What is TNPSC Group 2 Mains Exam?

TNPSC(Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission)  is an highly tried exam of all time in the state. It has four main divisions Group 1, 2, 3 and 4. The Group 2 Exam is divided into two stream Group 2 (interview post) and Group 2a ( non-interview). The interview post will have Three phases of recruiting process. i) Prelims Exam ii) Mains Exam iii) individual Interview. Whereas the non- interview post will have a single process of recruitment. In Group 2 interview process the candidates who have cracked the exam with required cut off can appear for next level which is GROUP 2 MAINS EXAM. Unlike Group 2 prelims exam the mains exam will have the whole of descriptive Questions with 4 sessions, Each session will have specified number of words according to their marks. The Exam will be conducted for 300 marks.

SPECIFICATIONS OF GROUP 2 MAINS EXAM

GROUP 2 MAIN EXAM

TNPSC GROUP 2 main exam will happen followed by GROUP 2 Preliminary Exam. The candidates who are successfully passed their group 2 with required cutoff will able to attend the Main exam. Unlike preliminary exams the main exam will have written answers rather than Multi Choice Questions. There are four parts in Main exam Question papers; each session will have specified words of answer with their respective marks. The candidate should make sure that the answers don’t exceed the required words to save time in their exams.
