TheIndia Meteorological Department (IMD) released a new list with the names of 169 tropical cyclonesin the Indian Ocean Region (IOR) including Bay of Bengal and the Indian Ocean.
- The tropical cyclones forming over different Ocean basinsare named by the concerned Regional Specialised Meteorological Centres (RSMCs) and Tropical Cyclone Warning Centres (TCWCs).
