TET Exam:
TET is referred to as the Teacher Eligibility Test conducted by the government to recruit the teachers for government schools. TET Exam is conducted in two-level which are CTET, State TET. Each state will conduct the TET exam for recruiting the government teachers, but the name of the TET exam will be differing for each state. For example, if the exam conducted by the Tamil Nadu government then the TET Exam is called TNTET, if the Kerala government is conducting the exam then it is referred as KTET, and it goes on like this for each and every state. CTET is conducted by the central government. Candidates those writing this CTET can hire for the central board school like NVS, Central Tibetan School, KVS, etc. TET Exam will be conducted once in 2 or 3 years. CTET and State TET have a validity period. CTET certificate has 7 years and State TET certificate has 5 years validity period. Candidates have to utilize this validity period of time to join as a teacher in the government school. If certificate gets invalid candidates can’t join in any government school.
Eligibility Criteria:
Age limit: Candidates who are applying for TET Exam, should have age from 18yrs to 40yrs. General category candidates have to get a minimum of 60% (90/150 marks) to eligible in TET exam and reserved category candidates should get 55% (82/150 marks) to qualify the TET exam.
Education qualification: They should possess Education in Bachelor and diploma in Elementary Education.
TET Exam pattern:
It has two paper, paper I and Paper II conducted for 150 marks.
