இந்திய நிகழ்வுகள்

 

• உத்திரப் பிரதேச மாநிலத்தின், லக்னோவில் உள்ள சஞ்சய் காந்தி மருத்துவ அறிவியல் நிறுவனத்தில், தேசிய கார்டியோலஜி மாநாடு – 2019 குடியரசுத் துணைத் தலைவர் வெங்கையாநாயுடு தொடங்கி வைத்துள்ளார்.
  • இம்மாநாடானது உத்திரப் பிரதேசத்தில் முதன் முறையாக நடைபெறுகிறது.

 

 

• மத்திய மனிதவள மேம்பாட்டு அமைச்சகம் வெளியிட்டுள்ள தேசிய அளவில் சிறந்த கல்வி நிறுவனங்களின் தரவரிசைப் பட்டியலில், இந்திய தொழில்நுட்பக் கழகம் – சென்னை(IIT – Madras) முதலிடம் பிடித்துள்ளது. இந்திய அறிவியல் கழகம் – பெங்களுர்(IISC – Bangalore) இரண்டாமிடம் பிடித்துள்ளது.
  • மேலாண்மை கல்வி நிறுவனங்களின் தரவரிசைப் பட்டியலில் இந்திய மேலாண்மை நிறுவனம் – பெங்களுர் (IIM- Bangalore) முதலிடம் பிடித்துள்ளது.
  • பல்கலைக்கழகம் தரவரிசைப் பட்டியலில் இந்திய அறிவியல் கழகம் – பெங்களுர் முதலிடம் பிடித்துள்ளது.

 

 

• நாகலாந்தில் உள்ள கேண்யாக் இனத்தைச் சேர்ந்த 5000 பெண்கள் தங்களின் பாரம்பரிய நடனமாடி “ஆவோலிங் மன்யூ” (Aoleang Monyu Festival) திருவிழாவில் உலக சாதனை படைத்துள்ளனர்.
  • இவ்விழாவானது ஏப்ரல் 1 முதல் 3 வரை நாகலாந்தில் கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது.

 

 

உலக நிகழ்வுகள்

 

• சீனாவின் க்யூங்டோவில் சீன மக்கள் விடுதலை இராணுவத்தின் 70வது நினைவு தினத்தை அனுசரிக்கும் விழாவில் இந்தியாவின் INS – கொல்கத்தா மற்றும் INS – சக்தி ஆகிய இரண்டு கடற்படை கப்பல்கள் பங்குபெற உள்ளன.

• மெக்சிகோவின் மான்டெர்ரி நகரில் நடைபெற்ற, மான் டெர்சி ஓபன் சர்வதேச டென்னிஸ் போட்டி – 2019ல் பெண்கள் ஒற்றையர் பிரிவில் ஸ்பெயினின் கார்பின் முகுருஜா பெலாரஸ் நாட்டின் விக்டோரியா அஸரென்கா-வை வீழ்த்தி சாம்பியன் பட்டம் வென்றுள்ளார்.

 

 

 அறிவியல் & தொழில்நுட்பம்

 

• நாசாவின் விண்வெளி தொலைநோக்கியான டெஸ்-இன் தரவுகளைப் பயன்படுத்தி 5 மில்லியன் ஆண்டுகள் பழமையான மற்றும் பூமியை விட 60 மடங்கு பெரிய அளவுடைய புதிய கோளை அறிவியலாளர்கள் கண்டறிந்துள்ளனர்.
  • TOI – 1970 என்று இந்த கோள் அறியப்படுகிறது. அறிவியலாளர்கள் இதை “சூடான சனி” (Hot Saturn) என்று அழைக்கின்றனர்.

 

 

பொருளாதார நிகழ்வுகள்

 

• இந்தியாவின் மொத்த உள்நாட்டு உற்பத்தி(GDP) 2019-2020 நிதியாண்டில் 7.5 சதவீதமாக உயரும் என உலகவங்கி கணித்துள்ளது.
  • மேலும் வேளாண்துறை வளர்ச்சியானது 4 சதவீத அளவிற்கு அதிகரிக்கும் என்றும் குறிப்பிட்டுள்ளது.

• கோஹிமாப் போர் நினைவு தினம் – ஏப்ரல், 4 1944
  • இந்தியா கோஹிமாப் போரின் 75வது நினைவு தினத்தை ஏப்ரல் 4 அன்று கடைப்பிடித்தது. இரண்டாம் உலகப் போரின் போது 1944ம் ஆண்டில் நடத்தப்பட்ட ஆப்ரேசன் – ‘சி’ யின் திருப்பு முனையாக கோஹிமாவில் நடைபெற்ற இந்தப் போரானது கிழக்கின் ஸ்டாலின் கிரேடு என்றழைக்கப்படுகிறது.

NATIONAL NEWS

• On 8th April 2019,President Ramnath Kovind Published National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2019and Atal Ranking of Institutions for Innovation Achievements (ARIIA) 2019ranking for higher educational institutes in India at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi.
• The rankings are as follows:
  • Overall Category – IIT Madras
    Top institute in Universities category -IISC  Bangalore
    Universities category – IISc Bangalore (first),JNU New Delhi (second)

 

• Military forces of India and Singaporegot together to participate in a joint exercise in Babina Cantonment in Jhansi.The three-day exercise, ‘Bold Kurukshetra–2019’, is being conducted to develop military technology, boost maritime security and bolster the nations’ fight against terrorism.

 

• In an attempt to set a newGuinness World Records in the category of ‘largest traditional Konyak dance display,’ around 5,000 Konyak community women, all decked up in colourful traditional attire, danced to the tune of a ceremonial song at Nagaland, coinciding with the Aoleang festival.
  • The themeof this year’s Aoleang, also called Mini Hornbill festival, was ‘Empowering women for cultural heritage.’

 

INTERNATIONAL NEWS

• On 8th April, 2019, Londonbecame the first city in the world to implement a Ultra Low Emission Zone for 24×7 hours a week, inside which vehicles will have to meet tough emissions standards.
  • This zone aims to reduce toxic air pollution and protect public health.

 

SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY

• American conglomerate, General Electricin association with IIT Madras,established India’s first ‘Cold Spray’ SMART (Surface Modification and Additive Research Technologies) Laboratory in the institution.And thereby IIT-M became the only academic institution with High-Pressure Cold Spray(HPCS) facility in India.
  • The High-Pressure Cold Spray machinery has been carried from Plasma Giken, Japan.

 

SPORTS

• Isaak Hayik of Or Yehuda, Israel, has set a new world record as the oldest active player in a professional soccermatch after tending the goal for Ironi Or Yehuda in game against Maccabi Ramat Gan.
  • Hayik, who turns 74 this week, was officially recognized with a Guinness World Records certificate after the game presented by a Guinness representative from London.

• On 9^thApril 2019, 54^th Valour Day of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) was observed to Pay Tribute to Martyrs of police at the National Police Memorial in New Delhi.
  • On this day, President Ram Nath Kovindlaunched Veer Parivar App for assistance to the next of kin of the CRPF martyrs.
