| The Act provides a consumer the right to be informed about the quality, quantity, purity, standard and price of goods or services. | இச்சட்டமானது நுகர்வோருக்கு அவர்கள் வாங்கும் பொருள் & சேவையின் தரம், தகுதி, தூய்மை, விலை பற்றியவற்றை அறிய உரிமை அளிக்கின்றது. |

| 1. This Act is applicable on all the products and services, until or unless any product or service is especially debarred out of the scope of this Act by the Union Govt. | 1. இச்சட்டம் அனைத்து பொருள் மற்றும் சேவைகளுக்கும் பொருந்தும். இருப்பினும் மத்திய அரசு சில பொருள் மற்றும் சேவைகளை தடைசெய்யும் உரிமை கொண்டது. |
| 2. The Act is applicable to all the areas whether public, private or cooperative | 2. இச்சட்டம் பொது, தனியார் மற்றும் கூட்டுறவு என அனைத்து துறைகளுக்கும் பொருந்தும். |
| 3. Consumer courts have been established so that the consumers can enjoy their rights. This Act presents three – Tier Grievances Redressed Machinery. i) At district level – District Forum ii) At state level – State Commission iii) At national Level – National Commission. |
3. நுகர்வோர் தனது உரிமையை பெற இச்சட்டத்தின் மூலம் நுகர்வோர் நீதிமன்றம் அமைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. இது மூன்றடுக்கு முறையை கொண்டது. i) மாவட்ட அளவில் – மாவட்ட நீதிமன்றம் ii) மாவட்ட அளவில் – மாநில ஆணையம் iii) தேசிய அளவில் – தேசிய ஆணையம் |
| 4. Under this Act, the cases are decided in a limited time of period. | 4. இச்சட்டத்தின்படி வழக்குகள் குறித்த காலத்தில் விரைந்து முடிக்கப்பட வேண்டும். |
| 5. Goods are manufactured by the manufacturer and consumer buys them from manufacturer or seller. Services include transport, electricity, water, road etc. are under this Act. | 5. பொருட்கள் என்பது உற்பத்தியாளர் மூலம் தயாரிக்கப்பட்டு நுகர்வோரால் வாங்கப்படுவதாகும். சேவை என்பது போக்குவரத்து, மின்சாரம், தண்ணீர் சாலை போன்றவையாகும் |
| 6. To favour consumer protection and to encourage consumer’s awareness there is a provision in this Act to establish Consumer Protection Councils. | 6. நுகர்வோருக்கு விழிப்புணர்வு ஏற்படுத்தும் வண்ணம் இச்சட்டத்தின் மூலம் நுகர்வோர் பாதுகாப்பு கவுன்சில் உருவாக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. |
