மாணவர் குழு” தயாரித்துள்ளது.
  • இந்த “ஏர் ஆம்புலன்ஸ்” உடல் உறுப்பு மாற்று அறுவை சிகிச்சையின் போது பயன்படுத்தப்படும்.

 

 

• சென்னையில் உள்ள நந்தம்பாக்கத்தில் நடைபெற்ற தமிழக அரசின் 2வது உலக முதலீட்டாளர் மாநாட்டில் சுமார் 304 புரிந்துணர்வு ஒப்பந்தங்கள் கையெழுத்திடப்பட்டுள்ளது.
  • இதன் மதிப்பு – 3 இலட்சத்து 431 கோடி ஆகும். இதன் பகுதியாக நாகப்பட்டினத்தில் 27,000 கோடி முதலீட்டில் மிகப்பெரிய பெட்ரோலியம் சுத்திகரிப்பு மையம், சென்னை பெட்ரோலியம் கார்பரேஷனால் அமைக்கப்பட உள்ளது.

 

 

இந்திய நிகழ்வுகள்

 

• அந்தமான் மற்றும் நிகோபார் தீவுகளில் உள்ள டிஜிலியூரில் INS KOHASSA என்ற புதிய கடற்படை விமானத் தளத்தை கடற்படை தலைமை அட்மிரலான சுனில் லம்பா தொடங்கி வைத்துள்ளது.
  • இது அந்தமான் – நிகோபார் தீவுகளில் அமைக்கப்பட்ட 3வது விமான தளமாகும். இந்த விமானத் தளமானது பாதுகாப்புத் துறைக்கும் பயணிகள் விமானப் போக்குவரத்திற்கும் பயன்படுத்தப்படும்.

 

 

• இந்தியாவில் உள்ள சமயம் சார்ந்த பகுதிகளுக்கு அரசு நிதியளிக்கும் சுற்றுலா திட்டமான “பிரவசி தீர்த்த தர்சன் யோஜனா” என்ற திட்டத்தை இந்திய பிரதமர் புது டெல்லியில் தொடங்கி வைத்துள்ளார்.
  • இதற்கான வயது வரம்பு 45 முதல் 65 வயது ஆகும்.

 

 

விருதுகள்

 

• பேட்டி பச்சாவ் பேட்டி பாதவோ (பெண் குழந்தைகளை பாதுகாப்போம் மற்றும் கற்பிப்போம்) என்ற திட்டத்தை சிறப்பாக செயல்படுத்தியதற்காக இரு விருதுகளை தமிழகம் பெற்றுள்ளது அவ்விருதுகள்:-

• 2019 குடியரசு தின விழாவில், இராணுவத்தில் வீர தீர செயல் புரிந்தவர்களுக்காக வழங்கப்படும் மிக உயரிய விருதான அசோக் சக்ரா விருது காஷ்மீர் மாநிலத்தைச் சேர்ந்த இராணுவ வீரர் “நசிர் அகமது வானி” (மரணத்திற்கு பிறகு) என்பவருக்கு வழங்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
  • இவ்விருதானது 1952 முதல் வழங்கப்பட்டு வருகிறது.

  • ஐக்கிய நாடுகள் பொதுச்சபையானது அமைதி மற்றும் வளர்ச்சிக்காக கல்வியின் மதிப்புக் கூட்டும் வகையில் ஜனவரி 24ம் தேதியை கல்விக்கான தினமாக அனுசரிக்க 2018ம் ஆண்டு டிசம்பரில் முடிவெடுத்தது.
  • அதன்படி உலகம் முழுவதிலும் ஜனவரி 24ம் தேதி கல்விக்கான தினமாக அனுசரிக்கப்படுகிறது.

National News

 

• Dharmendra Pradhan, Minister of skill development implemented new reforms for Jan Shikshan Sansthan (JSS) to enhance skill ecosystem and entrepreneurship in most of the remotest areas of India under centre’s flagship programme Skill India at the National Conference for Jan Shikshan Sansthan (JSSs) in New Delhi.

 

• The second edition of Tamil Nadu government’s ambitious two-day Global Investors Meet (GIM) 2019 which aimed at showcasing the state’s potential business opportunities and wooing investment was inaugurated at Chennai Trade Centre, Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
  • The event had managed to exceed the target investment of Rs 2 lakh crore and has witnessed the signing of 304 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) worth Rs 3.4 lakh crore with promise of job opportunities for about 5 lakh people in the state.

 

• South Africa President Cyril Ramaphosa arrived in Delhi for his first state visit ahead of the Republic Day celebration parade, where he is the chief guest. Ramaphosa is second South Africa’s President after Nelson Mandela to be the chief guest at the Republic Day parade.

 

• India opened the year’s space campaign by putting into orbit defence imaging satellite “Microsat R” for the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and students-built nano-satellite “Kalamsat” in a copy book style.
  • India has successfully launched its 46th flight of Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV-C44) carrying Kalamsat, a communication satellite developed by students and India’s military satellite Microsat-R from Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota.

 

• Nepal and India have agreed to set up an ‘Energy Banking’ mechanism that would help the Himalayan country export its surplus electricity to neighbour India during the monsoon season and import power during its lean season in winter.
  • The agreement on the ‘Energy Banking’ mechanism was arrived at during a meeting between the Nepali and Indian Energy Secretaries in Pokhara.

 

• The Telangana government has decided to form a ‘State Tiger Protection Force’ to save the Big Cat population in the State. The 112-member-armed STPF will be headed by an Assistant Conservator of Forests to protect tiger population in Amarabad and Kawal Tiger Reserves.

 

International News

 

• The Pakistan government declared sugarcane juice as the “national drink” of the country. The announcement came after the government conducted a Twitter poll where people were asked to decide on the country’s national drink with two other options orange and carrot besides sugarcane.

 

Science & Technology

 

• Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO) successfully launched Long Range Surface to Air Missile (LR-SAM) jointly developed by DRDO and Israel Aerospace Industries from INS Chennai off the coast of Odisha.
  • LR-SAM will improve air defence capabilities. It also had a system which includes a Multi-Functional Surveillance and Threat Alert Radar (MF-STAR) for detection, tracking and guidance of the missile.

 

Economy

 

• The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) in collaboration with Indian Air Force (IAF) released a new standard for Aviation Turbine Fuels (ATF) which can be used as bio-jet fuel on all military and civilian aircraft.

 

• Global growth is expected to remain at 3 per cent in 2019 and 2020, however, the steady pace of expansion in the global economy masks an increase in downside risks that could potentially exacerbate development challenges in many parts of the world, according to the World Economic Situation and Prospects 2019.

 

Awards

 

• “No Presents Please”, originally written in Kannada by noted author Jayant Kaikini and translated into English by Tejaswini Niranjana, was announced as the winner of the prestigious $25,000 DSC Prize for South Asian Literature 2018 at the Tata Steel Kolkata Literary Meet in Kolkata.

  • India is celebrating 9th National Voters Day on 25th January 2019 for enhanced participation of citizens in the electoral process. The main purpose of celebrating National Voters Day is to encourage, facilitate and maximize the enrollment, especially for the new voters. The National Voters Day was first celebrated on 25th January 2011.
  • The theme for this years National Voters’ Day is ‘Accessible Elections’ to spread awareness among voters regarding effective participation in the electoral process.
