இந்திய நிகழ்வுகள்

 

• வாடிக்கையாளர்களை மின்சாரத்தினால் இயங்கும் கார்களை வாங்க ஊக்குவிக்கும் வகையில் SBI வங்கி முதல் முறையாக இந்தியாவில் “பசுமை கார் கடன்” (Green Car Loan) என்ற திட்டத்தை அறிமுகப்படுத்தியுள்ளனர்.
  • இது ஏற்கனவே இருக்கும் கார் கடன் திட்டத்தின் வட்டி விகிதத்தை விட 20 அடிப்படை புள்ளிகளுக்கு குறைத்துள்ளது. இதனை உலக பூமி தினமான ஏப்ரல் 22 அறிவித்தது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.

 

 

• வர்த்தக மற்றும் தொழில்துறை அமைச்சகம் “Startup India Vision – 2024” என்ற திட்டத்தின் கீழ் ஒரு புதியதாக தொழில் முனைவோர்களை ஊக்குவிக்கும் வகையில் வரி சலுகைகள் உள்ளிட்ட பல திட்டங்களை அறிவித்துள்ளனர்.
  • இதனை கொடுத்தது DPIIT என்பது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.
  • இதன் முக்கிய குறிக்கோள் 2024-க்குள் 50,000 புதிய தொழில் முனைவோர்களை ஊக்குவிப்பதாகும்.

 

 

• ஆயுதப் படை வரலாற்றில், இராணுவ காவல் துறையில் காவலர்கள் பிரிவில் பெண்கள் இணைவதற்கு இணைய வழியில் விண்ணப்பங்கள் வரவேற்கப்படுகின்றன.
  • இராணுவ காவல் துறையில் அதிகாரிகள் நிலை பணியிடங்களைத் தவிர்த்து மற்ற பணியிடங்களில் பெண்கள் இதுவரை நியமிக்கப்பட்டதில்லை. இராணுவ காவல்துறையில் முதல் முறையாக காவலர்கள் மற்றும் பணியாளர்கள் பிரிவில் பெண்கள் பணியில் அமர்த்தப்படவுள்ளனர்.
  • இராணுவத்தில் 3.80 சதவீதமும், விமானப்படையில் 13.09 சதவீதமும், கடற்படையில் 6 சதவீதமும் மட்டுமே பெண்கள் பணியாற்றுவது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.

 

 

உலக நிகழ்வுகள்

 

• அரபு அமிரகத்தின் எட்டிஹாத் ஏர்வேஸை சார்ந்த விமானமான EY484 என்ற விமானம் ஒரு முறை மட்டுமே பயன்படுத்தும் பிளாஸ்ட் பயன்பாட்டை முழுவதுமாக தவிர்த்த முதல் விமானமாக அறிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

 

 

விளையாட்டு நிகழ்வுகள்

 

• உலகக் கோப்பை துப்பாக்கிச் சுடுதல் போட்டி சீன தலைநகர் பெய்ஜிங்கில் நடைபெற்று வருகிறது. இதில் 10 மீட்டர் ஏர் ரைஃபிள் கலப்பு இரட்டையர் பிரிவில் இந்தியாவின் அஞ்சும் மௌத்கில், திவ்யன்ஷ் சிங் தங்கப்பதக்கத்தை வென்றனர்.
  • இதைத் தொடர்ந்து 10 மீட்டர் ஏர் பிஸ்டல் கலப்பு இரட்டையர் பிரிவில் இந்தியாவின் மனு பாக்கர், சௌரப் சௌதரி தங்கப்பதக்கத்தை வென்றனர்.

 

 

• ஆசிய குத்துச்சண்டை சாம்பியன் போட்டியில் இந்திய வீராங்கனைகள் சரிதா தேவி, மணிஷா மௌன், சோனியா சஹல், ஆடவர் பிரிவில் ஷிவ தாபா, ஆஷிஷ் ஆகியோர் வெண்கலப்பதக்கம் வென்றனர்.
  • மகளிர் 60 கிலோ பிரிவில் மூத்த வீராங்கனை சரிதாதேவி, 54 கிலோ பிரிவில் மணிஷா மௌன் ஆகியோர் வெண்கலப்பதக்கம் வென்றார்.
  • அதே போல் 57 கிலோ பிரிவில் சோனியா சஹல், 51 கிலோ பிரிவில் நிகாட் ஸரீன் உள்ளிட்டோரும் வெண்கலம் வென்றனர்.

 

 

• ஆசிய தடகள சாம்பியன்ஷிப்: இந்தியாவுக்கு 3ஆவது தங்கம்
  • கத்தாரின் தோஹா நகரில் நடைபெற்ற ஆசிய தடகள சாம்பியன்ஷிப் போட்டியில் இந்திய வீராங்கனை பி.யு. சித்ரா 1500 மீட்டர் ஓட்டத்தில் இலக்கை எட்டி தங்கம் வென்றார்.

 

 

அறிவியல் மற்றும் தொழில்நுட்பம்

 

• ‘அகடெமிக் லொமோனிசோவ்’ என்ற பெயரில் உலகின் முதலாவது மிதக்கும் அணு மின் நிலையத்தை ரஷ்யா வெற்றிகரமாக பரிசோதித்துள்ளது.
  • 70 ஆறு ‘Akademik Lomonosov’ உலகின் முதலாவது மிதக்கும் அணு மின் நிலையம், ரஷ்யாவின் அணுசக்தி ஆற்றல் ஒத்துழைப்புடன் ரோசாட்டமின் ஆபரேட்டர் துணை நிறுவனமான ரோசென்கோடோமால்(Rosenergoatom) வெற்றிகரமாக பரிசோதிக்கப்பட்டது.
  • இந்த கப்பல் புகழ் பெற்ற கல்வியறிஞரான மைக்கேல் லொமோமனோசோவின் பெயரிடப்பட்டது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.

• பாகிஸ்தானில் இருந்து டான் ஆசிரியரான சிரில் அல்மேதா, அவருடைய பாகிஸ்தானில் உள்நாட்டு மற்றும் இராணுவ உறவுகளின் “விமர்சன” மற்றும் ‘உறுதியான பாதுகாப்பு” ஆகியவற்றில் அவரது பங்களிப்புக்காக 2019 ஆம் ஆண்டில் IPI’s (இன்டர்நேஷனல் பிரஸ் இன்ஸ்டிடியூட்) (International Press Institute) உலக பத்திரிக்கை சுதந்திரத்தின் ஹீரோ (World Press Freedom Hero 2019) என்ற விருது பெற்றார்.

• 2019ம் ஆண்டு ஏப்ரல் மாதம் 25ம் தேதி உலக மலேரியா தினம் உலகம் முழுவதிலும் கொண்டாடப்பட்டது.
  • இந்த ஆண்டின் கருப்பொருள்: “ஜீரோ மலேரியா என்னுடன் தொடங்குகிறது” (Zero malaria starts with me).

NATIONAL NEWS

• On 24th April 2019, With an aim to develop healthy youths, the World Health Organization (WHO) has issued recommendations on the use of sedentary screen  which includes watching television or videos and playing computer games for children under 5-year-old.
  • This is the first such guidelines which are released by the United Nations Agency.

 

• Recently, Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has divested its entire stake in National Housing Bank (NHB) and National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) to the central government forRs 1,450 crore and Rs 20 crore Now the central government holds a 100 percent stake in both these financial institutions. 

 

• On World Earth Day- April 22, 2019 the State Bank of India (SBI) has launched India’s first ‘Green Car Loan’ (Electric Vehicle) to encourage customers to buy electric vehicles. The new scheme ‘Green Car Loan’ will offer loan at 20 basis points lowerthan the interest rate on the existing car loan schemes.

 

INTERNATIONAL NEWS

• Iran and Pakistanhave agreed to set up a joint border “reaction force” following a number of deadly attacks by militant groups on their frontier, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani announced after talks with visiting Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan.

 

SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY

• The 70 MW ‘Akademik Lomonosov’, world’s first floating nuclear power plant successfully tested by Rosenergoatom, operator subsidiary of Rosatom, state owned atomic energy cooperation of Russia. The ship was named after famous academician Mikhail Lomonosov.

 

• On 25th April 2019, Japanese scientistshave successfully created the first-ever artificial crater on an asteroid, which gave some clue on how the solar system evolved.

 

ECONOMY

• The Commerce and Industry Ministry has proposed measures such as tax incentives to promote entrepreneurs as part of the ‘Startup India Vision 2024’. 
  • The aim of the vision document is to facilitate setting up of 50,000 new start-ups in the country by 2024 and creating 20 lakh direct and indirect employment opportunities.

 

SPORTS

• PU Chitra defended her 1500m title to give India its third gold medal at the Asian Athletics Championships.

 

APPOINTMENTS

• General (Retd.) Dalbir Singh Suhag has appointed as the next High Commissioner of India to the Republic of Seychelles. He will soon be taking over the new position.

• On 25th April 2019, World Malaria Daywas celebrated all over the world to create more awareness at the same time to reduce Malaria.
  • Malaria is caused by the bite of an infected female Anopheles mosquitowhich is caused by Plasmodium Parasites.
