Document Verification
During document verification, candidates will have to produce their original documents & Format of Certificates mentioned below. Certificates obtained in any other format will not be accepted.

  • Matriculation/High School Examination Certificate or Equivalent certificate as Proof
  • for Date of Birth.
  • 10 +2 / Inter / Higher Secondary/PUC (As applicable)
  • Diploma / Engineering/Science Degree Certificate with Semester wise Mark Sheets
  • SC/ST certificate
  • OBC-NCL certificate
  • Non creamy layer declaration by OBC candidates
  • Income Certificate for Waiving Examination Fee for Economically Backward Classes
  • Minority Community declaration on Non – judicial Stamp Paper

Medical Examination

  • Candidates recommended for appointment will have to pass requisite medical fitness test(s) conducted by the Railway Administration to ensure that the candidates are medically fit to carry out the duties and Visual Acuity Standard.
  • For A-3 Medical Standard: Physically fit all respects. Visual Standards-Distance Vision: Distance Vision: 6/9, 6/9 with or without glasses (power of lenses not to exceed 2D), Near Vision: Sn: 0.6,0.6 with or without glasses and Must pass test for Colour Vision, Binocular Vision, Night Vision and Mesopic vision.
  • For B-1 Medical Standard: Physically fit in all respects, Visual Standards-Distance Vision: 6/9, 6/12 with or without glasses (power of lenses not to exceed 4D), Near Vision: Sn: 0.6, 0.6 with or without glasses when reading or close work is required and Must pass test for Colour Vision, Binocular Vision, Night Vision and Mesopic vision.

Scale Of Pay

  • For Junior Engineer (JE), Junior Engineer (Information Technology) [JE(IT)], Depot Material Superintendant (DMS) and Chemical & Metallurgical Assistant (CMA):-Level 06 (RSRP 7th CPC Pay Matrix.) with initial pay of Rs. 35400/-, plus other allowances admissible at that time.

             Educational Qualification

  •  The educational qualification for the Post of Junior Engineer (JE) is that the candidates must have a Diploma/ degree in Engineering in the relevant discipline.
  • For the post of Depot Material Superintendent (DMS), the candidates must have obtained a Diploma/ degree in Engineering from any discipline.
  • To apply for the post of Junior Engineer (IT), the candidates must possess a PGDCA/ BSc (CS)/ BCA/ BTech (IT)/ BTech (CS)/ DOEACC ‘B’ level course of 3 years duration or its equivalent.
  • The educational qualification required for the post of Chemical & Metallurgical Assistant is that the candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in Science with Physics and Chemistry. Furthermore, the candidates should have obtained 45% marks in the degree examination.
