• திருச்சி மாவட்டம் முசிறி அருகே மண்பாறை கிராமத்தில் முதுமக்கள் தாழி உட்பட பல்வேறு பழங்காள தொல்லியல் தடயங்கள் கண்டு பிடிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

 

 

 

• டெல்லியில் நடைபெற்ற ஸ்கோச் -52 (SKOCH- 52) மாநாட்டில் தமிழக வேளாண்துறை உருவாக்கிய உழவன் செயலிக்கு ஸ்கோச் வெள்ளி விருது வழங்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

இந்திய நிகழ்வுகள்

 

• மத்திய சுகாதாரம் மற்றும் குடும்ப நல அமைச்சகம் ஆக்சிடோசின் ஹர்மோன் மருந்தை ஜுலை 1 2018 முதல் தனியார் துறையில் பயன்படுத்துவதை தடைசெய்யப்பட்டுள்ளது.

 

 

• விவசாயிகள் தங்களுக்கு தேவையான மின்சக்தியை சூரிய ஆற்றல் மூலம் உற்பத்தி செய்வதற்கு குஜராத் அரசு சூரிய சக்தி கிசான் யோஜனா (Surya Shakti kisan yojana) என்ற திட்டத்தை தொடங்கியுள்ளது.

• எந்த ஒரு நாடும் கால்பதிக்காத சந்திரனின் தென்பகுதியை ஆய்வு செய்வதற்காக சந்திராயன் – 2 விண்கலத்தை இந்திய விண்வெளி ஆய்வு நிறுவனம் (ISRO) அக்டோபரில் அனுப்ப உள்ளது.

1. இந்த விண்கலம் சந்திரனில் தண்ணீர் மற்றம் ஹீலியம் – 3 ஆகிய மூலப்பொருட்கள் இருக்கிறதா என ஆய்வு செய்கிறது
2. சந்திராயன் 1 2008ல் இஸ்ரோவிலிருந்து அனுப்பப்ட்டது.

• World food prize 2018  Lawrernce Haddad and Dr. David Nabarro உலக உணவு பரிசு 2018 லாரன்ஸ் ஹடாட் மற்றும் டேவிட் நபாரோ வழங்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

1. இந்த பரிசு 1986 முதல் பசுமை புரட்சியின் தந்தை நார்மன் போர்லாக் (Norman Borlaug) நினைவாக வழங்கப்பட்டு வறுகிறது.

 

 

உலக நிகழ்வுகள்

 

• தீவிரவாத அமைப்புகளுக்கான நிதியுதவியை தடுக்கத் தவறியாதால் பாகிஸ்தானை கறுப்பு பட்டியலில் வைக்க சர்வதேச நிதி கண்காணிப்பு அமைப்பு முடிவு செய்துள்ளது.

1. சர்வதேச நிதி கண்காணிப்பு அமைப்பான நிதி நடவடிக்கைக்கான செயல்பாட்டு குழு (எப்ஏடிஎப்) (FATF) Financial Action Task Force 1989 ல் நிறுவப்பட்டது. இதன் தலைமையாகம் பாரிஸ் உள்ளது.

1. ஜுன் 29 2018 மஹலாநோபிஸ்ன் 125 வது பிறந்த நாள் புள்ளியியல் தின (National Statics Day) நினைவாக 125 ரூ புதிய நாணயத்தை குடியரசு துணைத்தலைவர் வெளியிட உள்ளார்.
2. இவர் 1893 ல் கல்கத்தாவில் பிறந்தார.;

NATIONAL NEWS

 

• The Central Government has decided to replace the apex higher education regulator body University Grants Commission (UGC) with Higher Education Commission of India (HECI) to provide “more autonomy” to higher education institutes to promote excellence and facilitate holistic growth of the education system.

1. To repeal UGC Act 1953 and provides for setting up of Higher Education Commission of India.

 

• Ministry of Women and Child Development, Government of India organized aday-long Seminar on Technology Partnerships for Steering POSHAN Abhiyaan called ‘TECH-THON’ for POSHAN Abhiyaan – PM’s Overarching Scheme for Holistic Nourishment on June 28, 2018 at Pravasi Bharatiya Kendra in New Delhi.

 

• India has opposed the use of chemical weapons anywhere by anybody at any time and believes that those who indulge in such immoral act should be held accountable.

1. India voted against the use of Chemical Weapons at the Special session of the Conference of the States Parties to the Chemical Weapons Convention in Hague.

 

• The government has decided to set up two more underground crude oil storages in Odisha and Karnataka to increase emergency stockpile cover by 12 days to 22 days.

 

INTERNATIONAL NEWS

 

• According to a report from organization European Transport Safety Council (ETSC), Norway observes the lowest rate of traffic accidents in the world, leaving behind other European countries.

 

• The global anti-terror financing watchdog, Financial Action Task Force (FATF), has placed Pakistan on the ‘grey list’ for failing to curb anti-terror financing and money laundering on its soil.

 

AWARDS

 

• The ‘Sagarmala’, flagship programme of the Ministry of Shipping for port-led-prosperity has received the ‘Gold Award’ in infrastructure sector at 52nd Skoch Summit 2018 in New Delhi.

1. The Sagarmala Programme also received the ‘Order of Merit’ at the Summit.

 

• Lawrence Haddad, who is a British economist and food policy researcher, and Dr. David Nabarro, who has worked with the World Health Organization and United Nations on health and hunger issues, were named the 2018 World Food Prize recipients at the U.S. Department of Agriculture in Washington.
