• SpaceX’s Starship prototype rocket SN15 successfully lands after test flight
  • Elon Musk’s SpaceX launched and then landed the latest prototype of its Starship rocket on May 6, in the fifth high-altitude test flight of the system.Starship prototype rocket Serial Number 15, or SN15, flew as high as 10 kilometers, or about 33,000 feet. SN15 became the first Starship prototype to survive a high-altitude launch.
  • Mission : The success at SpaceX’s so-called “Starbase” facilities in Texasfollows a strong signal of approval from NASA, which last month awarded Musk’s space company $2.9 billion to use Starship for the agency’s first two missions to the Moon by around 2024

• Russia launches single-shot version ‘Sputnik Light’
  • Health officials in Russia has authorised the one-shot Sputnik Light version of its coronavirus vaccine for use. The developers of the shot said, in a statement, that Sputnik Light “demonstrated 79.4% efficacy” compared to 91.6% for the two-shot Sputnik V.
  • The vaccine has proven effective against all new strains of coronavirus. “Sputnik Light has proven effective against all new strains of corona virus, as demonstrated by the GamaleyaCenter, during laboratory tests.

• WHO panel OKs emergency use of China’s Sinopharm vaccine
  • WHO gave emergency use authorization on May 7th to a Covid-19 vaccine manufactured by China’s sinopharm, potentially paving the way for millions of the doses to reach needy countries through UN-backed program rolling out corona virus vaccines.
