இந்திய நிகழ்வுகள்

 

• தொழிலாளர்களின் பணியிட பாதுகாப்பு மற்றும் சுகாதாரத்தை மேம்படுத்துவதற்கான ‘சர்வதேச பூஜ்ஜிய நோக்கு மாநாடு’ (International vision zero conference) மும்பையில் நடைபெற்றது.
  • இம்மாநாட்டை இந்தியாவின் தொழிலாளர் மற்றும் வேலைவாய்ப்பு அமைச்சகம் மற்றும் ஜெர்மனியைச் சேர்ந்த சமூக விபத்து காப்பீடு அமைப்பு ஆகியவை இணைந்து நடத்தியுள்ளது.

 

 

• நான்காவது ‘விவசாய தலைமைத்துவ கூடுகை – 2019’ (Agri leadership summit 2019) ஹரியானாவின் சோனிபாட் மாவட்டத்தின் கானவுர் நகரில் நடைபெற்றது.
  • இம்மாநாட்டில் விவசாயிகளின் வருமானத்தை உயர்த்துவது குறித்தும், உற்பத்தியை பெருக்குவது குறித்தும் விவாதிக்கப்பட்டது.

 

 

• நீர்வழிப் போக்குவரத்துகளை சரியான முறையில் பயன்படுத்துவதை உறுதி செய்வதற்காக, லேடிஸ் (LADIS) என்ற புதிய தளத்தை, இந்திய உள்நாட்டு நீர்வழி ஆணையம் (Inland Waterway Authority of India) அறிமுகப்படுத்தியுள்ளது.

உலக நிகழ்வுகள்

 

• நிலவினைப் பற்றிய ஆய்விற்காக, பெரேஷீட் (Beresheet) எனப்படும் ஆளில்லா விண்கலத்தை இஸ்ரேல் நாடானது, பால்கன் – 09 என்ற இராக்கெட் மூலம் நிலவில் தரையிறக்க உள்ளது.

 

 

விளையாட்டு நிகழ்வுகள்

 

• பல்கேரியாவில் நடைபெற்ற ஸ்டெரன்ஜா சர்வதேச குத்துச்சண்டைப் போட்டியில் (Strandja Memorial Tournament) இந்தியாவின் நிகாத் ஸ்ரீன் (Nikhat Zareen) மகளிர் 51 கிலோ எடைப்பிரிவிலும், மீனா குமாரி தேவி, மகளிர் 54 கிலோ எடைப்பிரிவிலும் தங்கம் வென்றுள்ளனர்.
  • மகளிர் 48 கிலோ எடைப்பிரிவில் இந்தியாவின் மஞ்சுராணி வெள்ளிப் பதக்கம் வென்றுள்ளார்.

 

 

அறிவியல் & தொழில்நுட்பம்

 

• AntBot என்ற பெயரில் ஜி.பி.எஸ். உதவியில்லாமல் நடமாடும் உலகின் முதல் ரோபோட்டை, பிரெஞ்சு நாட்டைச் சேர்ந்த CNRS (National Centre for Scientific Research) அமைப்பின் ஆராய்ச்சியாளர்கள் உருவாக்கியுள்ளனர்.

 

 

விருதுகள்

 

• அரிய சேவை செய்ததற்காக ஸ்பெயின் நாட்டில் வழங்கப்படும் அந்நாட்டின் மிக உயரிய விருதான ‘கிராண்ட் கிராஸ்’ (Grand Cross of order of civil merit) விருது இந்தியாவின் வெளியுறவுத்துறை அமைச்சர் சுஷ்மா சுவராஜ்-க்கு வழங்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
  • கடந்த 2015ல் நோபாளத்தில் ஏற்பட்ட நிலநடுக்கத்தின் போது ஆபத்தான இடத்தில் இருந்த ஸ்பெயின் நாட்டின் 71 பேரை இந்திய அரசு காப்பாற்றியதற்கு நன்றி தெரிவிக்கும் வகையில் இவ்விருது வழங்கப்பட்டது.

  • இந்திய வானியல் சங்கம் 1972ல் வைணு பாப்பு என்பவரால் உருவாக்கப்பட்டது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.

• உலக சமூக நீதி தினம் – பிப்ரவரி 20 (World Day of Social Justice)
  • ஐக்கிய நாடுகளின் அமைப்பு, ஒவ்வொரு ஆண்டும் பிப்ரவரி 20ம் தேதி உலக சமூக நீதி தினமாக கடைபிடிக்கப்பட்டு வருகிறது.
  • இத்தினமானது முதன் முதலில் 2009ல் கடைபிடிக்கப்பட்டது.
  • 2019ம் ஆண்டின் உலக சமூக நீதி தின மையக்கருத்து: ‘நீங்கள் அமைதி மற்றும் மேம்பாட்டை விரும்பினால், சமூக நீதிக்கான வேலை பாருங்கள்’ (If you want peace and Development, work for Social Justice) என்பதாகும்.

• Suresh Prabhu, Union Minister of Commerce & Industry and Civil Aviation launched SWAYATT in New Delhi.
  • SWAYATT-an initiative to encourage Start-ups, Women and Youth Advantage Through eTransactions on Government e-Marketplace (GeM).

 

• The Human Resource Development (HRD) Ministry launched Operation Digital Board on the lines of Operation Blackboard to provide better digital education in school.
  • The government has aimed at equipping 9 lakh classrooms in schools and colleges across the country (7 lakh classrooms of 9th, 10th and 11th standards and 2 lakh classrooms of colleges and Universities) with digital facilities for teaching by 2022.

 

• World Corporate Social Responsibility Congress (World CSR Congress 2019) is one of the admired meetings which promote Entrepreneurship, Social Responsibility, Sustainability and Social Development.

• A 3 day ‘International Vision Zero Conference’ was inaugurated in Mumbai, Maharashtra to promote occupational safety and health.
  • ‘Vision Zero’ is based on four principles: Life is non-negotiable, Humans are fallible, Limits of tolerance defined by physical resistance of humans, People are entitled to safe transport and safe workplaces.

 

• ‘KALIA Chhatra Bruti’ scholarship for the children of farmers benefited under the KALIA scheme was launched by the Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik in Bhubaneshwar, Odisha.
  • It aims at providing financial assistance for technical and professional education to farmers’ children by creating provision for the State government to bear all expenses involved in various levels of education, such as course fee, hostel fee, mess fee and so on.

 

INTERNATIONAL NEWS

 

• Saudi Arabia signed the framework agreement of the International Solar Alliance (ISA) becoming the73rd country to join the India-led renewable energy organisation which now has a total of 122 members.
  • ISA was unveiled by PM Narendra Modi and former French President Francois Hollande in 2015.

 

APPOINTMENT

 

• G C Anupama has been elected president of the Astronomical Society of India (ASI), becoming the first woman to head the prime association of professional astronomers in the country.
  • Astronomical Society of India was Established in 1972.

 

AWARDS

 

• The 34-year-old, Sunil Chhetri, was awarded India’s first-ever “Football Ratna” by Football Delhi president Shaji Prabhakaran, former player and administrator at the All India Football Federation (AIFF) and FIFA.
  • He was also named as the 6th Indian Footballer in the elite Padma Shri

 

SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY

 

• A tele-law mobile application ‘Nyaya Bandhu’ was launched by the Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad.
  • It is pro bono legal service which is designed to connect practising lawyers and the registered eligible beneficiaries in a hassle-free manner.

 

SPORTS

 

• 70th International Boxing Tournament Strandja 2019, hosted by European Boxing Confederation (EUBC) was held at Sofia, Bulgaria, followed by India at 2nd rank with 7 medals) and USA at 3rd with 8 medals.
  • Former junior world champion, Nikhat Zareen (Women’s 51 KG) and Meena Kumari Devi (Women’s 54 KG), became the first set of Indian Women Boxers to clinch Gold medals in Sofia.
