• நாடு முழுவதும் 4,499 கி.மீ. தூரத்துக்கு 31 புதிய இரட்டை பாதை திட்டப்பணிகளுக்கான ஆய்வுப் பணி (இடம் கணக்கெடுப்பு) மேற்கொள்ள ரயில்வே வாரியம் ஒப்புதல் அளித்துள்ளது.
  • இதில், தமிழகத்தில் சென்னை கடற்கரை-எழும்பூர் (4.3 கி.மீ), காட்பாடி-விழுப்புரம் (160.10 கி.மீ.) உள்பட 4 இரட்டைப்பாதை திட்டங்களுக்கான ஆய்வுப் பணி நடைபெறவுள்ளது. இதற்காக ரூ.4 கோடியே 86 லட்சத்து 76 ஆயிரம் நிதி ஒதுக்கீடு செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளது.
  • செய்தி துளிகள்
    • நாடு முழுவதும் தற்போது 3,500 ரயில்கள், 4,600 முன்பதிவில்லாத ரயில்கள், 5,000 மின்சார ரயில்கள் என்று 13,100 ரயில்கள் தினசரி இயக்கப்படுகின்றன.
    • இந்த ரயில்களில் நாள்தோறும் சராசரியாக40 கோடி பேர் பயணம் செய்கின்றனர்.

 

 

• ராணுவத்தில் ஆண்களுக்கு அளிக்கப்பட்டுள்ள உரிமைகள் அனைத்தும் பெண்களுக்கும் வழங்கப்பட வேண்டுமென்று உச்சநீதிமன்றம் தீர்ப்பளித்தது.
  • ராணுவத்தில் சேவையாற்றி வரும் பெண்களை 3 மாதங்களுக்குள் நிரந்தரமாக்க வேண்டும் என்றும் மத்திய அரசுக்கு உச்சநீதிமன்றம் கெடு விதித்துள்ளது.

    • ராணுவத்தில் கடந்த 1992-ஆம் ஆண்டு முதல் பெண்கள் சேர்க்கப்பட்டு வருகின்றனர்.

பொருளாதார நிகழ்வுகள்

 

• நாட்டில் கிராம பொருளாதாரத்தை வலுப்படுத்த மத்திய அரசு பல்வேறு நடவடிக்கைகளை மேற்கொண்டு வருகிறது. வேளாண் துறைக்கு ரூ.25 லட்சம் கோடி செலவிடப்படும் என்ற அறிவிப்பையும் மத்திய அரசு வெளியிட்டுள்ளது என்று குடியரசுத் தலைவர் ராம்நாத் கோவிந்த் தெரிவித்தார்.
  • தாத்ரா-நாகர்ஹவேலி மற்றும் டாமன்-டையூ யூனியன் பிரதேசத்தின் டாமன் நகருக்கு ஒரு நாள் பயணமாக பிப்ரவரி 18 அன்று வருகை தந்த குடியரசுத் தலைவர் ராம்நாத் கோவிந்த், அங்கு புதிதாக கட்டப்பட்ட 7 சுகாதார மையங்களை திறந்து வைத்தார். மேலும் பல வளர்ச்சித் திட்டங்களையும் தொடங்கி வைத்த அவர், 15 சுகாதார மையங்களுக்கான கட்டுமானப் பணிகளுக்கு அடிக்கல் நாட்டினார்.

 

 

• பொருளாதார வளர்ச்சிக்கான சீர்திருத்தங்களை மத்திய அரசு தொடர்ந்து மேற்கொள்ள வேண்டும் என்று இந்திய ரிசர்வ் வங்கி (ஆர்பிஐ) ஆளுநர் சக்திகாந்த தாஸ் தெரிவித்தார்.
  • தொழிற்சாலைகளில் காணப்பட்ட அதிக கடன் ஆகியவையே நாட்டின் பொருளாதார மந்த நிலைக்கு முக்கியக் காரணங்கள்.
  • 2020-21 ஆம் நிதியாண்டிலிருந்து நாட்டின் பொருளாதார வளர்ச்சி சீரடையத் தொடங்கும். 2020-21 ஆம் நிதியாண்டில் பொருளாதார வளர்ச்சி 6 சதவீதமாக இருக்கும் என்று ஆர்பிஐ கணித்துள்ளது என்றார் சக்திகாந்த தாஸ்.

• 2020-ஆம் ஆண்டுக்கான இந்தியாவின் பொருளாதார வளர்ச்சி மதிப்பீட்டை சர்வதேச தரக்குறியீட்டு நிறுவனமான மூடிஸ் இன்வெஸ்டாஸ் சர்வீஸ்4 சதவீதமாக குறைத்துள்ளது.
  • கடந்த இரண்டு ஆண்டுகளுக்கும் மேலாக இந்தியாவின் பொருளாதார வளர்ச்சி வேகமாக வீழ்ச்சியடைந்து வருகிறது. இந்த நிலையில் நடப்பு காலாண்டில் இந்தியப் பொருளாதாரம் சரிவிலிருந்து மீளத் தொடங்கும் என எதிர்பார்க்கப்படுகிறது.
  • நடப்பு 2020-இல் ஜி-20 நாடுகளின் பொருளாதாரம் ஒட்டுமொத்த அளவில்4 சதவீத வளர்ச்சி காணும் என தற்போது எதிர்பார்க்கப்படுகிறது. இது, 2021-இல் 2.8 சதவீதமாக அதிகரிக்கும்.
