• நாட்டின் தொழில்துறை பயிற்சி நிறுவனங்களை மேம்படுத்தும் நோக்கத்தில் மத்திய அரசின் திறன் மேம்பாடு மற்றும் தொழில் முனைவுத் திறன் அமைச்சகத்தின் சார்பில் ‘ஸ்ட்ரைவ்’ (Skills Training for Industrial Value Enhancement) திட்டம் அறிமுகப்படுத்தப்பட்டது.
  • தொழில்துறை நிறுவனப் பணிகளுக்கான பயிற்சியை வழங்கி அதன் மூலம் நிறுவனங்களின் மதிப்பை உயர்த்துவதே இந்தத் திட்டத்தின் நோக்கமாகும்.
  • உலக வங்கியின் நிதியுதவியுடன் இந்தத் திட்டம் செயல்படுத்தப்படுகிறது.
  • செய்தி துளிகள்
    • இந்தப் பயிற்சி முதல் மூன்று மாதங்களுக்கு அம்பத்தூர் தொழிற்பேட்டையில் உள்ள ‘அய்மா’ பயிற்சி மையத்தில் ரூ.2,500 (மாதந்தோறும்) ஊக்கத் தொகையுடன் வழங்கப்படும்.
    • இதில் 16 முதல் 30 வயது வரை உள்ள எட்டாம் வகுப்பு மற்றும் அதற்கு மேல் படித்த வேலைவாய்ப்பற்ற இளைஞர்கள் பங்கேற்கலாம்.

 

 

• ஜம்மு-காஷ்மீர், உஜ் பல்நோக்கு (தேசிய) திட்டத்திற்கு வடகிழக்கு வளர்ச்சி அமைச்சர் டாக்டர் ஜிதேந்திர சிங் தலைமை தாங்கினார். இந்த கூட்டத்தில் ஜல் சக்தி அமைச்சகம், மின் அமைச்சகம் மற்றும் பஞ்சாப் மாநில அரசின் பிற அதிகாரிகள் கலந்து கொண்டனர்.
  • சிந்து நீர் ஒப்பந்தத்தின் (Indus-Water Treaty)) கீழ் இந்தியாவின் உரிமைகளை முழுமையாகப் பயன்படுத்துவதற்காக இந்த கூட்டம் நடைபெற்றது.
  • ரவி நதியின் துணை நதியான உஜ் ஆற்றின் குறுக்கே இந்த திட்டம் கட்டப்பட உள்ளது.

    • சிந்து-நீர் ஒப்பந்தம் இந்தியாவிற்கும் பாகிஸ்தானுக்கும் இடையில் 1960 ல் கையெழுத்தானது. இந்த ஒப்பந்தத்தில் கையெழுத்திட்டது உலக வங்கியால் தரகு செய்யப்பட்டது.
    • ஒப்பந்தத்தின் படி, கிழக்கு நதிகளான ரவி, பியாஸ் மற்றும் சட்லெஜ் ஆகியவற்றின் நீர் இந்தியாவுக்கு வழங்கப்பட்டது மற்றும் மேற்கு நதிகளான சிந்து, செனாப் மற்றும் ஜீலம் ஆகியவற்றில் பாயும் நீர் மீதான கட்டுப்பாடு பாகிஸ்தானுக்கு வழங்கப்பட்டது.

  • நியூஸிலாந்துக்கு எதிரான டி20 தொடரில் 5-0 என கைப்பற்றியது இந்தியா. இதில் ராகுல் முக்கிய பங்கு வகித்தார். 2 அரைசதங்கள் உள்பட 224 ரன்களை குவித்தார் அவர்.
  • இதன் மூலம் 823 புள்ளிகளுடன் இரண்டாவது இடத்துக்கு முன்னேறியுள்ளார்.

    • ராகுலின் முதல் தரத் துடுப்பாட்டம் ஆஸ்திரேலிய அணிக்கு எதிராக மெல்பேர்ணில் நடந்த 2014-15 தேர்வுத் தொடராகும். சிட்னியில் நடந்த இரண்டாவது தேர்வு ஆட்டத்தில் 110 ஓட்டங்கள் எடுத்தார். 2016 ஆம் ஆண்டில் சிம்பாப்வே, அராரே விளையாட்டு சங்கம் மைதானத்தில் நடைபெற்ற சிம்பாப்வே துடுப்பாட்ட அணிக்கு எதிரான ஒருநாள் பன்னாட்டுத் துடுப்பாட்டப் போட்டியில் அறிமுகமானார்.

• The Andhra Pradesh Government has initiated a doorstep pension delivery scheme across the state, under which, various welfare pensions are being delivered at the doorstep of the pensioners. The “YSR Pension Kanuka” initiative to end the struggles of old people who find it difficult to go to the pension office.
  • Also, the age for old age pensioners (OAP) has been reduced from 65 to 60 years.

  • Madhya Pradesh Minister for Women and Child Development Imarti Devi and Principal Secretary Anupam Rajan will receive the award. Indore district has also bagged the first place for better performance of the scheme.

• Noted Hindi poet-novelist and Sahitya Akademi honouree Vinod Kumar Shukla has bagged the inaugural Mathrubhumi Book of the Year award for his translated book “Blue Is Like Blue”. The stories in “Blue Is Like Blue”, translated into English by Arvind Krishna Merotra and Sara Rai.
  • The award, given to the best fictional work released in the previous year, carries a cash prize of Rs 5 lakh, a plaque designed by Riyas Komu and a certificate.
