இந்திய நிகழ்வுகள்

 

• போர்த்திறன் சார்ந்த வர்த்தக அங்கீகாரம் (Strategic Trade Authorization 1 – STA-1)
  • அமெரிக்கா இந்தியாவினை போர்த்திறன் சார்ந்த வர்த்தக அங்கீகாரம் ( STAa-1) பெற்ற நாடாக அறிவித்துள்ளது.
  • இதன் மூலம் மேம்பட்ட மற்றும் அதிநவீன தொழில்நுட்ப தயாரிப்புகளை அமெரிக்காவிடமிருந்து இந்தியா வாங்க முடியும்.
  • இத்தகைய அந்தஸ்து இந்தியாவினை அமெரிக்காவின் நேச மற்றும் பங்குதார நாடுகளான NATO ( North Atlantic Treaty Organisation) உடன் சமநிலைக்குக் கொண்டு வரும்.
  • தற்போது STA-I பட்டியலில் 36 நாடுகள் உள்ளன.
  • இந்த பட்டியலில் இடம் பெற்ற முதல் தெற்காசிய நாடு இந்தியா ஆகும்.

 

 

• மேகாலயா பால் மிஷன்
  • பால் உற்பத்தியை மேம்படுத்துவதன் மூலம் 2022 ஆம் ஆண்டளவில் விவசாயி வருவாயை இரு மடங்காக உயர்த்துவதற்கான மைய இலக்கை அடைவதற்கு மேகாலயா பால் உற்பத்தி திட்டம் உதவும் என்ற வேளாண் மற்றும் விவசாய நலத்துறை அமைச்சர் ராதா மோகன் சிங் தெரிவித்தார்.

 

 

• எதிரியின் ஏவுகணையை வானிலேயே இடைமறித்து அழிக்கும் திறன் கொண்ட அதிநவீன ஏவுகணை ஒடிசா மாநிலம் அப்துல் கலாம் தீவு பகுதியில் நேற்று வெற்றிகரமாக சோதனை செய்யப்பட்டது. (DRDO)

 

 

உலக நிகழ்வுகள்

 

• பாகிஸ்தான் தலைமை நீதிபதியான (Tahira Safdar) நீதிபதி தஹீரா சப்தர் – ஐ பலூசிஸ்தான் (Balochistan) உயர்நீதிமன்றத்தின் தலைமை நீதிபதியாக நியமித்துள்ளார்.
  • இதன் மூலம் பாகிஸ்தான் உயர்நீதிமன்றத்திற்கு தலைமை நீதிபதியாக ஒரு பெண்ணை நியமித்திருப்பது இதுவே முதன் முறையாகும்.

 

 

 நியமனங்கள்  

 

• ஏர் இந்தியா புதிய இயக்குநர்களாக தொழிலதிபர் குமார் மங்களம் பிர்லா மற்றும் ஒய்.சி.தேவேஸ்வர் நியமிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளனர்.

 

 

• ஆந்திராவில் மாநிலத்தில் முதல்வர்-யுவ நேஸ்தம் (Mukhyamantri Yuva Nestam) திட்டம் தொடங்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
  • இந்த திட்டதின் நோக்கம் 22 முதல் 35 வயது வரையிலான வேலைவாய்ப்பற்ற இளைஞர்களுக்கு மாதந்தோறும் ரூ.1000 வழங்கும் திட்டம் தொடங்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

• உலக தாய்ப்பால் வாரம் – ஆகஸ்ட் 1 ம் தேதி முதல் 7 வரை உலக தாய்ப்பால் வாரம் கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது.
  இதன் கருபொருள்: தாய்ப்பால் ஊட்டுதல் வாழ்க்கையின் அடித்தளம். (Breastfeeding : Foundation of Life.)

 

 

• பிங்கல வெங்கையா (Pingali Venkayya) தேசிய கொடியை வடிவமைத்தவர் பிறந்த தினம் 2.08.2018.
  இந்திய தேசிய கொடி 22 ஜுலை 1947 அன்று அங்கிகரிக்கப்பட்டது.

 

 

• தொழில் தொடர்பு துறை அமைச்சகம் e-Aksharayan என்னும் செயலியை உருவாக்கியுள்ளது.
  • இதில் தமிழ் வங்காளம் மலையாளம் இந்தி கன்னட மற்றும் அசாமி ஆகிய மொழிகளில் Scan ஸ்கேன் செய்யும் வசதியை உடைய மென்பொருளை உருவாக்கியுள்ளது.

NATIONAL NEWS

• Ranchi-based software developer Ranjit Srivastava is developing the world’s first Hindi-speaking humanoid robot, claimed to cost just Rs50,000 so far.
  • Named Rashmi, the AI-powered robot can also speak Bhojpuri, Marathi, and English, and is equipped with facial expressions and recognition systems. He was inspired to create Rashmi after seeing Hong Kong-made humanoid ‘Sophia’ in 2016.

 

• The Ministry of Culture launched a scheme called “Seva Bhoj Yojna” to reimburse central share of CGST and IGST on food, prasad, langar or bhandara offered by religious and charitable institutions.
  • The scheme will compensate such institutions of the Central Government share of Central Goods and Services Tax (CGST) and Integrated Goods and Service Tax (IGST) so as to lessen the financial burden on religious and charitable bodies that provide food/prasad/langar (community kitchen)/bhandara free-of-cost without any discrimination to public/devotees.

 

• The NITI Aayog has launched Move Hack, a global mobility hackathon to crowd source solutions aimed at the future of mobility in India.
  • The Hackathon will be one of the largest hackathons globally and the Move Hack is focused on 10 themes.
  • The hackathon has a two-pronged campaign approach (i.e) “Just Code It” and “Just Solve It”.

 

• To create awareness about Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs), the Commerce and Industry Minister Suresh Prabhu launched a logo and tagline for Geographical Indications (GI).
  • The ministry had launched a contest for designing a logo and tagline for GIs. The slogan for the GI tag is: Invaluable Treasures of Incredible India.

 

• The Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) has launched Mission Solar Charkha for implementation of 50 Solar Charkha Clusters throughout India.
  • This scheme will offer direct employment to around 1 lakh people. This Mission was launched by President Ram Nath Kovind on the UN Small and Medium-sized Enterprises Day (27th June 2018).

 

INTERNATIONAL NEWS

• The United States Congress has passed the National Defense Authorisation Act-2019 (NDAA-19) which capped its security-related aid to Pakistan to $150 million, significantly below the historic level of more than $ 1 billion to $750 million per year.

 

ECONOMY

• Morgan Stanley has predicted, India’s gross domestic product (GDP) to grow by 5 % in this financial year 2018 – 2019.
  • Morgan Stanley’s report forecasts Consumer Price Index (CPI) inflation to remain above the inflation target of 4 % and the current account deficit below 5 % of GDP.
  • Morgan Stanley said that, India’s GDP is expected to grow by 5 % in this financial year 2018-19 as against 6.7 % in 2017-18.
