• கேரளா மற்றும் தமிழ்நாடு இடையே முல்லைப் பெரியாறு மற்றும் ஆழியாறு உள்ளிட்ட அணைகளின், வெள்ள நீர் வெளியேற்றத்தை ஒருங்கிணைக்க மத்திய நீர்வள ஆணையத்தின் தலைவர் ‘நரேந்திர குமார்’ தலைமையில் மத்திய ஒருங்கிணைப்பு குழு அமைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

• 72வது சுதந்திர தினத்தை முன்னிட்டு தெலுங்கானா மாநிலம் மூன்று புதிய திட்டங்களை அறிமுகப்படுத்தியுள்ளது.
  • ரைத்து பீமா திட்டம் – விவசாயிகளுக்கு இலவச காப்பீடு திட்டம். இத்திட்டம் 2016ம் ஆண்டில் தொடங்கப்பட்ட பசல் பீமா யோஜனா திட்டத்தின் கீழ் செயல்படுத்தப்படுகிறது.
  • கந்தி வெலுகு என்ற கண் பராமரிப்பு திட்டம்(அனைத்து குடிமக்களுக்கும் இலவச கண் பரிசோதனை)
    3.பொருளாதார ஆதரவு திட்டம் – பின் தங்கிய வகுப்பினர்களுக்கு பொருளாதார ஆதரவு வழங்கும் திட்டம்

 

 

• இராஜஸ்தான் மாநில அரசு செப்டம்பர் மாதத்தை ஊட்டச்சத்து மாதம் ஆக(Month of Nutrition) கடைபிடிக்க முடிவு செய்துள்ளது.
  • இந்த ஊட்டச்சத்து மாத திட்டத்தின் மூலம் 2018 செப்டம்பர் மாதம் முதல் இராஜஸ்தான் மாநிலம் அரசு பள்ளிகளில் 1 முதல் 8வரை பயிலும் மாணவர்களுக்கு தினமும் பால் வழங்க உள்ளது.

 

• பெண்களின் நலன்சார்ந்த திட்டத்தின் கீழ் பயனாளிகள் பயன் பெறும் வகையில், மேற்க வங்காள மாநில அரசு அறிமுகப்படுத்திய “கன்னியாஸ்ரீ பிரகல்பா திட்டத்தில்” (Kanyashree Prakalpa Scheme) பயன் பெறும் பயனாளிகளின் குடும்ப வருமான உச்ச வரம்பை நீக்கியுள்ளது.(West Bengal Government removed family income ceiling)
• குறிப்பு (கன்னிய ஸ்ரீ பிரகல்பா திட்டம்)
  • பொருளாதாரத்தில் பின்தங்கிய குடும்பங்களில் உள்ள பெண்களின் வாழ்க்கை தரத்தை உயர்த்துவதற்காக மேற்கு வங்காள மாநில அரசு மார்ச் 8, 2013 ஆம் ஆண்டு இத்திட்டம் தொடங்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
  • இத்திட்டத்தின் மூலம், மாணவிகளுக்கு,
  • 8 ஆம் வகுப்பு முதல் 12-ஆம் வகுப்பு வரை ஆண்டு தோறும் ரூபாய் 750-ம், அம் மாணவியின் மேற்படிப்புக்கு ரூபாய் 25,000-ம் வழங்கும்.

 

 

உலக நிகழ்வுகள்

 

• பூமியில் இருந்து பார்வைக்கு மறைவாக உள்ள நிலவின் மற்றொரு பக்கத்தை ஆய்வு செய்வதற்காக சீன நாடானது Change – 4 என்ற திட்டத்தின் கீழ் இந்த ஆண்டு டிசம்பரில் செயற்கைகோளை அனுப்ப திட்டமிட்டுள்ளது.
  • 2018 – ஆம் ஆண்டிற்கான உலக தத்துவ காங்கிரஸ் மாநாடு (24th World Congress of Philesophy, WCP – 2018). சீன தலைநகர் பெய்ஜிங்கில் நடைபெற்று வருகிறது(August 13 – August 20)
  • இம்மாநாட்டின் கருப்பொருள் “மனிதனாக கற்றுக் கொள்ளுதல்”(Learning To Be Human).
• குறிப்பு:
  • சீன நாடானது இதற்கு முன் Change – 3 – 3 என்ற திட்டத்தின் மூலம் நிலவின் புவியை நோக்கிய பகுதியை ஆய்வு செய்வதற்காக “Yutu” எனும் செயற்கைகோளை அனுப்பியது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.

• அபுதாமி மாஸ்டர்ஸ் – 2018 செஸ் சாம்பியன் போட்டியின் மூலம், இந்தியாவின் “53-வது செஸ் கிராண்ட் மாஸ்டராக” கேரளாவைச் சேர்ந்த “நிகில் சரின்” என்பவர் தேர்வாகியுள்ளார்.

அறிவியல் & தொழில் நுட்பம்

 

• Dial 100 police – செயலி – மத்திய பிரதேச மாநில அரசு அவசர நேரத்தில் உதவி தேவைப்படுபவர்களுக்கு Dial 100 police என்ற மொபைல் செயலி-யை அறிமுகப்படுத்தியுள்ளது.

 

 

• பூனாவைச் சேர்ந்த வானியலாளர்கள் இந்தியாவின் மிகப்பெரிய மீட்டர் அலை ரேடியோ தொலைநோக்கியான GMRT –ஐ (Giant Metre Wave Radio Telescope) பயன்படுத்தி சுமார் 12 பில்லியன் ஒளி ஆண்டு தூரத்தில் அமைந்துளள் கதிர்வீச்சு (ரேடியோ) பால்வெளி மண்டலத்தை (Radio Galaxy) கண்டறிந்துள்ளனர்.

NATIONAL NEWS

• Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje announced that the state will observe September as the “month of nutrition” to create awareness among people living in the state.
  • Raje announced that from next month, students of Class 1 to 8 of government schools will be given milk daily instead of thrice a week, for which additional funds of Rs 203 crore will be allocated.

 

• Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar dedicated the state’s first civil airport at Hisar to the people of Haryana, saying it would open the possibilities of creating an economic corridor and vibrant industrial
  • He also said that a high-speed train would soon be started from Hisar to Delhi to improve connectivity to the international airport at New Delhi.

 

• On the event of heavy rainfall and flood in Kerala, the Central government has constituted a coordination committee to work on the discharge of floodwaters between Kerala-Tamilnadu.
  • The committee is headed by the Central Water Commission Chairman Narendra Kumar to coordinate the discharge of floodwaters from inter-State projects involving Kerala and Tamil Nadu.

 

• To help them understand and identify sexual abuse, Amnesty International India launched a new campaign named ‘Our Safety, Our Rights’, among children against sexual abuse.
  • The campaign will culminate on October 11 – International Day of the Girl Child.

 

• Commemorating its golden jubilee ‘iCRAFPT ’18’, the Indian Institute of Food Processing Technology (IIFPT), started an international conference on recent advances in food processing technology till August 19, 2018 at its campus in Thanjavur.
  • The theme of the conference is: ‘Doubling Farmers Income through Food Processing’

 

• A special film festival on the theme “Freedom Struggle and Freedom Fighters” was held to mark India’s 72nd Independence Day, in Mumbai. The festival was organized by Films Division, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.

 

ECONOMY

• India Ratings and Research (Ind-Ra) has revised down its FY19 economic growth forecast to 7.2% from 7.4% earlier.
  • It cited the headwinds emanating from elevated global crude oil prices and the government’s decision to fix the minimum support prices of all kharif crops at 5x of the production cost as the reason for the downward revision.

 

SPORTS

• International Master Nihal Sarin became the 53rd Grandmaster of India despite losing his final round game to Richard Rapport of Hungary in the ninth and final round of Abu Dhabi Masters.

 

• Indian cyclist Esow Alben has won India’s first medal (a silver medal) at the 2018 UCI Junior Track Cycling World Championships in Aigle, Switzerland.

• IAS officer K S Srinivas has taken over as Chairman of Marine Products Export Development Authority (MPEDA).
