• அமெரிக்க கடற்படையிடமிருந்து எம்எச்-60ஆர் ரக 2 ஹெலிகாப்டர்களை பெற்றுக் கொண்டது இந்திய கடற்படை
  • அமெரிக்காவும் இந்தியாவும் பாதுகாப்புத் துறையில் இணைந்து செயல்பட்டு வருகின்றன. இந்நிலையில் வெளிநாட்டு ராணுவ கொள்முதல் ஒப்பந்தத்தின் கீழ் எம்எச்-60ஆர் ரக ஹெலிகாப்டர்களை வாங்க அமெரிக்க அரசுடன் இந்திய கடற்படை ஒப்பந்தம் செய்துள்ளது.
  • அமெரிக்காவின் வாக்ஹீட் மார்ட்டின் நிறுவனத்தால் தயாரிக்கப்படும் இந்த ஹெலிகாப்டர்கள் அனைத்து காலநிலையிலும் பாக்கும் வகையில் பல்வேறு நவீன வசதிகளைக் கொண்டுள்ளது.
  • அமெரிக்காவிடமிருந்து 24 ஹெலிகாப்டர்களை வாங்க ஒப்பந்தம் செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளது. இதில் முதல்கட்டமாக 2 ஹெலிகாப்டர்களை அமெரிக்க கடற்படை இந்திய கடற்படையிடம் முறைப்படி ஒப்படைத்துள்ளது.
  • அமெரிக்காவுத்தான இந்திய தூதர் தரஞ்சித் சிங் சாந்து ஹெலிகாப்டர்களை ஏற்றுக் கொண்டார்.

• இஸ்ரேல் நாட்டில் தூதரகத்தை திறந்து வைக்கும் முதல் வளைகுடா நாடு ஐக்கிய அரபு அமீரகம்
  • 2020 ஆம் ஆண்டு முன்னாள் அமெரிக்க அதிபர் டொனால்டு டிரம்ப் முன்னிலையில் இஸ்ரேல் – ஐக்கிய அரபு அமீரகம் இடையே அமைதி ஒப்பந்தம் எட்டப்பட்டது. இதனை தொடர்ந்து இரு நாடுகளும் தங்கள் தூதரக உறவை வலுப்படுத்த தொடங்கியுள்ளன.

• உலகத்திலேயே மிக ஆழமான நீச்சல்குளம் துபாயில் அமைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது
  • உலகிலேயே மிக ஆழமான நீச்சல் குளம் ஒன்று துபாயில் திறந்து வைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. 60 அவ ஆழம் கொண்ட இந்த நீச்சல் குளமானது தற்போது கின்னஸ் சாதனை புத்தகத்திலும் இடம்பிடித்துள்ளது.
  • ‘டீப் டைவ’; நிறுவனம் சார்பில் துபாயில் உள்ள நாத் அல் செபா பகுதியில் அமைக்கப்பட்டுள்ள இந்த நீச்சல் குளமானது, சுமார் 1 கோடியே 40 லட்சம் லிட்டர் தண்ணீரால் இது நிரப்பப்பட்டிருக்கிறது.

• Indian Navy to get first set of 2 multi-role helicopters from US in July
  • After a wait of more than a decade, the Indian Navy is set to receive its first set of multi-role helicopters as America is set to hand over three MH-60 Romeo helicopters to the force in the United States in July.
  • The first batch of Indian pilots has also reached the US for training on the helicopters which would be arriving in India next year in July.
  • India and the US had signed over- Rs.16,000 crore deal to buy 24 MH-60 Romeo helicopters from Lockheed Martin in 2020

• UAE inaugurates embassy in Israel
  • The United Arab Emirates formally opened its embassy in Israel, inaugurating its diplomatic offices in Tel Aviv less than a year after the two countries announced they would establish open relations.
  • Speaking at the ceremony, Israeli President Isaac Herzog said the embassy opening was “an important milestone in our shared journey toward a future of peace, prosperity and security for the Middle East.”
  • Israel and the UAE formally established diplomatic relations last year after decades of clandestine ties. The two countries signed the U.S.-brokered normalization agreement

• Dubai is now home to the world’s deepest pool for diving
  • Deep Dive Dubai, the home of the deepest swimming pool for diving in the world, has been opened by Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
  • Located in Dubai’s Nad Al Sheba neighbourhood, Deep Dive Dubai’s pool has been verified by Guinness World Records as the world’s deepest swimming pool for diving at a depth of over 60 metres and holding 14 million litres of water, the equivalent of six Olympic-sizedRead More…
