• “ஆசிரியர் கல்வியின் பயணம்: உள்ளுர் முதல் உலகம்” “Journey of Teacher Education : Local to Global” என்ற தலைப்பில் 2 நாள் சர்வதேச மாநாட்டை புதுடில்லியில் மத்திய மனிதவள மேம்பாட்டு அமைச்சர் ஸ்ரீ ரமேஷ் போக்ரியால் ‘நிஷாங்க்’ திறந்து வைத்தார்.
  • இது 1995 இல் (ஆகஸ்ட் 17) நிறுவப்பட்ட வெள்ளி விழா கொண்டாட்டத்தின் ஒரு பகுதியாக தேசிய ஆசிரியர் கல்வி கவுன்சில் (NCTE) ஏற்பாடு செய்தது.

 

 

• மணிப்பூரின் முதலமைச்சர் என்.பிரேன் சிங் உள்கட்டமைப்பு, தரமான கல்வி மற்றும் அரசு பள்ளிகளின் ஒட்டுமொத்த முன்னேற்றத்தை மேம்படுத்தும் நோக்கத்துடன் “பள்ளி ஃபகதாபா” (கல்வியை சிறந்ததாக்குதல்) – “School Fagadaba” திட்டத்தை தொடங்கினார்.

 

 

• மகாராஷ்டிரா மாநிலம், மும்பையிலுள்ள ஆளுநர் மாளிகையில், ‘சுரங்கப்பாதை அருங்காட்சியத்தை’ ஞாயிற்றுக்கிழமை குடியரசுத் தலைவர் ராம்நாத் கோவிந்த் மும்பையிலுள்ள ஆளுநர் மாளிகையில், ஆங்கிலேயர் காலத்தில் அமைக்கப்பட்ட 150 மீட்டர் நீளமுள்ள சுரங்கப் பாதை கடந்த மூன்றாண்டுகளுக்கு முன் கண்டறியப்பட்டது.

 

 

• மனித வள மேம்பாட்டு அமைச்சகம் 2019 ஆம் ஆண்டு ஆகஸ்ட் 22 ஆம் தேதி நிஷ்டா Nishtha (National Initiative on School Teachers Head Holistic Advancement) என்ற பெயரில் ஆசிரியர் பயிற்சிக்கான உலகின் மிகப்பெரிய திட்டத்தை தொடங்கவுள்ளது என்பது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.

 

 

சர்வதேச நிகழ்வுகள்

 

• காலநிலை மாற்றம் குறித்த 2019 ஆம் ஆண்டு பேசிக் – BASIC (பிரேசில், தென்னாப்பிரிக்கா, இந்தியா மற்றும் சீனா) அமைச்சரவைக் கூட்டத்தின் 28 வது அமர்வு 2019 ஆகஸ்ட் 14 முதல் 16 வரை பிரேசிலின் சாவ் பாலோவில் நடைபெற்றது. மத்திய சுற்றுச்சூழல், வன மற்றும் காலநிலை மாற்ற அமைச்சர் ஸ்ரீ பிரகாஷ் ஜவடேகர் பிரதிநிதித்துவப்படுத்தினார் இந்த சந்திப்புக்கு இந்தியா.
  • இது 2019 டிசம்பர் 2 முதல் 13 வரை சிலியின் சாண்டியாகோவில் நடைபெறவுள்ள ஐக்கிய நாடுகளின் காலநிலை மாற்றத்திற்கான கட்டமைப்பின் (UNICEF) கட்சிகளின் மாநாடு (சிஓபி-25) கூட்டத்திற்கு முன்னால் வருகிறது.

 

 

விளையாட்டுச் செய்திகள்

 

• இங்கிலாந்தில் நடைபெற்ற தொடக்க டி 20 உடல் ஊனமுற்றோர் உலக கிரிக்கெட் தொடர் 2019 ஐ இந்தியா வென்றுள்ளது. இறுதிப் போட்டியில் இங்கிலாந்து அணியை 36 ரன்கள் வித்தியாசத்தில் வீழ்த்தி இந்தியா பட்டத்தை வென்றது. 6 நாடுகள் கொண்ட இந்த போட்டியை இங்கிலாந்து மற்றும் வேல்ஸ் கிரிக்கெட் வாரியம் ஏற்பாடு செய்தன.

 

 

• கஜகஸ்தானில் நடைபெற்ற 12 வயதுக்குட்பட்ட ஆசிய டென்னிஸ் அணி சாம்பியன்ஷிப்பில் இந்தியா தங்கப்பதக்கம் வென்றுள்ளது. இந்திய அணியில் மனஸ் தம்மே, அர்னவ் பாப்ராகர் மற்றும் தமிழ்நாட்டின் பிரணவ் ரெதின் ஆகியோர் இருந்தனர்.

 

 

• இந்திய ஸ்ப்ரிண்டர்களான ஹிமா தாஸ் மற்றும் முகமத அனஸ் ஆகியோர் தங்கப் பதக்கத்தையும், நிர்மல் டாம் 300 மீட்டர் ஓட்டப்பந்தயத்தில் வெண்கலப் பதக்கத்தையும் வென்றனர். இந்த நிகழ்வு செக் குடியரசில் நடைபெற்றது.

NATIONAL NEWS

• Union Minister of Human Resource Development Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’today inaugurated the International Conference titled “Journey of Teacher Education: Local to Global” in New Delhi.

 

 

• Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh on Saturday launched a scheme to improve the infrastructure of government schools in the state.
  • Launching the “School Fagadaba” (Make education better) scheme, Singh said the objective was to ensure better infrastructure, quality education and overall improvement of government schools to make them model schools.

 

 

• President Ram Nath Kovind on Sunday inaugurated the underground Bunker Museum at Raj Bhavan in Mumbai.
  • The 15,000 square feet underground bunker museum has virtual reality booths in which visitors can “time travel” to the 19th century, a state government official said.

 

 

• On August 22, the MHRD will launch the world’s biggest project for teacher training called NISHTHA (National Initiative on School Teachers Head Holistic Advancement), under which more than 42 lakh teachers will be trained, MHRD, reported.

 

 

INTERNATIONAL NEWS

• The 28^thsession of BASIC (Brazil, South Africa, India, and China) Ministerial meeting 2019 on Climate Change was held in Sao Paulo, Brazil from 14 – 16  August 2019. Union Minister of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Shri Prakash Javadekar represented India for this meeting. 

 

 

SPORTS

• The T20 Physical Disability World Cricket Series held in England, where India beat Pakistan by eight wickets in the concluding round-robin league match to becomes the number one team, This Match was organized by the England & Wales Cricket Board.

 

 

• In theUnder- 12 Asian Tennis Team Championship 2019 held in  Kazakhstan,  India clinched the gold medal by defeated Chinese Taipei  2-1 in the summit clash.
  • India won both the singles matches but lost the doubles match. Manas Dhamme and Tamil Nadu’s Pranav Rethin won their singles matches.

 

 

• Top Indian sprinters Hima Das and Mohammad Anas have won a gold each in 300m races at the Athleticky Mitink Reiter event in Czech Republic.
  • While Hima won the gold in women’s event and, Mohammad Anas claimed the gold metal in men’s category.
