இந்திய நிகழ்வுகள்

 

• ஆசியாவின் மிகப்பெரிய விமானக் கண்காட்சியான “ஏரோ இந்தியா – 2019” பெங்களுரில் நடைபெற்றது. இந்த கண்காட்சியில் பாதுகாப்பு தளவாட உற்பத்தி நிறுவனமான லாக்ஹீடு மார்ட்டின்( அமெரிக்கா), F-21 என்ற பல பணிகள் மேற்கொள்ளும் போர் விமானத்தை அறிமுகப்படுத்தியுள்ளது. 
  • இந்த போர் விமானம் “இந்தியாவில் தயாரிப்போம்” என்ற திட்டத்தின் கீழ் தயாரிக்கப்பட உள்ளது.

 

 

• ஆம்புலன்ஸ் வாகனங்கள் செல்ல முடியாத ஆறுகள் சூழ்ந்த பகுதியில் “படகு ஆம்புலன்ஸ்” சேவையை ஒடிசா தொடங்கியுள்ளது.
  • இச்சேவையின் முதல் படகானது “நம்பிக்கை வாகனம்” என்ற பெயரில் கேந்தரபரா மாவட்டத்தின் பாடிஹர் என்ற இடத்தில் தொடங்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

 

 

• 2022ம் ஆண்டில் “புதிய இந்தியா” மற்றும் விவசாயிகளின் வருமானத்தை இருமடங்காக உயர்த்தல் ஆகியவைகளை நோக்கமாகக் கொண்ட, வேளாண் அறிவியல் காங்கிரஸின் 14வது பதிப்பு புதுடெல்லியில் நடைபெற்றது. (14th Agriculture Science Congress).

 

 

உலக நிகழ்வுகள்

 

• இந்தியா மற்றும் நேபாளம் ஆகிய நாடுகளுக்கிடையே நீடித்த மற்றும் பரஸ்பர புரிந்துணர்வை மேம்படுத்துவதற்கான இந்தியத் திருவிழாவானது (Festival of India) காத்மண்டுவில் (நேபாளம்) நடைபெற்றது.
  • இந்தியக் கலாச்சார அமைச்சகத்தின் உதவியுடன் காத்மண்டுவில் உள்ள இந்திய தூதரகத்தில் நடத்தப்பட்டது.
  • நேபாளத்தின் இந்திய தூதர் – மஞ்சீவ் சிங் புரி
  • நேபாளத்தின் பிரதமர் – K.P. சர்மா ஒலி ஆவார்.

 

 

• தாய்லாந்து மற்றும் அமெரிக்கா நாடுகளுக்கிடையேயான “கோப்ரா கோல்டு” (Cobra Gold) இராணுவ பயிற்சியானது தாய்லாந்தில் நடைபெற்றது.
  • இந்தியா உள்ளிட்ட 29 நாடுகள் பங்கேற்பாளர் அல்லது பார்வையாளர்களாக கலந்து கொண்டன.
  • 2016ம் ஆண்டில் சீனாவுடன் இணைந்து “Observer Plus” பிரிவில் முதல் முறையாக இந்தியா பங்கேற்றது.

 

 

விளையாட்டு நிகழ்வுகள்

 

• புதுடெல்லியில் நடைபெற்று வரும் உலககோப்பை துப்பாக்கிச் சுடுதல் போட்டியில் ஆடவர் 10மீ ஏர்பிஸ்டல் பிரிவில் இந்திய வீரர் “சௌரவ் சௌத்ரி” 245 புள்ளிகள் குவித்து புதிய உலக சாதனையுடன் தங்கம் வென்றுள்ளார்.
  • 16 வயதே ஆன இவர் உத்திரப் பிரதேச மாநிலத்தைச் சேர்ந்தவர்.

 

 

விருதுகள்

 

• ஆசியன் ஹாக்கி சம்மேளனத்தின் 2018ம் ஆண்டின் சிறந்த ஹாக்கி வீரருக்கான விருது இந்தியாவின் “ஹர்மன்பிரீத் சிங்க்கு வழங்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
  • 2018ம் ஆண்டின் சிறந்த எழுச்சி வீரர் (Rising Player of the Year) விருது “லாரம்சியோமி(இந்தியா)” (Lalremsiami)-க்கு வழங்கப்பட்டது.

 

 

நியமனங்கள்

 

• சவுதி அரேபிய நாடானது, அமெரிக்காவின் முதல் பெண் தூதராக “ரீமா பிண்ட பந்தர்” (Reema bint Bandar)-ரை நியமித்துள்ளது.

NATIONAL NEWS

• Prime Minister Narendra Modi dedicated the National War Memorial near India Gate in New Delhi. It is a tribute to India’s soldiers who were martyred post-independence.
  • It also commemorates the soldiers who participated and laid down their lives in Peace Keeping Missions and Counter Insurgency Operations.

 

• The GST Council slashed tax rates on under-construction housing properties to 5% from the existing 12%. The Council also cut GST rates on affordable housing to 1% from the current 8%.The new tax rates will come into effect from April 1, 2019.
  • The council also altered the definition of affordable housing and said any house built on an area of 60 square meters or less in the metro cities of India will now be categorized as affordable housings.

 

• Union Minister of State for Health Ashwini Kumar Choubey launched the national action plan for viral hepatitis in Mumbai. The action plan takes forward the National Viral Hepatitis Control Program launched by the Union Health Minister in July 2018.
  • The aim of this program is to eliminate hepatitis by 2030.

 

• International Advertising Association (IAA), the integrated association of advertising agencies and the media, will organise the 44th edition of its global summit at Grand Hyatt-Lulu Convention Centre, Kochi. The three-day summit will see the participation of dignitaries from various fields and industries all over the world.
  • The theme of the 44th edition is ‘brand dharma’.

 

• Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat launched a helpline for quick redressal of public complaints. People can call on the helpline number “1905” to lodge their complaints.
  • Citizens can contact any department under the this step has been take to ensure speedy functioning of the government departments and step up transparency in their work.

 

INTERNATIONAL NEWS

• Afghanistan President Ashraf Ghani flagged off the first Afghan cargo from western Nimroz province that will be exported to India through Chabahar Port in Iran which was inaugurated in 2017.
  • The Chabahar port which provides an alternative route for trade between India and Afghanistan is located in Southeastern Iran, on the Gulf of Oman.

 

SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY

• World Bank, UN Women, and Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) have joined hands to launch a new social impact bonds exclusively for women, called Women’s Livelihood Bonds (WLBs), with an initial corpus of Rs 300 crore.
  • The proposed bond will enable individual women entrepreneurs in sectors like food processing, agriculture, services and small units to borrow around Rs 50,000 to Rs 3 lakh at an annual interest rate of around 13-14 per cent or less.

 

APPOINTMENT

• Saudi Arabia has appointed Princess Reema bint Bandar, a former business executive and philanthropist, as its first female ambassador to the United States.

 

• The governor of Gezira state, Mohamed Tahir Ayala was appointed as Sudan’s Prime Minister.
  • Sudan’s Defence Minister Awad Mohamed Ahmed Ibn Auf was appointed as first vice president while remaining in his defence post.

 

AWARDS

• A film on menstruation, set in rural India, titled “Period. End of Sentence,” has won the Oscar in the Documentary Short Subject category at the 91st Academy Awards. Award-winning filmmaker Rayka Zehtabchi has directed the short film.
  • The documentary feature is set in Hapur village outside Delhi, where women lead a quiet revolution as they fight against the deeply rooted stigma of menstruation.

 

SPORTS

• The 16-year-old Indian Shooter Saurabh Chaudhary claimed gold medal in the men’s 10m air pistol event with a world record score of 0 in the final at the season-opening International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) event.
  • In addition, he sealed a berth for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
