• விமான நிலையங்களில் பாதுகாப்பை அதிகரிக்கும் வகையில் ஊழியர்கள் உட்பட விமான நிலையத்தில் பணியாற்றும் அனைத்து தரப்பினருக்கும் இனி பயோமெட்ரிக் நுழைவுச் சீட்டு வழங்கும் திட்டம் தொடங்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
  • இது தற்போது வழங்கப்படும் பேப்பரிலான நுழைவுச்சீட்டுக்கு (Airport Entry Permit) மாற்றாக அமையும்.
  • விமான நிலையங்களில் பாதுகாப்பை பலப்படுத்தும் வகையில் பயோமெட்ரிக் தரவுகளுடன் இயங்கும் வகையிலான மையப்படுத்தப்பட்ட அணுகல் கட்டுப்பாட்டு அமைப்பு (CACS) திட்டத்தை மத்திய விமான போக்குவரத்து அமைச்சர் ஹர்தீப் சிங் பூரி தொடங்கி வைத்துள்ளார்.

    • விமான நிலையங்களில் பணியாற்றும் சுமார் 3 லட்சம் ஊழியர்களுக்கு இந்த பயோமெட்ரிக் கார்டு வழங்கப்படுமெனவும், ஊழியர்களின் நுழைவு இனி காலதாமதமில்லாமல் நடைபெறுவதுடன் நுழைவுக்கான கால வரம்பு ஒரு ஆண்டில் இருந்து 3 ஆண்டாக உயர்த்தப்படுகிறது என்றும் அறிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

 

 

• சமூக ,பொருளாதார மற்றும் சுற்றுச்சூழல் ஆகியவற்றை கருத்தில் கொண்டு மாநிலங்களின் வளர்ச்சியை மதிப்பீடு செய்து ,தர வரிசை பட்டியலை தயாரித்தது நிதி ஆயோக். 2019 -ஆம் ஆண்டிற்கான நிலையான வளர்ச்சி இலக்கு பட்டியலை நிதி ஆயோக் வெளியிட்டது.
  • இந்த பட்டியலில் கேரள மாநிலம் 70 புள்ளிகள் பெற்று முதலிடம் பெற்றுள்ளது.2 -வது இடத்தில் 69 புள்ளிகளுடன் இமாசலப் பிரதேசம் உள்ளது.3-வது இடத்தில் 67 புள்ளிகளுடன் தமிழ்நாடு,ஆந்திரா,தெலுங்கானா மாநிலங்கள் உள்ளது.
  • செய்தி துளிகள்:
    • இந்திய நாடு சுதந்திரம் அடைந்த பிறகு மாநிலங்களில் வளர்ச்சித் திட்டங்களுக்கு நிதி ஒதுக்குவது தொடர்பாக 1950 ஆம் ஆண்டு மார்ச் மாதம் 15 ஆம் தேதி மத்திய திட்டக்குழு ஏற்படுத்தப்பட்டது.
    • இந்த அமைப்பின் தலைவராகப் பிரதமர் செயல்படுவார். துணைத் தலைவர் மற்றும் ஐந்து நிரந்தர உறுப்பினர்களும் பிரதமரால் நியமிக்கப்படுவார்கள்.

 

 

சர்வதேச நிகழ்வுகள்

 

• பெய்ஜிங்கிலிருந்து சாங் ச்சியாகாவ்வுக்குச் செல்லும் உயர்வேக இருப்புப் பாதை 30ஆம் நாள் அதிகாரப்பூர்வமாகப் போக்குவரத்து சேவைக்கு வந்துள்ளது. சீன அரசுத் தலைவர் ஷி ச்சின்பிங் இது பற்றிய, பெய்ஜிங்-சாங் ச்சியாகாவ் இருப்புப்பாதை சீனாவின் இருப்புப்பாதை கட்டுமானத்தின் வளர்ச்சியை மட்டுமல்லாமல், நாட்டின் ஒட்டுமொத்த ஆற்றலின் அதிகரிப்பையும் வெளிக்காட்டுகின்றது என்று தெரிவித்தார்.
  • பெய்ஜிங்-சாங் ச்சியாகாவ் உயர்வேக இருப்புப்பாதை என்பது 2020 பெய்ஜிங் குளிர்கால ஒலிம்பிக் விளையாட்டுப் போட்டிக்கான முக்கிய திட்டப்பணிகளில் ஒன்றாகும். அதன் வேகம் மணிக்கு 350 கிலோ மீட்டராகும்.

• இலங்கையின் யாழ்ப்பாணம் பலாலி சர்வதேச விமான நிலையத்தைப் போல மட்டக்களப்பு விமான நிலையத்தையும் விரிவுபடுத்த இந்தியா முன்வந்துள்ளதாக இலங்கை அமைச்சர் பிரசன்ன ரணதுங்க கூறியுள்ளார்.
  • இலங்கையில் ஈழத் தமிழர்களின் தாயகப் பகுதியான வடக்கு கிழக்கில் இந்திய அரசு பல்வேறு அபிவிருத்தி பணிகளை மேற்கொண்டு வருகிறது. பலாலி விமான நிலையத்தை சர்வதேச விமான நிலையமாக விரிவாக்கம் செய்தது இந்தியா.

    • யாழ்ப்பாணம் பலாலி விமான நிலையத்தை சர்வதேச விமான நிலையமாக விரிவாக்கம் செய்யும் பணிகள் போக்குவரத்து மற்றும் சிவில் விமான சேவைகள் அமைச்சர் அர்ஜுன ரணதுங்கவின் தலைமையில் கடந்த ஜுலை மாதம் 5 ஆம் தேதியன்று ஆரம்பித்து வைக்கப்பட்டது.

• கால்பந்து உலகில் பல்வேறு சாதனைகளை ஏற்படுத்தியவர் போர்ச்சுகல் வீரர் ரொனால்டோ. இந்நிலையில் இந்த வருடத்தின் இறுதியில் குளோப் சாக்கர் விருதை வாங்கியுள்ளார் ரொனால்டோ.
  • செய்தி துளிகள்:
    • ரொனால்டோ கடந்த சீசனில் ஜுவென்டஸ{க்காக 28 கோல்களை அடித்தார் மற்றும் 21 ஆட்டங்களில் இருந்து 12 கோல்களை அடித்துள்ளார்
    • ரொனால்டோ ஒன்பது ஆண்டுகளில் ஆறு முறை விருதை வென்றுள்ளார்; அதே நேரத்தில் இந்த ஆண்டின் ‘பிற’ பெரிய கால்பந்து விருதுகளில் இரண்டாம் இடத்தைப் பிடித்ததுள்ளார்

ENGLISH CURRENT AFFAIRS

 

• India has improved its composite score from 57 in 2018 to 60 in the Sustainable Development Goals Index 2019-20.
  • This has been achieved due to better works in water and sanitation, affordable and clean energy and industry, innovation, and infrastructure. Kerala, Himachal Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Telangana have topped the list of states on the SDGs Index-2019-20.

• The Government of India on December 30, 2019, launched “Central Equipment Identify Register” portal to block and trace mobile phones. The web portal will operate under Department of Telecom.
  • The CEIR portal has been established in order to address theft, security and other concerns. The portal will also hold database of IMEI numbers of blacklisted handsets.

• On December 31, 2019, General Bipin Rawat was appointed as the Chief of Defence Staff. He recently retired as Chief of Army Staff and was succeeded by General Manoj Mukund.
  • Recently, the Union Cabinet approved the post of Chief of Defence Staff in the rank of four star general. The salaries and perks of the CDS is equivalent to service chief.

INTERNATIONAL NEWS

• Sri Lankan government has said that it will develop Batticaloa airport in eastern province as an international airport with Indian assistance. Minister of Tourism and aviation Prasanna Ranatunga said, the Indian government has extended its fullest cooperation to develop the domestic airport and it has been discussed with the Indian High Commissioner in Sri Lanka Taranjit Singh Sandhu recently.
  • The Government of India would like to extend its air services to Batticaloa airport as well.

• Afghanistan spinner Mujeeb Ur Rahman has become the youngest bowler in history to take 100 wickets in T20 cricket. Mujeeb achieved the feet at the age of 18 years and 271 days.
  • By doing this he broke the record of Afghanistan all-rounder Rashid Khan, who had reached 100 T20 wickets at the age of 18 years and 360 days.
