இந்திய நிகழ்வுகள்

 

• வங்காளதேசத்திற்கு டீசல் மற்றும் இயற்கை எரிவாயுவை எடுத்துச் செல்வதற்காக, மேற்கு வங்காள மாநிலம் சிலிகுரியில் இருந்து வங்காள தேசத்தின் தினஜ்பூர் மாவட்டத்தில் உள்ள பர்பத்திப்பூர் பகுதி வரையில் 131 கிலோ மீட்டர் தூரத்திற்கு குழாய் அமைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. இந்த குழாய் மூலம் டீசல் கொண்டு செல்லப்படுகிறது.
  • மேலும் மேற்கு வங்காளத்தின் தாத்தபுலிய பகுதியில் இருந்து, வங்காள தேசத்தில் குல்னா பகுதி வரை இயற்கைவாயு கொண்டு செல்வதற்கான குழாய் அமைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

 

 

• பொதுத்துறை நிறுவனமான இந்திய விமான நிலையங்கள் ஆணையமானது, இந்தியாவின் முதல் வெளிநாட்டு விமான நிலையத்தை இலங்கையில் யாழ்பாணத்தில் உள்ள பலாலி என்ற இடத்தில் அமைக்கவுள்ளது.
•  குறிப்பு:
  • இந்திய விமான நிலைய ஆணையம், இந்தியாவில் சுமார் 60 விமான நிலையம் அமைத்து மேலாண்மை செய்து வருவது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.

 

 

உலக நிகழ்வுகள்

 

• சுற்றுச்சூழலுக்கு கேடு இல்லாத வகையில், கார்பன் – டை – ஆக்ஸைடை வெளியிடாத, ஹைட்ரஜனில் இயங்கும் உலகின் முதல் இரயில் ஜெர்மனியில் அறிமுகப்படுத்தப்பட்டுள்ளது.
  • முதற்கட்டமாக வடக்கு ஜெர்மனியில் உள்ள கக்ஸா-ஹெவன், பிரிமெர் ஹெவன், பக்ஸிடிஹீட் Cuxhaven, Bremerhaven Bremervoerde and Buxtehude ஆகிய நகரங்களுக்கிடையே இயக்கப்பட்டது.

 

 

•  மாஸ்கோவில் வர்த்தக, பொருளாதார, அறிவியல், தொழில்நுட்ப மற்றும் கலாச்சாரம் மீதான இந்திய – ரஷ்ய அரசாங்கத்திற்கு இடைப்பட்ட ஆணையத்தின் (IRIGC – TEC , Economic, Scientific, Technological and Cultural Cooperation) 23வது கூட்டம் நடைபெற்றது. வெளியுறவுத்துறை அமைச்சர் சுஷ்மா சுவராஜ் இந்திய பிரதிநிதி குழுவிற்கு தலைமைத் தாங்கினார்.
  • IRGC – TEC ஆனது ஆண்டுதோறும் சந்தித்து இருதரப்பு ஒத்துழைப்பின் தொடர்ச்சியான நடவடிக்கைகளை மதிப்பாய்வு செய்யும் ஒரு நிலையான அமைப்பாகும்.

 

 

• சர்வதேச வர்த்தகத்தில் தற்போதைய வளர்ச்சிகளை பற்றியும் உலகப் பொருளாதாரத்தில் அதன் தாக்கங்களை பற்றியும் விவாதிப்பதற்கான, G20 நாடுகளின் வர்த்தகம் மற்றும் முதலீட்டு அமைச்சரவைக் கூட்டம் Trade and Investment ministers form G20 meeting அர்ஜென்டினாவில் உள்ள மார்டெல் பல்டா என்ற இடத்தில் நடைபெற்றுள்ளது.

• பெலாரஸில் நடைபெற்ற் சர்வதேச மல்யுத்த போட்டியில் இந்தியாவின் வீராங்கனையான சாக்ஷி மாலிக் 62 கிலோ எடைப் பிரிவில், வெள்ளிப் பதக்கம் வென்றுள்ளர். இவர் இறுதிப் போட்டியில் ஹங்கேரியின் மரியன்னா சாஸ்டினிடம் தோல்வியுற்றார் என்பது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.
• குறிப்பு
  • 57 கிலோ எடைப்பிரிவில் மற்றொரு இந்திய வீராங்கனையான பூஜா தண்டா, வெள்ளிப்பதக்கம் வென்றுள்ளார்.

 

அறிவியல் & தொழில்நுட்பம்

 

• கொச்சியை மையமாகக் கொண்ட தொடக்க நிலை நிறுவனமான ஐசுழுஏ டெக்னாலஜிஸ் பிரைவேட் லிமிடெட் என்ற நிறுவனமானது நுலந சுழஎ என்ற இந்தியாவின் முதல் நீருக்கடியில் இயங்கும் ஆளில்லா வணிக விமானத்தை அறிமுகப்படுத்தியுள்ளது.
  • DRDO-வின் கடற்படை மற்றும் கடற்பரப்பியல் ஆய்வகத்திற்கு (NPOL – Naval Physical and Oceanographic Laboratory) முதல் வாகனத்தை IROV ஆனது ஒப்படைத்தது.
  • இவ்விமானமானது, உலகளாவிய தரத்திற்கு இணையாகவும், நீருக்கடியில் கடுமையான மற்றும் சிக்கலான பணிகளை மேற்கொள்ளும் செயல்பாட்டு திறன் உடையது.

 

 

• அமெரிக்காவின் ஸ்பேஸ் எக்ஸ் என்னும் நிறுவனம் சந்திரனுக்கு சுற்றுலா பயணிகளை அழைத்துச் செல்வதற்காக “பிக் பால்கன்” என்னும் இராக்கெட்டை சமீபத்தில் உருவாக்கியுள்ளது.
  • இதன்மூலம், சந்திரனுக்கு முதல் முறையாக சுற்றுலா செல்லும் சுற்றுலாப் பயணியாக ஜப்பானைச் சேர்ந்த யுசாகு மேசாவா என்ற நபர் தேர்ந்தெடுக்கப்பட்டுள்ளதாக ஸ்பேஸ் எக்ஸ் நிறுவனம் அறிவித்துள்ளது.

 

 

வர்த்தக நிகழ்வுகள்

 

• நாட்டின் பணப்புழக்கத்தை தூண்டுவதை அடிப்படை நோக்கமாகக் கொண்டு ரிசர்வ் வங்கியானது செப்டம்பர் 19 அன்று 10,000 கோடி மதிப்புள்ள அரசு கடன் பத்திரங்களை (G-Sec) வாங்க உள்ளது.
  அரசு கடன் பத்திரங்களின் கொள்முதலானது வெளிச்சந்தை செயல்பாடுகள்OMO – Open Market Operation மூலம் செய்யப்படுகிறது.
• குறிப்பு:
  • சந்தையில் அதிக பணப்புழக்கம் இருப்பதாக ரிசர்வ் வங்கி கருதுகிறதோ அப்போதெல்லாம் இந்த பத்திரங்கள் விற்பனை செய்யப்படுகிறது.

 

 

ENGLISH CURRENT AFFAIRS 

 

NATIONAL NEWS

• Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb inaugurated ISRO’s first Space Technology Incubation Centre at the National Institute of Technology Agartala via remote from Bengaluru. The Centre was launched at the first edition of ‘Spacetronics’ organised by the India Electronics and Semiconductor Association (IESA).

 

• Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Bangladeshi counterpart Sheikh Hasina, jointly inaugurated the India-Bangladesh Friendship Pipeline projects through video conferencing. Modi and Hasina inaugurated the work of the pipeline from their respective capitals, New Delhi and Dhaka.
  • They also inaugurated the construction of the third and fourth dual gauge rail lines in Dhaka-Tongi and Tongi-Joydevpur sections of Bangladesh Railway.

 

• The Union Home Secretary Rajiv Gauba launched an online ‘e-Sahaj’ portal for grant of Security Clearance. The portal will facilitate an applicant to submit application online and also to view the status of his application from time to time. With the introduction of online portal, the process has become standardized, resulting in a process which will be faster, transparent and easy to monitor.

 

• To re-convert waste water to clean water and contribute in cleanliness drive of Swachh Bharat, Union Science & Technology minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan inaugurated 2 projects at Sun Dial Park in New Delhi.
  • The 2 projects are: Local Treatment of Urban Sewage Streams for Healthy Reuse (LOTUSHR) project and
  • 2 bio toilets supported by DBT-BIRAC and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.

 

• A Loan Agreement for IBRD Credit of US$74 million equivalent for the Uttrakhand Workforce Development Project (UKWDP) was signed between India and the World Bank. The Project objective is to improve the quality and relevance of training at priority Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) and to increase the number of labor-market-relevant workers through short-term training in Uttrakhand.

 

• Union Minister of Home Affairs Rajnath Singh inaugurated two Comprehensive Integrated Border Management System (CIBMS) pilot projects along the India-Pakistan border in Jammu region. The pilot project includes two 5.5 kilometre-stretches in Jammu, the performance of which will be monitored, and based on the feedback improvements will be made for the rest of the system.

 

• The Prime Minister, Narendra Modi inaugurated and laid the Foundation Stone for several important development projects, at a public gathering in Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi. Among the projects inaugurated are the Integrated Power Development Scheme (IPDS) for Puraani Kashi; and an Atal Incubation Centre at BHU.

 

• Salman Khan will officially inaugurate “Umang“, a centre for special children in Jaipur. After unveiling the plaque, he will meet the children and see the services provided by the centre for rehabilitating them.

 

• President Ram Nath Kovind launched a logo and web portal for the upcoming celebrations of the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. The portal – gov.in is participatory in nature and all participating organisations will be able to upload their activities regarding the commemoration of the occasion.

 

INTERNATIONAL NEWS

• Germany rolled out the world’s first hydrogen-powered train, signalling the start of a push to challenge the might of polluting diesel trains with costlier but eco-friendly technology. Hydrogen trains are equipped with fuel cells that produce electricity through a combination of hydrogen and oxygen, a process that leaves steam and water as the only emissions.

 

• State-owned Airports Authority of India (AAI) will prepare a detailed project report for development of Palaly airport in Sri Lanka. This would be the first project for the AAI in the island nation.

 

ECONOMY

• The Defence Acquisition Council (DAC), chaired by Raksha Mantri Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman accorded approval for the procurement of equipment for the Defence Forces valued at over Rs 9,100 crores. The DAC approved procurement of two Regiments of Akash Missile Systems under ‘Buy (Indian)’ category from M/s BDL.
  • The Missile to be procured is an upgraded version of the previously inducted Akash missiles and will include seeker technology, possess 360-degree coverage and will be of compact configuration with reduced signature.

 

AWARDS

• The national capital’s Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) has bagged the title of Best Airport to handle over 40 million passengers per annum (MPPA) by the Airport Service Quality (ASQ) Awards 2017.
  • Delhi airport is now the seventh busiest airports in Asia and among the top 20 busiest airports across the world.

 

• Raghupati Singhania was awarded the ‘Mexican order of the Aztec Eagle’ by Her Excellency Ms. Melba Pría, Ambassador of Mexico to India on the eve of 128th National Day of Mexico. It is the highest honour given to non-nationals by the Government of Mexico.

 

APPOINTMENTS

• Actors Varun Dhawan and Anushka Sharma have been signed on to promote and endorse the Skill India Mission, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The actors through their film ‘Sui Dhaaga – Made in India’ are saluting India’s entrepreneurs and skilled workforce, especially homegrown artisans, craftspeople and weavers.

 

BOOKS

• The incredible story of Dutee Chand, who rose from abject poverty to become one of India’s biggest sprinting stars, will be brought alive in the form of a book titled as, “Story so far”. The book is written by journalist, author and filmmaker Sundeep Misra, who has previously authored a biography of hockey legend Dhanraj Pillay.
  • The book, Story Do Far will release in the year 2019.
