• 15வது நிதி ஆணையமானது பாதுகாப்பு மற்றும் உள்நாட்டு பாதுகாப்பிற்கு நிதியளிப்பதற்கான ஒரு தனிப்பட்ட முறையின் அவசியத்தை ஆராய்வதற்காக 5 உறுப்பினர்களை கொண்ட ஒரு குழுவை அமைத்துள்ளது.
  • இந்த குழுவானது 15வது நிதி ஆணையத்தின் தலைவரான நந்த் கிஷோர் சிங் என்பவரால் தலைமை தாங்கப்பட இருக்கின்றது.

 

 

• பஞ்சாப் மாநிலக் காவல்துறைப் பொது இயக்குநர் ‘பாராட்டு மற்றும் பரிந்துரை’ என்ற ஒரு திட்டத்தைப் பஞ்சாபில் அறிமுகப்படுத்தியுள்ளார்.
  • இது சிறப்பாகப் பணிபுரியும் காவல்துறை அதிகாரிகளின் நம்பிக்கையை அதிகரிப்பதை நோக்கமாகக் கொண்டுள்ளது. சிறப்பாகப் பணியாற்றும் காவல் துறையினருக்கு ஒவ்வொரு மாதமும் விருதுகள் வழங்கப்பட இருக்கின்றன.

• IFAD ன் 43வது நிர்வாகக் குழு கூட்டமானது இத்தாலியின் ரோம் நகரில் “2030 ஆம் ஆண்டிற்குள் பட்டினியை முடிவுக்குக் கொண்டு வருவதற்காக நீடித்த உணவு முறைகளில் முதலீடு செய்தல்” என்ற தலைப்பில் நடத்தப்பட்டது.
  • வேளாண் மேம்பாட்டிற்கான சர்வதேச நிதியமானது (International Fund for Agricultural Development – IFAD) காலநிலை மாற்ற நிகழ்வுகளும் விவசாயத்தின் மீதான அவற்றின் தாக்கங்களும் 2030 ஆம் ஆண்டிற்குள் சுமார் 100 மில்லியன் மக்களை வறுமை நிலைக்குள் தள்ளும் என்று கூறியுள்ளளது.

 

 

• இந்திய விமானப் படை அதிகாரியின் தலைமையில் “வான் பாதுகாப்புக் கட்டுப்பாட்டகம்” (Air Defence Command – ADC) என்று அழைக்கப்படும் முதலாவது ஒருங்கிணைந்த முப்படைக் கட்டுப்பாட்டகத்தை நிறுவ இருப்பதாக இந்திய முப்படைத் தலைமைத் தளபதி பிபின் ராவத் அறிவித்துள்ளார்.

  • இந்தத் திருவிழாவானது “இந்தியாவின் கரிம வளச் சந்தைக்கான சாத்தியக் கூற்றை ஊக்கப்படுத்து” என்ற கருப்பொருளின் கீழ் நடைபெற இருக்கின்றது.

NATIONAL NEWS

• The ambitious Soil Health Card Scheme is completing its five years on 19 February 2020. The scheme was launched in 2015 to assess the nutrient status of every farm holding in the country.
  • The objectives of the scheme are to issue Soil Health Cards to farmers every two years so as to provide a basis to address nutritional deficiencies in fertilization practices.

• Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan launched “Yodhav” (Warrior) mobile app (application) at Kochi, Kerala. Through this app, the public can inform police about drug abuse and its distribution.

• On February 18, 2020, 50-metre high foundation stone for a lighthouse was laid at Dhanushkodi in Rameswaram. This is the fifth lighthouse in the region.
  • The light house is to be built at a cost of Rs 8 crore rupees. The lighthouse is to be located opposite to the old church .

• India will host 2020 Junior Men’s World Cup. The International Hockey Federation (FIH) announced this at Lausanne in Switzerland.
  • This is the second time that India will be hosting the prestigious tournament, having staged it in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh in 2016.
