Assistant Conservator of Forests is a gazetted post under Group A services in the Tamil Nadu Forest Uniformed Services. The main duties and responsibilities of an ACF include management of forest resources, protection of forests from fire and grazing, wildlife conservation and management, silviculture operations etc.

The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) has released the notification for the recruitment of Assistant Conservator of Forests (ACF) in the Tamil Nadu Forest Uniformed Services. The recruitment is being done to fill 9 vacancies in the organization.
