Scale Of Pay

  • The basic pay scale for IES 2020 salary at entry level is around INR 15,600 – INR 39,100. The pay scale increases as the levels and time duration increases.

Personality Test: The students who will qualify the Mains Exam will be eligible for the Personality Test. The Personality Test is of 200 marks.

Marking Scheme: Deduction upto five per cent of the maximum marks for the written papers for illegible handwriting. Credit will be given for orderly, effective and exact expression combined with due economy of words in the conventional papers of the examination.

Educational Qualification

  • Candidates must obtained a degree in Engineering from a University, Or
  • Candidates passed Sections A and B of the Institution Examinations of the Institution of Engineers (India), Or
  • Candidtes must obtained a degree/diploma in Engineering from such foreign University/College/Institution, Or
  • Candidates must passed Graduate Membership Examination of the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (India), Or
  • Candidates must passed Associate Membership Examination Parts II and III/Sections A and B of the Aeronautical Society of India.

Medical Examination

  • Every candidate, on being finally recommended will be required to undergo a medical examination.
  • Medical examination will be conducted at various Railway Hospitals under the Ministry of Railways (Railway Board) in order to check candidates medically fit or not.
