இந்திய நிகழ்வுகள்

 

• “KP-BOT” என்ற இந்தியாவின் முதல் மனித காவல் ரோபோவை கேரள போலீஸ் அறிமுகப்படுத்தியுள்ளது.
  • பெண் உருவத்தில் இருக்கும் இந்த ரோபோவிற்கு சப்-இன்ஸ்பெக்டர் ரேங்க் வழங்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

 

 

• விவசாயிகளுக்கு ஆண்டுக்கு ரூ.6000 உதவித் தொகை வழங்கும் “பிரதான் மந்திரி விவசாய நலத்திட்டம்” (Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana) என்ற திட்டத்தை பிரதமர் மோடி அவர்கள் பிப்ரவரி 24, 2019 அன்று உத்திரபிரதேசத்தின் கோரக்பூரில் தொடங்கி வைத்துள்ளார்.
  • இந்த நிதியுதவியானது, 2 ஹெக்டேருக்கு குறைவாக நிலம் வைத்திருக்கும் விவசாயிகளுக்கு, மத்திய அரசால் வழங்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

 

 

உலக நிகழ்வுகள்

 

• ரஷ்யா – சீனா – இந்தியா நாடுகள் இணைந்த “RIC” அமைப்பின், 16வது வெளியுறவுத் துறை அமைச்சர்கள் கூட்டம் (16th RIC Foreign Ministerial Meeting) சீனாவின் வூசென் (Wuzhen) நகரில் பிப்ரவரி 27ல் நடைபெற உள்ளது.

 

 

விளையாட்டு நிகழ்வுகள்

 

• புதுடெல்லியில் நடைபெற்று வரும் உலகக்கோப்பை துப்பாக்கி சுடுதல் போட்டியில், 10 மீட்டர் ஏர் ரைபிள் பிரிவில் இந்தியாவின் “அபூர்வி சண்டிலா” (Apurvi Chandela) உலக சாதனையுடன் தங்கம் வென்றுள்ளார்.
  • இராஜஸ்தான் மாநிலத்தைச் சேர்ந்த இவர் 252.9 புள்ளிகளுடன் இந்த சாதனையை படைத்துள்ளார்.

 

 

• உத்திரகாண்ட் மாநிலத்தின் டேராடூனில் நடைபெற்ற ஆப்கானிஸ்தான் – அயர்லாந்து இடையேயான சர்வதேச டி-20 (T20) போட்டியில் ஆப்கானிஸ்தான் அணியானது 278 ரன்கள் குவித்து உலக சாதனைப் படைத்துள்ளது.
  • இதன் மூலம் டி-20 (T20) சர்வதேச போட்டியில் அதிக ரன்கள் குவித்த அணி என்ற பெருமையை ஆப்கானிஸ்தான் பெற்றுள்ளது.

 

 

விருதுகள்

 

• வன விலங்குகள் மற்றும் தாவரங்களை பாதுகாத்ததற்காக வழங்கப்படும் சர்வதேச விருதான “உலகளாவிய எதிர்காலத்திற்கான இயற்கை விருது – 2019” இந்தியாவின் திவ்யா கர்னாடு (Divya Karnad) என்பவருக்கு வழங்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
  • இவர், இந்த விருதினை பெறும் முதல் பெண்மணி என்ற பெருமையை பெற்றுள்ளார்.
  • இதற்கு முன், இவ்விருதினை பெற்ற இந்தியர் – சருதுத் மிஸ்ரா (Charudutt Mishra) என்பவர் ஆவார்.

• இந்திய கிரிக்கெட் கட்டுப்பாட்டு வாரியத்தின் (BCCI ) முதல் ஊழல் விசாரணை அதிகாரியாக உச்ச நீதிமன்றத்தின் முன்னாள் நீதிபதி “டி.கே.ஜெயின்” என்பவர் நியமிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளார்.
  • BCCI –ன் தலைவராக தற்போது C.K.கண்ணா என்பவர் உள்ளார்.

• உலக சிந்தனை தினம் (World Thinking Day) – பிப்ரவரி 22
  • உலகெங்கிலும் உள்ள பெண் வழிகாட்டிகள் மற்றும் பெண் காரணங்களை அடையாளப்படுத்துவதற்காக ஒவ்வொரு ஆண்டும் பிப்ரவரி 22 அன்று உலக சிந்தனை தினம் கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது.
  • 2019 ஆம் ஆண்டின் உலக சிந்தனை தினத்தின் கருத்துரு: தலைமைத்துவம் (Leadership) என்பதாகும்.

NATIONAL NEWS

• Prime MinisterNarendra Modi launched the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme in Gorakhpur.
  • PM-KISANscheme, announced in the interim Budget, released earlier this month will provide Rs 6,000 per year to small and marginal farmer families having combined land holding/ownership of upto 2 hectares. The amount will be given in3 installments of Rs 2,000 each.

 

• The Odisha government launched the boat ambulance serviceto help patients reach hospitals in remote areas cut off by rivers, at a cost of Rs 5.40 crore. The first boat ambulance was launched at Batighar in the Kendrapara district.
  • Six boat ambulances will add to the road fleet and will be part of the 108 ambulance service They would use boats to cross water bodies to the be picked up by 108 or 102 ambulance.

 

• Tamil Nadu Governor Banwarilal Purohitinaugurated the second Coast Guard district headquarters at Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu.
  • Tamil Nadu is the firststate in India to get a second Coast Guard district headquarters. The first district headquarters is Chennai.

 

• The 14th Agricultural Science Congress was organized by National Academy of Agricultural Sciences (NAAS)in collaboration with the Indian Council of Agricultural Research(ICAR) and Indian Agricultural Research Instituteat National Agricultural Science Complex (NASC) in New Delhi from 20^th to 23^rd February 2019.
  • The theme of the event was “Innovations for Agricultural Transformation” and it is central to the national complementary pledges of building a New Indiaand Doubling Farmers’ Income by 2022.

 

• Bihar has become the firststate to deploy specially-trained dogs to check smuggling of liquor which continues to take place inspite of total ban imposed in the state for the last 3 years. 
  • 20liquor-tracker dogs were trained rigorously for nine months in Hyderabad, Telangana.

 

INTERNATIONAL NEWS

• Thailandand the United States hosted the annual Cobra Gold military exercise, the biggest activity of its type in the Asia-Pacific region with 29 nations taking part as participants or observers.
  • Apart from the 2 countries, 7 countrieswho participated in the exercise were India,Singapore, Japan, China, Indonesia, Malaysia and South Korea. India participated in this exercise for the first time in the ‘Observer Plus’ category in 2016 alongside China.

 

SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY

• Iranlaunched a cruise missile from a submarine for the first time during ongoing annual military drill named “Velayat-97” in the Strait of Hormuz.
  • An image showing a green submarine on the surface of the water launching an orange missile was released by Fars news agencyand the other submarines are said to have the same capability.

 

APPOINTMENT

• India’s Mohd Mushtaque Ahmad was elected Vice-President of the Asian Hockey Federation(AHF)and Asima Ali was elected as theExecutive Committee member, for a 4-year term in Gifu, Japan.
  • Mushtaque Ahmad is currently serving as the President of Hockey India, while Asima Ali is the Vice-President of the national federation.

 

AWARDS

• The Asian Hockey Federation has honouredIndian skipper Manpreet Singh with the 2018 Player of the Year award. Women team’s striker Lalremsiami has bagged the Rising Player of The Year prize.

 

SPORTS

• Apurvi Chandela has won the gold medal in the women’s 10-metre air rifle event at the Dr Karni Singh Shooting Range in New Delhi. This is India’s first medal of the ISSF World Cup 2019.
  • She set a new world record by registering a score of 9 points in the final.
