The IBPS Clerk Exam is a two-tier examination consisting of a Preliminary and a Mains exam. Candidates who clear the Preliminary exam are eligible to appear for the Mains exam.
The Preliminary exam is an objective type exam consisting of 100 questions from English Language, Numerical Ability, and Reasoning Ability. The total time allotted for the Preliminary exam is 1 hour.
The Mains exam is also an objective type exam consisting of 190 questions from General Awareness, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude. The total time allotted for the Mains exam is 2 hours 40 minutes.
Candidates who clear both the Preliminary and Mains exams will be shortlisted for interview. The final selection will be based on the candidate’s performance in the interview.
