• சர்வதேச இந்திய விளம்பர சங்கத்தின் 2018-ஆம் ஆண்டிற்கான சிறந்த விளம்பர விருது (Marketer of the year ) குஜராத் மாநிலத்தின் அமுல் (Amul) நிறுவனத்திற்கு வழங்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

 

 

• இந்தியாவில் முதன் முறையாக கேரளச் சுற்றுலா மேம்பாட்டு நிறுவனம் பெண்களுக்காக முற்றிலும் பெண்களால் இயங்கும் பொதுத் துறை உணவகத்தை மாநிலத்தின் தலைநகரமான திருவனந்தபுரத்தில் செய்லபடுத்தவிருக்கிறது.
  • இந்த உணவகத்திற்க்கு ஹோஸ்டஸ் (Hostess) எனப் பெயரிடப்பட்டுள்ளது.

 

 

• “Fortune 500” என்ற நிறுவனம் உலகின் மிகபெரிய 500 நிறுவனங்களின் பட்டியலை வெளியிட்டுள்ளது.
  இந்த பட்டியலில் முதல் இடத்தில் Walmart United States உள்ளது.

• தெலுங்கனா மாநிலத்தின் தகவல் தொழில் நுட்பம், மின்னனு மற்றும் தகவல் தொடர்பு அமைச்சகம் Tech Mahindra வுடன் இணைந்து Block Chain என்னும் ஒப்பந்தம் செய்துள்ளது.
  • இது ஹைதெராபாத்தில் நடைபெற்ற சர்வதேச Block Chain கூட்டம், 2018 இல் கையெழுத்து இடப்பட்டது.
  • Block Chain என்பது பரவலாகக்கப்பட்ட சீற்குலையாத இணைய பேரேடு இதன் முலம் தகவல்களை நகல் இல்லாமல் சேமிக்க முடியும்.

 

 

• பிரதான் மந்திரி உஜ்ஜ்வல யோஜனா என்ற திட்டத்தின் கீழ் 5 கோடி இலவச இணைப்பு என்ற இலக்கை மத்திய அரசு அடைந்ததாக அறிவித்துள்ளது.
  • இது கணக்கிடப்பட்ட இலக்கை விட எட்டு மாதம் முன்னதாகும்.
  • இது 2016 ஆம் ஆண்டு தொடங்கப்பட்டது.

 

 

• மத்திய பிரதேச மாநிலத்தில் ஜாபுவா என்ற மாவட்த்தில் இருந்து வரும் கடக்நாத் (Kadaknath) கோழி இறைச்சி புவிசார் குறியிடு ( GI Tag) என்ற பட்டத்தை சென்னையில் உள்ள புவியியல் குறியீட்டு பதிவு மற்றும் அறிவசார் சொத்து இந்தியாவிடம் இருந்து பெற்றுள்ளது.

 

 

• TRAI- Telecom Regulatory Authority of India இந்தியாவின் தொழில்த்தொடர்பு ஒழுங்கு முறை ஆணையமான (TRAI) 2022 க்குள் இந்தியவிற்கு தேவையான அணைத்து தொலைத்தொடர்பு சாதனங்களையும் இந்தியவில் உற்பத்தி செய்ய வேண்டும் என்ற இலக்கை நிர்ணையத்துள்ளது.

 

 

உலக நிகழ்வுகள்

 

• ஜிம்பாப்வேயில் 37 ஆண்டுகளுக்கு பிறகு நடைப்பெற்ற தேர்தலில் எமர்சன் முனங்காக்வா((EMERSON MNANGAGWA)) என்பவர் வென்று மீண்டும் அதிபரானார்.

 

 

விளையாட்டு நிகழ்வுகள்

 

• இதுவரை இங்கிலாந்து ஆண்களுக்கான டெஸ்ட் போட்டியில் 1877 ஆம் ஆண்டு ஆஸ்ரேலியாவுக்கு எதிராக விளையாடத் தொடங்கியதிலிருந்து 999 போட்டிகளை விளையாடியுள்ளது. இந்த 999 போட்டிகளில் 357 டெஸ்ட்களில் வெற்றியும் 297 டெஸ்ட்களில் தோல்வியும் 345 போட்டிகளில் எந்த சமமாக முடிந்துள்ளது.

NATIONAL NEWS

• In an effort to boost ties between India and Japan in the bamboo craft sector, a team from the Japanese embassy in New Delhi and stakeholders in the bamboo handicraft sector of Tripura took part in a workshop called ‘Bridging Japan and India by Bamboo’.

 

• FICCI Ladies Organisation, the women’s wing of Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry has launched a mobile application aimed at creating awareness on preventive healthcare.
  • The mobile application “WOW” (Wellness of Women) is backed by city-based Apollo Hospitals Group that offers access to renowned doctors and provides health tips.

 

• Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur launched an awareness campaign named “Horn Not Ok” along with a statewide mobile app “Shoor Nahin” or no noise in Shimla and Manali.
  • The mobile app “Shoor Nahin”, is an initiative to check noise pollution in the state. The app has been developed to report any noise pollution complaint to authorities.

 

• A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Ministries of Environment; Forest and Climate Change and Skill Development and Entrepreneurship took place up skilling and certification of 100,000 RAC service technicians.
  • This is under under the Skill India Mission – Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY).

 

• Ministry of Textiles and Ministry of Power have joined hands under the initiative SAATHI (Sustainable and Accelerated Adoption of efficient Textile technologies to Help Small Industries) in order to sustain and accelerate the adoption of energy efficient textile technologies in the power loom sector.

 

• Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu launched ‘Mukhya Mantri-Yuva Nestham’ scheme to allowance to unemployed youth in the state.
  • The allowance will be of Rs 1000 per month.
  • 12 lakh youths in the age group of 22-35 years will get the benefit.

 

• The famous Kadaknath chicken meat from Jhabua district of Madhya Pradesh has now got a Geographical Indication (GI) tag.
  • The application was made in the category of “Meat Product, Poultry & Poultry Meat“, was approved on July 30.

 

INTERNATIONAL NEWS

• Typhoon Jongdari made landfall in Shanghai’s coastal Jinshan district, according to the National Meteorological Centre. The situation has been handled in a timely manner and the rain has weakened, it said.

 

• Facebook announced the launch of a “Digital Literacy Library” to help young people build the skills they need to safely enjoy online technology.

 

ECONOMY

• The commerce and industry ministry joined hands with Invest India to offer its three-month programme ‘Integrate to Innovate’ for startups in the sector.
• This programme would be carried out by the department of industrial policy and promotion (DIPP).

 

• Karnataka Vikas Grameen Bank launched a new deposit scheme ‘Vikas Bonanza 456’, offering higher rate of interest. The scheme is applicable to all segments of depositors.

 

AWARDS

• Hindi Academy Delhi has given its highest Shalaka Samman for 2017-18 to bollywood lyricist and poet Javed Akhtar. He is a father of Actor-filmmaker Farhan Akhtar.

 

APPOINTMENTS

• President Emmerson Mnangagwa of Zanu-PF – Zimbabwe’s ruling party, was declared the winner of the first Presidential Elections without the former’s successor, Robert Mugabe.
