| At the national level the Act was enacted on September, 1994. This Act came into force in the year 1996. | தேசிய அளவில் இச்சட்டம் செப்டம்பர் 1994 இயற்றப்பட்டது. 1996-ஆம் ஆண்டு செயல்பாட்டுக்கு வந்தது. |
| It was amended in 2003 to improve regulation of technology capable of sex selection. | பாலின தேர்வு தொழில்நுட்பத்தினை ஒழுங்குபடுத்தும் நோக்கத்தோடு 2003-ம் ஆண்டு இச்சட்டம் திருத்தப்பட்டது |
| Main Purpose (i) Ban the use of sex selection techniques before or after conception. (ii) Prevent the misuse of pre-natal diagnostic techniques for sex selective abortions. (iii) Regulate such techniques. |
முக்கிய காரணம் (i) கருத்தரிப்பதற்கு முன்னாலும் பின்னாலும் பாலின தேர்வு தொழில்நுட்பத்தை பயன்படுத்துவதை தடைசெய்தல். (ii) கருத்தரிப்பு கண்டறியும் தொழில்நுட்பத்தை பாலின தேர்வு கருக்கலைப்புக்கு பயன்படுத்தலை தடுத்தல். (iii) இத்தொழில்நுட்பத்தை ஒழுங்குமுறைப்டுத்துதல். |
| All bodies under the Act cannot function unless registered. | இச்சட்டத்தின் கீழ்வரும் அனைத்து அமைப்புகளும் பதிவு பெறாமல் இயங்க முடியாது. |
| The Appropriate Authorities are empowered with the powers of civil court for search. Seizure and sealing the machines equipments and records of the violators of law including sealing of premises and commissions of witnesses. | சிவில் நீதிமன்றத்தின் அதிகாரம் பெற்ற ஒரு அமைப்பு உருவாக்கப்பட்டு, அவ்வமைப்பு ஏதேனும் தவறு நடப்பதை கண்டறிந்தால் சோதனை செய்யவும், பறிமுதல் செய்யவும், இழுத்துமூடவும் அதிகாரம் பெற்றுள்ளது. |
| The Act and Rules deal elaborately with the maintenance and preservation of proper records. | சரியான தகவல்களை பாதுகாக்கவும், பராமரிக்கவும் இச்சட்டத்தின் விதிமுறைகள் கூறுகின்றது. |
