• இந்திய உச்ச நீதிமன்றமானது சரத்து 16 (4)ன் கீழ் இடஒதுக்கீடானது ஒருவர் அரசாங்கப் பணியில் சேரும் போது மட்டுமே வழங்க முடியும் என்றும் பதவி உயர்வுகளில் இடஒதுக்கீடு வழங்க முடியாது என்ற வரலாற்றுச் சிறப்புமிக்க தீர்ப்பை வழங்கியுள்ளது.

• மீன்வளத் துறையில் இந்தியாவுக்கும் ஐஸ்லாந்துக்கும் இடையில் கையெழுத்திடப்பட்ட புரிந்துணர்வு ஒப்பந்தத்திற்கு மத்திய அமைச்சரவை ஒப்புதல் அளித்தது.
  • உள்நாட்டு மீன்வளத்தை மேம்படுத்துவதற்காக 2019 செப்டம்பரில் நாடுகள் ஒப்பந்தங்களில் கையெழுத்திட்டன.
  • செய்தி துளிகள்:
    • இந்த ஒப்பந்தம் இந்தியாவுக்கும் ஐஸ்லாந்துக்கும் இடையிலான இருதரப்பு ஒத்துழைப்பை பலப்படுத்துகிறது.
    • பொருளாதார கணக்கெடுப்பு 2020 இன் படி, விவசாயம் மற்றும் வனவியல் ஆகியவற்றுடன் இந்தியாவின் மொத்த உள்நாட்டு உற்பத்தியில்58% மீன்வள பங்களிப்பு செய்கிறது. 2018-19ஆம் ஆண்டிற்கான கடல் பொருட்களின் ஏற்றுமதி 13.92 லட்சம் டன்.

 

 

• இந்தியாவிற்கும் இலங்கைக்கும் இடையில் கையெழுத்திடப்பட்ட DTAA (Double Taxation Avoidance Agreement) (இரட்டை வரிவிதிப்பு தவிர்ப்பு ஒப்பந்தம்) திருத்துவதற்கான நெறிமுறைக்கு மத்திய அமைச்சரவை ஒப்புதல் அளித்தது.
  • நிதி ஏய்ப்பு தடுப்பு தொடர்பாக DTAA திருத்தப்பட வேண்டும்.

 

 

• சியாரா புயல் வடக்கு ஐரோப்பாவைத் தாக்கிய ஒரு மிகப்பெரிய புயலாகும். இந்தப் புயலானது இப்பகுதியில் போக்குவரத்திற்கும் பொது நிகழ்வுகளுக்கும் இடையூறு விளைவிக்கின்றது.
  • ஐக்கிய இராஜ்ஜியத்தில் ‘சியாரா’ என்ற பெயரிடப்பட்ட இந்தப் பயுலானது அயர்லாந்து, பிரான்சு, பெல்ஜியம், நெதர்லாந்து, சுவிட்சர்லாந்து மற்றும் ஜெர்மனி ஆகிய நாடுகளைத் தாக்கும் என்று எதிர்பார்க்கப்படுகின்றது.

    • ஜெர்மனியில் இது ‘சபின்’ என்று குறிப்பிடப்படுகின்றது.

• ‘அஜயா வாரியர் – 2020’ என்ற ஒரு கூட்டு இராணுவப் பயிற்சியின் ஐந்தாவது பதிப்பானது ஐக்கிய இராஜ்ஜியத்தின் சாலிஸ்பரி சமவெளியில் நடத்தப்பட இருக்கின்றது.
  • அஜயா வாரியர் ஆனது இந்தியாவிற்கும், இங்கிலாந்திற்கும் இடையே நடத்தப்படும் ஒரு கூட்டு இராணுவப் பயிற்சியாகும்.
  • இது முதல் முறையாக 2013 ஆம் ஆண்டில் நடத்தப்பட்டது.

    • நகர்ப்புற மற்றம் நகர்ப் புறங்களை ஒட்டியுள்ள பகுதிகளில் பயங்கரவாத எதிர்ப்பு நடவடிக்கைக்கு முக்கியத்துவம் அளித்து, படைப் பிரிவு அளவிலான கூட்டு பயிற்சியை நடத்துவதே இந்தப் பயிற்சியின் நோக்கமாகும்.

  • நாட்டில் பணப் பரிமாற்றங்களின் டிஜிட்டல் மயமாக்கத்தைக் கண்காணிப்பதே இந்தக் குறியீட்டு உருவாக்கத்தின் முக்கிய நோக்கமாகும்.

NATIONAL NEWS

• On February 12, 2020 the Union Cabinet approved the Memorandum of Understanding signed between India and Iceland in the field of fisheries. The countries had signed agreements in September 2019, to develop inland fisheries.

    • According to the Economic Survey 2020, fisheries contribute to 6.58% of India’s GDP along with agriculture and forestry.
    • GoI in 2018-19 allocated Rs 7,522 crores of rupees towards Fisheries and Aquaculture Development Fund (FIDF).

 

 

• The State of the World’s Children Report 2019 stated more than 8 lakhs under 5 Mortality Rate in India. The report was released by the United Nations Children’s Fund is a United Nations agency (UNICEF).
  • The report has ranked countries in the order of ‘highest burden of death among children of under-5’ to the ‘lowest burden Of death among children Of under-5’.Z

• The US removed India from its list of developing countries that are exempt from investigations into whether they harm American industry with unfairly subsidised exports.
  • The US removed India from the list on account of it being a G-20 member and having a share of 0.5% or more of world trade.

• World-famous Ski destination Gulmarg is all set to host a five-day national winter games event from 7th March under the banner of Khelo India.
