தமிழக நிகழ்வுகள்

 

• தமிழகத்தின் இரண்டாவது கடலோர காவல்படை மாவட்ட தலைமையகம், “தூத்துக்குடியில்” அமைக்கப்பட்டு தமிழக ஆளுநரால் தொடங்கி வைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
  • இதன் மூலம் இரண்டு கடலோர காவல்படை மாவட்ட தலைமையகங்களை பெற்ற இந்தியாவின் முதல் மாநிலமாக தமிழ்நாடு விளங்குகிறது.
  • முதல் தமிழக கடலோர காவல்படை மாவட்ட தலைமையகம் சென்னையில் அமைந்துள்ளது.

 

 

இந்திய நிகழ்வுகள்

 

• மன்னார் வளைகுடா பகுதியில் கடல்பசுக்களை பாதுகாப்பதற்காக “கடற்புற்கள் வளர்ப்பு திட்டம்” என்ற திட்டம் தொடங்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
• குறிப்பு:
  • மன்னார் வளைகுடாவானது 2001 ஆம் ஆண்டில் யுனெஸ்கோவால் உயிர் கோள பாதுகாக்கப்பட்ட இடம் என அறிவிக்கப்பட்டது.
  • தாவரவியலாளர்களின் சொர்க்கம் என மன்னார் வளைகுடா அழைக்கப்படுவது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.

 

 

• பசுக்களை பாதுகாப்பதற்காக ஹிமாச்சலப் பிரதேச மாநில அரசானது “கௌ சேவா ஆயோக்” என்ற பசு நல அறக்கட்டளையை அமைத்துள்ளது.
  • இதன் தலைமையகம் சிம்லாவில் உள்ளது.

 

 

• பொருளாதாரத்தின் பின் தங்கிய இளைஞர்களுக்காக 100 நாட்கள் வேலைவாய்ப்பு வழங்குவதற்காக, மத்தியப் பிரதேச மாநில அரசானது “முக்கிய மந்திரி யுவ ஸ்வாபியன் யோஜனா” (Mukhyamantri Yuva Swabhiman Yojana) என்ற திட்டத்தை தொடங்கியுள்ளது.
  • இதன் பொருளாதாரத்தின் பின்தங்கிய இளைஞர்கள் 100 நாட்கள் வேலைவாய்ப்பு மூலம் 13,500 ரூபாய் பெற முடியும்.

 

 

உலக நிகழ்வுகள்

 

• 2015 ஆம் ஆண்டு ஏற்படுத்தப்பட்ட பாரிஸ் பருவநிலை மாற்றத்திற்கான ஒப்பந்தத்தை நடைமுறைப்படுத்துவதற்காக இந்திய அரசால் ஏற்படுத்தப்பட்ட சர்வதேச சோலார் அமைப்பின் 73வது நாடாக சவுதி அரேபியா இணைந்துள்ளது.
  • 72-வது நாடாக அர்ஜென்டினா சமீபத்தில் இணைந்தது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.
• குறிப்பு:
  • சர்வதேச சோலார் அமைப்பு 2015ல் உருவாக்கப்பட்டது. இதன் தலைமையகம் ஹரியானாவின் குருகிராமில் உள்ளது.

 

 

• இலங்கையில் வாழும் இந்தியர்களின் பொருளாதார மேம்பாட்டிற்கான இந்தியாவின் உதவியுடன் இலங்கையின் யாழ்பாணத்தில் தகவல் தொழில்நுட்ப பூங்கா அமையவுள்ளது.
  • இதற்காக இந்தியாவானது 25கோடி கடனுதவி வழங்க உள்ளது.

  • இலங்கைக்கான இந்தியாவின் உயர் ஆணையராக தரஞ்சித் சிங் உள்ளார்.

 

 

விளையாட்டு நிகழ்வுகள்

 

• ஆசிய ஹாக்கி சம்மேளனமானது (AHF – Asian Hockey Federation) அதன் துணைத் தலைவராக இந்தியாவின் மொஹத் முஷ்தெக் அகமது-வை (Mohd Mushtaque Ahmad) தேர்ந்தெடுத்துள்ளது.

 

 

அறிவியல் & தொழில்நுட்பம்

 

• மேற்கு வங்காளத்தின் கொல்கத்தாவில் உள்ள அறிவியல் நகரத்தில் “இந்தியாவின் முதல் Fulldome-3D திரையரங்கம்” (Fulldome 3D Digital Theatre) மத்திய கலாச்சார அமைச்சர் மகேஷ் சர்மா அவர்களால் தொடங்கி வைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

NATIONAL NEWS

• Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the Global Business Summitin New Delhi. He highlighted the role of his government’s policies in establishing a high growth rate and controlling inflation.
  • The government would provide conducive environment for start-ups and promote renewable sources of energy.

 

• Union Home Minister Rajnath Singhinaugurated ‘Waste to Wonder Park’ which houses the replicas of seven wonders of the world at Sarai Kale Khan, Delhi.
  • The replicas of all seven wonders of world has been built with eco-friendly, self sustainable material, and has its own solar and wind power generation.

 

• The government of Madhya Pradeshhas launched the Mukhyamantri Yuva Swabhiman Yojana to provide employment for youth. The scheme guarantees 100 days of employment every year to urban youths from economically weaker sections (EWS)
  • The youth would get Rs 4,000 stipend per month and total Rs 13,500 for the 100 days period would be provided.

 

• The Odishagovernment As part of its initiatives to empower women, launched the ‘Khushi‘ scheme to provide free sanitary napkins to school girls across the state at the cost of INR 466 crore in a period of 5 years.
  • Under the scheme, the state will provide free sanitary napkins to 17 lakh girls studying in Classes 6 to 12 in government and government-aided schools.

 

• The“National Conference on Logistics Policy: Context, Issues & The Way Forward”was held inNew Delhi. Union Minister of Commerce & Industry and Civil Aviation,Suresh Prabhu, addressed the first stakeholder consultation on the draft logistics policy.
  • He also launched the SAFAR Mobile Appwhich will help to gauge the actual issues faced by transporters on the road.

 

INTERNATIONAL NEWS

• Financial Action Task Force (FATF)condemned the Pulwamaterror attack in Kashmir,which led to death of 40 CRPF jawans and decided to keep Pakistan in the ‘grey’ list owing to continued funding of terrorist groups such as Jaish-e-Mohammad, Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jamat-ud-Dawa.

 

ECONOMY

• Zimbabwe’s central bank announced the discontinuation of its official currency, quasi-currency bond note officially pegged at parity with the S. dollarand launched a new currency called RTGS dollars, to resolve a long-term monetary crisis.
  • S. dollars to banks at a rate of 2.5 RTGSto the greenback.

 

APPOINTMENT

• Justice Uma Nath Singhtook the oath as the first lokayukta of Nagaland. He was formerly the Chief Justice of Meghalaya High Court. 

 

AWARDS

• Bollywood actress, Kareena Kapoor Khan is named as the brand ambassador of Swasth Immunised India, a year-long campaign initiated by Network18and Serum Institute of India which promotes immunisation of babies under two years of age.

• World Thinking Day : February 22
  • The World Thinking Dayis celebrated every year around the world on 22nd February by Girl Scouts and Girl Guides. The day is celebrated to appreciate the help and guidance of brothers and sisters around the world.
  • The theme of World Thinking Day 2019 is ‘Leadership’. The aim is to learn the different ways to be a leader and develop the power to bring the change a person wants to see in the world.
